Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Someone Jim Ross hasd orgasms too over and over again during their entrance/match/whatever. Is Austin and Triple H (to a lesser extent, or course) honorary hosses then? JR loves them (moreso Austin) as faces, and still gives them respect as heels ("I may not like him, but he is the toughest SOB, blah blah blah"). Austin's a hoss. In fact, he's the probably the leader of the hosses. Austin being from Texas guarantees you that. The other prime indgriedient for hosses would be playing football. If you've played football and were good at it, you're a hoss. No wonder J.R. has a perminant boner for Bradshaw. A texan who played college football.....if not for Dr. Death, Bradshaw would be #1 on the list.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I'm pretty sure JR has called Test both a hoss and a stud. I always figured "Stud" was saved for someone who didn't meet one of the two hoss Criterion.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Well, the ultimate 'stud' was Billy Gunn, so you might be on to something.
Guest CronoT Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I'm pretty sure JR has called Test both a hoss and a stud. I always figured "Stud" was saved for someone who didn't meet one of the two hoss Criterion. The two requirements for being a Hoss are: Steroids and stupidity. Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted December 7, 2003 You can't be a hoss and a stud. A stud is like a junior hoss. I've given this much thought over the years and have actually devised a Hossish characterization guide........ Hoss - General big guy that need not be in good shape. Facial hair or some other "tough" characteristic helps with the "cowboyish" image that inspired this JRism. Classic Hoss = Bradshaw, Nash Stud - Very big guy who is in excellent shape. Classic Studs = Batista, Rock Monster/Manster = Huge, freakish wrestler that is either naturally scary looking or has a gimmick that gives a scary look. Classic Monsters = Brock, Kane. House = Big, FAT guy. Classic Houses = Mark Henry, Earthquake, Mabel Giants = Freakishly tall wrestler. Classic Giants = Andre, Big Show Horse = JR used to use this one awhile back. A Horse falls somewhere between a Stud and a Hoss. Meaning that, it's a guy who isn't big or tough looking enough to be a Hoss but not in good enough shape to be a Stud. Classic Horses = Test, Billy Gunn .....and that's my guide to the Hosses
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I always thought to be a hoss you had to have played football (Albert) live in Texas (Bradshaw) or both. A Stud would be someone that was as inept as Hoss, but had no football background nor was he from texas. (Test)
Kardo 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 He called Kane a hoss at Unforgiven 2001... But I guess that's because Undertaker is his brother.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 7, 2003 And since Taker is from Texas, the Kane character must be as well.

Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I wonder why Nathan Jones can't "take this business"? He's been in it for like, what, less than a year? They gave him an immediate push with Taker as an ally, an when that didn't work he became an enforcer for the champ and was on tv each week. And all they asked him to do was improve? geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 I am almost positive that JR called RVD a hoss in the 6 man tag on raw. I was shocked, how could this be? It turned my entire world upside down. I could not sleep all night, I tossed I turned, it was horrible.
claydude14 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 What the hell was wrong with Kane? Before Jesus Christ McMahon fucked him over, he was poping the best ratings on RAW since his unmasking. He made RVD look like a bitch (WOOO!) who can't win with his spotty offense. He at least made sure we dont see Shane for a while. He CAN have good matches. He can at least cut a decent promo, trying to be evil. Oh right, everyones probably thiking of the Necrophilia angle still, so let's hope he dies or gets fired. I think it's because of his size aka hoss. It seems alot of posters think that someone over 6'5 is a hoss and therefore sucks. wAIT, The Rock is around 6'4 or 6'5....... OMG HOSS He suuuuuuuuuuucks what determines a hoss anyway....... Someone Jim Ross hasd orgasms too over and over again during their entrance/match/whatever. Must use a powerbomb as finisher. Can't lose to someone under 6'3". The lsit goes on and on. JR told me at his book signing in Rochester that "Hoss means healthy" And then with a really sad look on his face, told me Austin was his favorite hoss... when he's healthy, which of course he hasn't been lately. I shit you not.
