Wrestlers getting beat by their own signature

Recommended Posts

I was watching SS '02 a few days and near the end of the Jericho / Flair match, Flair tapped out to his own Figure Four (but had grabbed the rope right before he tapped so he didn't lose.)

However, I do remember Lesnar earning a point in the Iron Man match by making Angle tap out to his own Ankle Lock.

Any other times a wrestler has won a match by using his one of his opponent's moves?

Besides Montreal...

"Children in the audience are crying! Hulkamania is dead!"

That was so funny.

Somehow I doubt we'll ever see Trips being pinned by his own move again anytime soon.

Just a hunch.

I actually called that about a week before the match, i could just tell that it would be as it was winning by pinfall only i knew that Benoit wouldn't put Angle away with the headbut.

Just a hunch.

maybe it'll be the only thing he can lose to, proving that it is such a devastating move that not even God himself could kick out of it.

I'm sure someone has kicked out of the Pedigree.

I know Rock has, and I am sure Austin has had to at some point.

I'm fairly certain Kurt Angle and Undertaker have too. Don't hold me to it though.

Ultimate Warrior kicked out of the Pedigree at Wrestlemania 12 in one of the true mat classics of the past 20 years, I believe....

He didn't kick out. Helmsley didn't even get a pin. Warrior just got back up to his feet.

Mick Foley kicked out of the Pedigree at Royal Rumble 2000 and WrestleMania 2000.

Brock Lesnar has also kicked out of the Pedigree.

?

Was a match in Australia, Rock vs. Lesnar vs. Trips.

Lesnar was hit by the pedigree, but kicked out.

Or so I heard.

Yep. The triple threat match is on the Global Warning Tour DVD.

Bret Hart put hundreds of opponents away with Owen's sharpshooter.
