BUTT Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 This move may have been described in this thread, I'm not sure, but: a few years ago, I remember Edge doing a move where he got his opponent into a fisherman suplex (Perfectplex) then turned it into a swinging neckbreaker while still hooking the leg and neck. Does anyone know the name of this move and any other wrestlers who use it?
Mrnoitaull Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 andy douglas's finisher ? chase stevens finisher? Eric Young's "Showstopper"?
LucharesuFan619 Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Andy Douglas: The Natural Selection (Double Underhook Implant DDT) Chase Stevens: Shooting Star Press Not sure what the Showstopper is, but Young's other finisher, The Young Blood, is a Wheelbarrow Lift into a Catching (midair) Neckbreaker. Regarding Sensei John Kreese's question: Never seen Edge do the moves, but it's a Fisherman's Swinging Neckbreaker. B-Boy calls it The Plex-Breaker. Alex Shelley also uses it.
JST Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Steen's Go Home Driver: Holds the opponent as if for a slam, then swings him around like Chris Harris' (James Storm's?) Catatonic. Only he catches the legs behind his back and drops the opponent on his head/neck. Also, I'm gonna feel stupid as hell for asking this. What is AJ Style's Pele Kick? I've reffed the guy TWICE and I never bothered to pay attention to what the move is.
LucharesuFan619 Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 It's his backflip kick. Only way I can think to describe it. Backflips and catches the guy with a kick to the back.
Guest JebusNassedar Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 The Spinning Fisherman Neckbreaker is Donovan Morgan's creation. He refers to it as the Golden Gate Swing. To answer an ignored question, Danny Basham/Damaja's Brain Damage is a Slingshot DDT. What that entails is lifting the guy up with a facelock, balancing his feet on the top rope, usually in the turnbuckle, then dropping down with a DDT. Sometimes used when countering people on the top rope.
Guest JebusNassedar Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 EDIT: My first doublepost. Fuck.
Maztinho Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 It's his backflip kick. Only way I can think to describe it. Backflips and catches the guy with a kick to the back. The Pele kick is a bicycle kick for footie (soccer) fans, were a player would bounce the ball of his chest and then jump head over heels and kick the ball towards the goal. Just put someone's head in lieu of the ball and viola! Pele kick.
Guest JebusNassedar Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Shane Helms' Vertebreaker done by Homicide, while Low Ki jumps off the top and stomps the victim on the ass, shoving him into the mat.
LucharesuFan619 Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Who the fuck ever did that move? You'd have to be psychotic to take a move like that. A Vertaebreaker is dangerous enough, notwithstanding a fucking double stomp...
Guest 5.0Fanatic Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Who the fuck ever did that move? You'd have to be psychotic to take a move like that. A Vertaebreaker is dangerous enough, notwithstanding a fucking double stomp... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jay Lethal took it from Homicide and Low Ki at ROH's 5/7/05 show.
LucharesuFan619 Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 More reason to adore Jay Lethal, I guess...
JJ Johnson Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 Does anyone have a better description of the Koji Clutch than the one on the last page?
JST Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 Picture Muhammad Hassan's Flatliner finisher. Now, after delivering the move, maintain the hold on the opponent's head and then reach back with your left leg to torque the opponent's head back.
Guest Macaroni Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 I have two moves with only names, no descriptions! Mike Sanders' 3.0 James Storm's (TNA) 8 - Second Ride Thanks in advance for the help.
King Cucaracha Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 (edited) Sanders' 3.0- If you've seen Randy Orton deliver his backbreaker variation, it's that. Inverted headlock into an over the back backbreaker for a (slightly) better description. Edited July 4, 2005 by King Cucaracha
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 The Eight Second Ride is basically an Air Raid Crash/Kryptonite Krunch, only you spin your opponent all the way around and drop him face-first with a Flatliner.
Toshiaki Koala Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 What are some of Claudio Castagnoli's signature moves? I'm trying to create him in No Mercy but I'm not sure about any of his moves other than the Pyramid Bomb and European uppercut.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 He has the Jim Breaks Special, which is basically an elevated reverse hammerlock with Claudio lifting the opponent from the front, but that's not in the game.
King Cucaracha Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Shake Rattle n' Roll. Seriously. The $wiss Money Holding Sleeper, which I can't really describe but would look most like the Cobra Clutch on No Mercy. The Cravaté. He also has a Giant Swing, usually only when he's teaming with Arik Cannon.
Guest Happy Go Nowhere Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 The Arm and Hammer. Which is fairly similar to the TKO.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 What is Claudio's Atlantida Cutter? And is his Ricola Bomb the same thing as the Pyramid Bomb?
JJ Johnson Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 Get the opponent in a fireman's carry, then shove them off and knee them in the face as they fall.
LucharesuFan619 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 What is Claudio's Atlantida Cutter? And is his Ricola Bomb the same thing as the Pyramid Bomb? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Atlantida Cutter = modified Torture Rack into Cutter (Ace Crusher) Not sure about the Ricola Bomb. Where'd you hear of the Ricola Bomb? Here's a whole list of Castignoli's moves: Finishers: The Pyramid Bomb (Sitdown Straight Jacket Powerbomb) Other moves: 720° Phoenix DDT, *The Arm and Hammer (whole bunch of crazy submission moves)*, Atlantida Cutter (Torture Rack Cutter), *The Break Special*, The Cough Drop (Back Body Drop Lift into Catching/Midair Swi$$ Uppercut), The Money Dive Headbutt (Diving Headbutt Drop), Swi$$ Sleeper Holding (Buffalo Sleeper Hold), Swi$$ Uppercut (European Uppercut), UBS (Cross-Legged Inverted Fireman's Carry Cutter) (used vs. Derek Frazier at BOTB5) *jklewjlweljk* = submission
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 The "Break" Special is actually the Jim Breaks Special, and is an elevated Kimura from a standing position. The Ricola Bomb is another name for the Pyramid/cross-armed powerbomb.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I saw the Ricola Bomb mentioned in his bio on CHIKARA's site. And the Atlantida Cutter is basically an upside down TKO, then? (reverse fireman's carry swung into neckbreaker?)
King Cucaracha Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 And the Atlantida Cutter is basically an upside down TKO, then? (reverse fireman's carry swung into neckbreaker?) Well, a reverse fireman's carry, but swung into a Diamond Cutter rather than a neckbreaker. Can't picture it for some reason, but I'm pretty sure the move ends in a 'traditional' Cutter (if you can call a Cutter traditional).
LucharesuFan619 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Can't picture it for some reason, but I'm pretty sure the move ends in a 'traditional' Cutter (if you can call a Cutter traditional). Yeah, it does. That's right.
