kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 I was going to say "food" but just about any product in general is fine. When grocery shopping I usually just get whatever is on sale or the generic brand, but I have to have Miracle Whip and Heinz ketchup...

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Miracle Whip as well. It's different from regular Mayo, though.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Funny thing about Miracle Whip, it's often described in the commercials as "tangy" which I wouldn't consider it at all.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Funny thing about Miracle Whip, it's often described in the commercials as "tangy" which I wouldn't consider it at all. Compared to processed mayo, it's tangy I guess. Juice: Tropicana/Fla's Natural Pop: Diet Coke Toilet Paper: Cottonelle. Laugh if you want, but I'm particular about what I wipe my ass with. That's about it. I'm flexible with everything else, buying whatever's on sale.

When compared to Hellmans it sure is -- that's what I like about the ol' Whip. And I forgot about Pop -- When it comes to "cola" flavor, I can't stand generic... Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Gotta have Coke. I loathe every other cola, and only drink Pepsi when absolutely necessary. Root beer I don't care much about, I can drink any kind, whether it's A&W, Barq's, or generic.
Guest Nacho Nixon Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Ketchup: Heinz Mustard: French's Original, Keen's Hot Mustard powder (the best hot mustard powder around, bar none) Rolling Papers: Player's. Always Player's. Rye: Crown Royal And count one more vote against generic colas. If it doesn't have an advertising budget several times greater than Canada's GNP, not interested. Other than that, I pretty much just go for generic or buy what's on sale. President's Choice has also served me well as a fall-back brand for everything but the above. I'm totally uncompromising about mustard, though (well, primary mustards. With secondary mustards, I'll just buy whatever has a cool weird ingredient like horseradish or something.). MrRant 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Ketchup must be Heinez and sliced cheese needs to be Kraft. I prefer Mayo to Miracle Whip (pussies) so I like Best Foods or Nalley.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I don't taste the tangy in Miracle Whip at all. I guess I'm just weird. I'm not a big mayonaisse eater in any form though.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 To everyone talking about Miracle Whip, I've got a surprise for you probably. Miracle Whip isn't mayonnaise, Its salad dressing. Look on the jar the next time you spread some on. It just happens to go good on sandwiches, so thats what they sell it for mostly, but its meant to go in potato/macaroni salads and the like. Miracle Whip has mostly the same ingredients as Mayonnaise, except that it also has mustard flour, paprika and other spices. Im not brand loyal for the most part. Being the cheap bastard that I am, I buy whatever is on sale.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I've got an even bigger surprise for you. Thousand Island is ketchup and mayonaisse.

I know Miracle Whip isn't "mayo," but it's almost always compared to products like Hellmans mayo so I grant the loophole in this case...
