Without Jim Carrey in it....

From Jim Carrey Online:

We now have official word that "Ace Ventura 3: Return of the Pet Detective" is being made without Jim Carrey attached.

From comingsoon.net:

Among the projects Morgan Creek currently has in development are: Flying Tigers, being written by Academy Award winner David Ward (The Sting), Ace Ventura: Return of the Pet Detective, Man Alive, being written by Larry Cohen (Phone Booth), Babeus Americanus, a teen comedy being written by Gustin Nash, Twilight at Mac's Place, based on the novel by Ross Thomas, and a series of films based on Lawrence Sanders' "O'Malley" novels.

Well I didn't like the first sequel with Carrey, odds are I'd hate this even worse.

have there been sequils to Jim Carrey movies without Jim Carrey before?

When Hary Met Loyd and The Mask II.

Since Carey gained a bit of power in Hollywood, I believe he has said that he'll "never" do a sequel to one of his movies.

Oh yeah, I forgot something. Yada yada yada, this movie will suck, yada yada yada, fuck _______, yada yada yada, Hollywood is running out of ideas, yada yada yada.

theres supposed to be a sequel..I dont know the exact status though

Yes there is a sequel coming out, the trailer was attacted to RotK, and you can watch it online. It comes out sometime in mid-2004 I believe.

As for Harry Meets Loyd...prequel, sequel, whatever.

Carey said the reason he did Ace Ventura 2 was because he was under contract to do it. Carey said wouldn't have done it otherwise.

No wonder it sucked.

Since we're on sequels/prequels crap, was there any movie series that Steve Speilberg did the original and all the sequels? I'm thinking Indiana Jones but I'm not sure...otherwise, none at all I don't think.

Are we talking as a director or a producer or what? As a director only he did all three Indiana Jones and two of the Jurassic Parks. He produced the third. He also produced both Gremlins, the Back to the Future series, both American Tales movies, and both Men in Black flicks.

I do. during the "coming attractions" for Return of the King it previewed in the theater I was in. You want to know what it's about?

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

It's "The Mask" with a baby. During the preview he jumped around and winked to the camera.

And yes, I'm being serious.

The entire theater groaned when they realized what it was. probably the only bad part of seeing ROTK.

How much you want to bet this stinker stars either French Stewart or Jamie Kennedy?

Also, after seeing the trailer for THE MASK 2......just kill me before I see another bad sequel to a movie I liked.

I yelled "GAY" after the preview and got plenty of laughs.
