Walk! Lazy Bastard...You could use the excercise!

You could just book a $49 flight to Seattle or NYC or Minnapolis (which ever is closer) and get the dvd.

Well worth the trip I'd say.

I have limits. I wouldn't travel outside my fucking city for the thing, let alone my country.

Got mine Saturday.

Everything has been beautiful, including Flair blading 4-5 times at Starrcade '83.

I thought ALL DVDS don't come out until late for Canada not just WWE.

Nope. All DVD's get released up here on time save for WWE and random releases (ie. the new Tenacious D and Lewis Black DVD's).

Where do they make "all region" DVDs, and how do they work exactly?

Although, what does regional have to do with it--Canadians can play an American DVD on their players no problem, right?

Oh, and book a vacation you wanted anyway to some nice American city, and pick it up on the way... *shrug*

Got my Flair DVD today, and I must say WOW . . this is, by far, one of the best investments a wrestling fan could make.

BTW, anyone still looking for it, I ordered mine from a website called Overstock.com . . . got it for $21.39 - that's WAY cheaper than FYE or Best Buy or any of the "chain" entertainment stores. I refuse to pay the money that Amazon wants for their DVD's - they "claim" to have such a great deal, but you can always beat their price if you just look around a bit.

Anyway, I've watched the first disk so far, and the definite highlight is the Flair/Windham WorldWide match. It is absolutely great, and the promos/highlights package leading up to the match itself is just too good.

I plan on getting it this afternoon. But I think I won't have enough time to see it til Friday. But I could just watch a little bit at a time.

Region 1 is North America.

You can't play DVDs from overseas on a North American player. Which, up until recently, was a shame, because the UK always was coming out with American TV shows on DVD.

To answer the original question, IF it's been released here in Canada, I'm picking it up and watching it tonight.

It doesn't help that Banky has outstanding warrants in the US either

The region code for Hong Kong is 3 but they usually say screw it and make it region ALL to get more sales. They also usually put DTS tracks on their stuff which most region 1 dvds don't and the average price over there is 5-10$ a movie.

Other then that no one else does region all other then bootleggers.

Just in case anyone ordered from deepdiscountdvd I called to cancel and it turns out it's on backorder there anyways

Called Best Buy and they said they haven't got it in yet but that they have a bunch of UPS packages to go through and it may be in there and to call back in a couple hours.

Exception: the ECW DVD's available in the UK are all Region 0.

But their still PAL output right?

Now that I think about it the Battle Royale NTSC disc is region 0 , and the tin special edition is 0 but PAL

Their are some exceptions

Just bought the Flair DVD set for $26.99 at FYE. It came with a $5 rebate, which I plan to send in later today. I haven't started watching it yet, and probably won't until tomorrow afternoon, due to exams.

On a side note:

At fye.com, in two days (Saturday-Sunday), the pre-order price of the Flair and No Mercy 2003 DVD jumped five (19.99 to 24.99) and six bucks (13.99 to 19.99), respectively.
