EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 (edited) Remember the classic Lampoons Christmas Vacation movie with Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, and Randy Quaid? Well they made a made for TV sequel that will be on NBC tomorrow. From the TV preview: Randy Quaid reprises his fim series role as Cousin Eddie in this 2003 made for TV sequel in which he and his family are shipwrecked during a South Seas Christmas vacation. Without Chase or D'Angelo this is gong to suck real bad. Hey want can I say I loved the vacation movies. Edited December 20, 2003 by EdwardKnoxII

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 Any film starring FRENCH STEWART deserves its place in oblivion. That INCLUDES Inspector Gadget 2! AND 1~!
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 And you know what's really fucked up? In Home Alone 4 French Stewart played the part of Marv Merchants. You know the part made famous by Daniel Stern. From Daniel Stern to French Steward if that's not a BIG drop in quality I don't know what is.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 *inner monologue* Did he really say that? Daniel Stern was GONE. I didn't know it at the time, but my life was errevocably changed from that moment on. Had I known my comment about French Stewart would lead to THIS, THIS knowledge, I wouldn't have said it in the first place. I could see Winnie looking at me as if to say "what are you looking at", and I didn't know... *The Byrds Play* "To everything, turn, turn, turn..."
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 http://www.wowt.com/entertainment/headline...nes/509732.html NBC'S 'NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION 2' PREMIERES 7PM SATURDAY! Starring Randy Quaid in his memorable film role NBC Entertainment BURBANK, Cailf. -- November 17, 2003 -- NBC's will premiere its fun-filled family holiday adventure -- "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure" on Saturday, Dec. 20 (7-9PM CT). The new movie stars Oscar and Emmy nominee Randy Quaid ("Independence Day"), who reprises his memorable role from the popular "National Lampoon Vacation" film series as Cousin Eddie. Matty Simmons, who produced "National Lampoon's Animal House" and the "National Lampoon Vacation" films, is the writer and executive producer. Nick Marck ("Malcolm in the Middle," "Gilmore Girls") directs. Quaid is joined by Miriam Flynn, who played his wife, Catherine, in the previous "Vacation" films. The movie also stars Dana Barron ("National Lampoon's Vacation"), Jake Thomas ("Lizzie McGuire," "Artificial Intelligence: AI"), Fred Willard ("A Mighty Wind," "Everybody Loves Raymond") and multiple Emmy Award winner Ed Asner ("Lou Grant," "Mary Tyler Moore"). In addition, Eric Idle of classic "Monty Python" fame makes a special cameo appearance, reprising his role from "National Lampoon's European Vacation" as a put-upon English tourist. The movie also stars Beverly Garland ("Port Charles"), Julian Stone ("General Hospital") and Sung Hi Lee ("Nurse Betty"). After the affable Eddie is bitten by a monkey ? his lab-mate at a nuclear-research testing facility ? his boss (Willard) tries to ward off a potential lawsuit by offering Eddie and his family an all-expense paid trip to the South Pacific for the Christmas holiday. Thrilled at the prospect of escaping chilly Chicago and finally going on a real vacation, Eddie and Catherine (Flynn) are joined by their brainy son Third (Thomas), their cousin, Audrey (Barron), a voluptuous tour guide (Hi Lee) and Eddie's crusty Uncle Nick (Asner), whose wife (Garland) has just left him for the Christmas tree delivery man. But Eddie can't seem to go anywhere without causing chaos, and their dream vacation quickly turns into a tropical nightmare when the family gets shipwrecked on a South Sea island. While the hilariously inept Eddie tries valiantly to fulfill his wife's wish to just have food and shelter for Christmas, the rest of the family tries to survive the elements ? and each other ? while keeping up their yuletide spirits. Just when there's hope of a rescue by wealthy Australian businessman (Stone), Eddie unintentionally sabotages the rescue efforts. Then the fate of his family is in his bungling hands as his tries to return them safely to civilization from a Christmas vacation they'll never forget. Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 Am I the only one who thinks the original is insanely overrated? It has its moments, but I didn't see what the big fuss was all about and I liked the first Vacation movie, so it's not like I don't care for the humor it brings to the table. Technically Christmas Vacation was a stand alone in a ways as they changed alot. original vacation, European Vacation and Vegas Vacation were sequels to each other, they all aged accordingly in those movies where-as Christmas Vacation not only split the two kids ages much further apart but made the daughter the older one. Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2003 After double checking, I noticed it strange that: 1. They brought back the original Aubrey, who is now 35 (albeit not bad looking at all) and thus throws the timeline and continuity into a black hole, and 2. Quaid only has one son (a 13 y/o) in this movie, different from the two kids he had in CV and different from however many he had in the original. I'd like to see that family tree... Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted December 20, 2003 Then we can only hope Fox is working on a third one "Daddy says I'm the best one at giving oral sex." You screwed the line up. And I'm a Chevy Chase fanboy, but I think a movie based around Cousin Eddie has possibilities of being hilarious. Christmas in Eddie's hands? I can settle without having any Chevy. He goes around bragging to everyone that people tell him that he, "looks like one of the Quaid brothers". ...guess which one. This movie will be unintentionally hilarious. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2003 Fred Willard's not going alone in trying to carry this piece of shit, gotta remember Eric Idle in my opinion the funniest cast member of Monty Python. Eric Idle is a lot like John Cleese, except for Idle whored himself out to all the shit movies and John Cleese has whored himself out to mostly( Can't forget Pluto Nash or Yellowbeard) relatively decent box office hits.
