Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 IMHO, Dreamer may have had *** matches with the following people Rob Van Dam Raven Lance Storm Justin Credible CW Anderson True, he is a "garbage" wrestler, but he does it damn well. Remember his hardcore match with Stevie on Raw? Got one of the best reactions of the past couple years. If the show is in NYC, Philly or in that general area... Dreamer is over like crazy...but other than that he doesn't get big pops.
MooreMark 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Who sucks more than Tommy Dreamer? I would give a nominee to Goldust, Scott Hall, John Heidenrich, One Man Gang, and Bossman... And the winner is (drum roll)... Hall and Goldust on a worse then Dreamer list are you mentally incapable?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Who sucks more than Tommy Dreamer? I would give a nominee to Goldust, Scott Hall, John Heidenrich, One Man Gang, and Bossman... And the winner is (drum roll)... GOLDUST? He's put on many quality matches over the years from his Natural Days to the last anf final incarnation of Goldust. Hall has been in more then 5 ****+ Matches (4 of which involved Shawn but that's not the point)... Hall, people forget was a GREAT wrestler before his addiction caught up to him and Many people seriously consider him one the greatest that never won the World Title (Piper, DiBiase, Anderson, Owen pretty much make the top 5)
dubq 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I'd rather watch an Orton match over a Dreamer match any day of the week. You must be a big fan of no ring psychology and crappy movesets. Yep. Must be.

Umm, Dreamer isn't exactly known for his moveset. Then again, few things are more overrated than movesets. -=Mike
Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I'll watch a Tommy Dreamer match long before a Goldust match. Youth N Asia and I cooked up a scenario where a guy like Dreamer could win the Royal Rumble but I don't have time to go into detail because of work.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 If the Rumble didn't have that stip that the winner goes to WM Main event... With it being in Philly, Dreamer would be IDEAL. Just as long as it wasn't the final match.
Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) Don't worry,Choken...we figured that into the equation too. Basically, since the Rumble can usually be narrowed down to anywhere from 1-3 people who are going to win since they added the Wrestlemania title shot stipulation....we figured a guy like Dreamer could win it and add some more unpredictability to it. Dreamer,a midcard/low midcard guy and an underdog who is still over with the crowds for the most part, gets into the Rumble, wins it......JR puts it over Foley-esque. Dreamer from Yonkers,NY is getting his dream title shot at Wrestlemania 20 in his hometown. Bischoff balks at the whole idea of midcard Dreamer getting a title shot at such a prestigious event and does everything he can to try and get the shot away from him. Handicap matches and such crazy stips but Dreamer keeps escaping and pulling off upsets. The crowds would, hopefully, be heavily behind him by the time No Way Out comes around. Put him in another match at that ppv. If the crowds aren't with him at that point, take the title shot away from him. Personally,I'd have him escape at the ppv and then if it's not working, take the shot away from him at the next Raw. If it is working, let them run with it. It'll still give them time to hype whoever beats Dreamer vs the champ at Wrestlemania......it would get Dreamer more over in theory and at least for one year, add some drama to the Rumble. Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 But if you not doing the WM stip and it's in Philly... Might as well plese EVERYONE and have RVD go over.
Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 We were talking about elevating a midcard guy mostly and Dreamer was a good test case.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I guess It would be fine because it wouldn't really be the Main event (thats reserved for the WWE title and the "DREAM MATCHES")
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Dreamer was always at best a middle ground wrestler. He had a more expansive moveset in ECW before it went from Eastern Championship to Extreme. Dreamer as a person doesn't bitch doesn't politic and does what he is told. and in a pinch he becomes a great Face to squash cuz he still have some ability to be over. as for performance there are many many many people whom just suck more and get more exposure. Guest Choken One Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Ha! If you mean better at Stalling and Posing to no end. Thank god WWE has exposed RVD for the fruad he is. RVD was So fucking protected in ECW where he was given 30 minutes where he could walk and pose for 27 and do his flashy bullshit offense for the three minutes and come off looking like he was a god because the one good thing he can do is interact with a crowd. Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Dreamer is fat and finished. In his "prime" he was OK when he had Paul E. to book him, but he was never a great worker or anything. Goldust rules. RVD is the shits.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Our angle also led to Dreamer getting his title shot at King of the Ring...and by then the match would be decided by how over he was. Since KOTR was the idea you can tell this idea is a little old.

PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 I'm not going to advocate Dreamer winning the royal rumble or anything, but he's shown he can still get the crowd into the hardcore stuff, and I can't understand why they killed the HC title the minute they put it on him, he could have had a good run before they retired it. Dreamer couls break out decent moves if he wanted to, but Orton was trained to be a boreass.
