The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 Many of you who purchased the Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD may have noticed that upon removing the protective sticker on the packaging, the artwork for the back of the Collection's digipax became ripped. A special phone number has been set up by WWE Home Video to order replacement digipaks at 203-352-8600 ext 1022. Those who wish to get a new one for their DVDs can call and leave their name, address, and phone number and they will send one out in the mail. Reader Alex Morales sent along a link to the trailer for the upcoming Mick Foley's Greatest Hits & Misses: A Life In Wrestling DVD. It looks absolutely awesome. According to the trailer, it will include over 5 hours of Foley matches. From clips on the DVD, WWF matches you will see at least in part include The Hell in the Cell with Foley vs. The Undertaker, Foley vs. Triple H at Royal Rumble 2000, Foley vs. Steve Austin from Over the Edge, Foley's WWF championship win over The Rock in Worcester, MA, and Foley vs. Funk from Raw is War. WCW matches that are showcased in the trailer are the entire Cactus Jack vs. Vader series from 1993, Sting vs. Cactus Jack at WCW Beach Blast '92 and Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne vs. The Nasty Boys at WCW Spring Stampede 94. The Foley DVD will also feature, for the first time on a WWE release since they purchased the assets of Extreme Championshp Wrestling, ECW footage of Cactus Jack vs. Sabu (matches from the ECW Arena in 6/94 and Hamburg, PA in 11/94), Foley's farewell match vs. Mikey Whipwreck from the Big Ass Extreme Bash, Cactus Jack & Whipwreck vs. The Public Enemy from 8/94, Cactus Jack vs. The Sandman in a No Ropes Barbed Wire Match from 6/95, and Terry Funk vs. Cactus Jack from ECW Hostile City Showdown '95. Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 17, 2003 See this is the problem I have with the Foley DVD... since he's already put out like 3 of them, a lot of this stuff has already been covered a couple of times. The Best of Cactus Jack in ECW DVD is basically entirely put in here for a second time. I just can't see a reason to pick this one up. The real money in these DVDs is to put stuff in that you would hardly ever get a chance to see normally. That's why pulling out the DVD for Flair makes money and why more money would be made mining the pre-Attitude eras for the superstars like Randy Savage in my opinion. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I agree that the foley DVD doesn't seem as if it was anything special. There might be some good stuff on there that they havent announced yet. But who knows, I would mark out for CJ vs. Sting from Beach Blast 92 on DVD though.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I can't find the Flair DVD anywhere You're not alone. I figured it would be easier to buy it in a real store around here than to buy it online, but it hasn't been.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I can't wait to see Cactus/Mikey again. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
Guest ManKinnd Report post Posted December 17, 2003 So much common stuff on there. Who hasn't seen the Rumble Street Fight? The HIAC? I'll probably get it for the few rare things on there, but this just isn't what it could be.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted December 17, 2003 The WCW footage should convince me to buy it, even though I've seen everything else: Cactus Jack vs. Sting Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne vs. Nasty Boys Lost In Cleaveland(Easter Egg? Please!) Like that guy says in that commercial(which I think airs only in Hampton Roads): "Its gonna be AWESOME!"
Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I've got a lot of the Foley stuff already. A couple of WCW and ECW matches there that I haven't seen so it'll be purchased.

cawthon777 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2003 Must have the Vader stuff. I already have Havoc 93 but the Saturday Night matches from March / April I want. And if they add some of the vignettes from that period, even better. I remember one right off the top of my head that was fantastic. After returning, Cactus is walking through an alley (which had a bunch of Smashing Pumpkins flyers in the background, IIRC) and speaks to the camera, saying people had come up to him recently asking questions ... "Cactus Jack, that wasn't really your family on TV was it?" "No, it wasn't." "Cactus Jack, did you really expect anyone to fall for you having amnesia?" "No, I didn't. But there were two people out there that fell for it, hook, line, and sinker - Big Van Vader and Harley Race!" He basically killed the entire horrible amnesia angle then and there, claiming it was simply a work on his part to trick Vader and Race. Great stuff.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted December 18, 2003 ^ I couldn't have said it better about the CJ/Vader stuff from Saturday Night. This would be awesome if they would add it to the collection and would be great to see on DVD.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2003 Should be a very good DVD, will it have a main feature about him like other DVDs, or simply be him talking about each feud leading into matches like the Flair DVD?

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 On other DVD related notes, the Foley DVD is not listed on the insert that's included on the No Mercy 2003 DVD, which supposedly lists all future releases till June 2004. Foley's DVD comes out on January 20th 2004 (according to Amazon.com, you can pre-order it already with 30% off) but on the insert there's another Rock DVD (The Rock's Greatest Hits) on that same date, which strangely is not listed yet for pre-order on Amazon.com. Also missing from the DVD release schedule is No Way Out 2004. And both Best of Confidential vol.2 and Rise & Fall of WCW are listed for early February, and also not available for pre-order anywhere yet. Any news regarding these releases? When you call the regular line, it's automated and you just punch in the extension. The voicemail belongs to a "Roger Bersen", and you just leave a message saying you bought the flair dvd and would like to replace the cover and leave your information on it. I know this was up on 1wrestling, but it's not there anymore. I believe WWE is probably going to put it up on the shopzone page because they got flooded with calls the day this went up on 1wrestling.
