It looks like Kid Rock has learned a thing or two from Pamela Anderson's ex Tommy Lee about dealing with the paparazzi.

After leaving a club in Malibu, California, on Friday night, Rock was allegedly involved in a scuffle with a photographer.

In a tape aired on "Entertainment Tonight" on Tuesday, Rock and Anderson are seen leaving the Malibu Inn after Rock jumped up onstage to play an impromptu set at the 450-capacity venue. A group of paparazzi swarm around the couple and begin snapping pictures and shooting video, as Rock — dressed in a black T-shirt, white fedora and khaki pants and with his hair pulled into a ponytail — appears to throw his drink on one of the photogs.

The tape then shows what purports to be footage of Rock — now wearing a red-and-white baseball hat pulled low over his face, a white tank top, khaki pants and hair pulled back — grabbing the same photographer by the neck and flinging him into traffic on the busy Pacific Coast Highway, as several cars speed by in an adjacent lane. Removing the smoke from his mouth, Rock then grabs hold of the photographer’s sweatshirt and throws a punch at his head, missing, as the unnamed paparazzo runs away.

The "Entertainment Tonight" piece claims other photogs on the scene called an ambulance and police and one of the photographers can be heard talking on his cell phone, saying, "He said, ‘If you give this to the press I’m coming after your family.' "

The video then showed one of the photographers lying down on the pavement as an ambulance arrived, seemingly at the urging of one of his cohorts. The paparazzo involved in the scuffle, who appeared uninjured as he quickly ran away from Rock, is then seen strapped down to a headboard as he is loaded into the ambulance, which then reportedly took him to a local hospital where he was treated for undisclosed injuries.

"There is an alleged assault incident we are investigating," said Los Angeles County Sheriff's department sergeant Tim Youngern, who would not elaborate further on who was involved in the alleged altercation. Youngern said it could be several weeks before officials are ready to comment on the case.

A spokesperson for Rock did not respond by press time and a Malibu Inn manager said he could not comment on the incident.

Rock, who threw a surprise 36th birthday party for Anderson at the low-key bar/restaurant in July, was not scheduled to play the Malibu Inn Friday night.

"We went into the club to have a drink and then there was a band playing and they said, 'Hey, would you guys like to play?' " Rock said at Sunday's American Music Awards "We said, 'Of course, we'd love to,' and they made a big production out of it. The owner did a sneak move and went and put our name on the marquee."

I love how these guys get "attacked," look fine, and then fall down on the ground to sell injuries to get law suits.

I have no sympathy for the Paparazzis. They completely ignore people's rights to privacy and intimate moments, treat them like caged monkeys at the zoo, and then wonder why people come after them for "doing their job". Hell, besides the fact she was with a drunk cheuffer, they were a major contributor to the death of Princess Di. They are scum of the earth, and anything that happens to them at the hands of a celeb, they deserve.

I think regular people who see paparazzi bothering celebs should smack'em up too. They wouldn't be able to identify us as easily. I know I would do it.

I have no issue with the photographers invading the celebrities personal space when they're walking down the street ... while I'm sure it sucks for the celebrity, it's completely legal and is a necessary price that comes with fame.

Kane, you said that the photographers were ignoring their "rights to privacy and intimate moments" ... uhm, Kid Rock was walking down the sidewalk. Not, that private or that intimate. It's one thing when the photographer uses ultra-long distance zoom lenses to catch someone in their backyard (that sucks and should be illegal) but if the person is just walking down the street, then they should be open for pictures.

It cracks me up that the guy had to fake hurt, big tough Kid Rock couldn't even really hurt a photographer. (nice blow to the image there). And it'll crack me up even more when the American Dumbass has to pay the guy $10,000 for assault.

That skinny, out of shape, chainsmoking bastard actually beat someone up. I just love it when some punk comes up to any of my teammates or me and talks smack to us. I would love to go put on a camera and be a member of the paprazzi for a day just so that when that punk ass tried that shit with me I would take him down and pound the crap out of him. I would double leg takedown him, push my chin up against my chest so his punches would do little damage and proceed to high knee him upward breaking his fucking ribs.

In about 10 seconds two or three of his bodyguards would probably be on you like stink on shit. BTW, ever been to any anger management courses? You might want to look into it Mr. Psycho/Roid Rage.

If I were a celeb, I'd hire a bunch of teens/college students, armed with cameras, to take pics of the paparazzi when they're swarming on me...

Or to follow their wife and kids around durring the days

They would have to get laid before they would have a wife and kids.

If he should seek help for a bad temper, than so should other people in this thread.

Remember kids, wrestling moves look REALLY stupid outside of a wrestling ring, by that I mean in fights, on the street, etc.

Aniston Settles on Topless Pics

by Lia Haberman

The pleasure of viewing Jennifer Aniston topless could cost you a whopping $550,000.

Put your wallet away. That's not an offer, it's the amount awarded the Friends star in a settlement with a man accused of circulating pics of her sunbathing sans bikini top, her publicist said Thursday.

The dispute stems from a 1999 incident, in which an overzealous "stalkerazzi" climbed Aniston's neighbor's eight-foot wall and, using a telephoto lens, snapped shots of thesp "reclining topless in her backyard, wearing only her panties," according to a lawsuit filed against a magazine that published the shots.

The intrusive snaps appeared in two American skin mags, which Aniston sued in 2000 just days after tying the knot with hubby Brad Pitt. She settled with Celebrity Skin and High Society in 2002 for undisclosed damages.

The pictures had found their way into three European publications prior to coming Stateside. Aniston sued each of those publishers as well, winning the grand sum of $1,000 from the French magazine Voici. A second case, against the Italian publication Eva Tremila, was settled out of court. Results of the third case, against Britain's Daily Sport, were undetermined.

The current settlement effectively ends the suit accusing Francois Navarre of invasion of privacy, trespassing and misappropriation of Aniston's name and likeness, according to a statement from her rep.

While Aniston accepted Navarre's plea that he wasn't the neighborhood looky-loo armed with a high-powered telephoto lens who snapped the shots, he has extended an apology to the perky TV star for passing the skin pics on to an Italian photo agent, who turned around and sold them for publication in Italy.

Navarre will pony up $100,000; his insurance carrier will cover the remaining $450,000.
