razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 Was there anybody funny on the show other than Will Sasso doing Kenny Rogers and Austin? I did not like the guy who did that retard overgrown kid or any characters by Mo whats her name.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 No...no there isn't. I've seen three mildly funny Mad TV skits in my lifetime and two of them involved Will Sasso.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 All I can think of is Will Sasso as Kenny Rogers, Austin, Gov. Arnold. Can anybody think of any good recurring characters that was not done by the orginal cast?
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 Nothing will ever touch "My White Momma." They only did 2 of those but they were great. Kenny Rogers Jackass is so dumb it's funny...everything seems to end with baseball bat beatings. The problem is that their recurring characters are ass and they still use them every show. I've never laughed at a Ms. Swan bit.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 The only thing funny about Mad Tv is the music video parodies and the claymation that they used to do. Damn the Lady Marlade parody made me laugh.
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted January 1, 2004 I haven't watched MAD TV on a regular basis since the first season. Today I'm watching the Comedy Central marathon and the 1999-2002 stuff is just BRUTAL. During the first season they did an animated skit called "Dennis The Menace To Society" that I remember really well.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 1, 2004 The original cast was pretty good. I recommend the animated skit Raging Rudolph and That's My White Momma.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 I used to watch the show when Artie Lange and Orlando Jones were on. I seem to remember enjoying it, but I was young and stupid, so I don't know how good it actually was. I don't really remember much about the show at all. I've enjoyed a lot of Orlando Jones's movie work and I liked Artie in his stuff with Norm MacDonald, so I'd assume some of the stuff they put together back then was good. razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 I think your confusing Norm with Micheal MacDonald.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 No, I was just saying I was a fan of Artie on the Norm show and in Dirty Work also with Norm MacDonald, so I thought maybe he would've had some funny roles on MAD TV too. I know Norm wasn't on the show.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 I remember Dennis the Menace to Society. I laughed like hell. And the parody of Jay-Z's 'Hard Knock Life'.
Guest Skironox Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Michael McDonald as Stewart was gold and made me laugh every time, even if every skit was exactly the same. Theres just something about a 40 year old man in little bear tighties and kiddie makeup that strikes me as absurd. Lorraine was an extremely popular character at my high school. Basically you couldn't go 5 minutes walking around campus without hearing somebody do her cough thing. Nobody even came close to mimicking her but we all thought we were walking the real Lorraine walk.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 One thing I have noticed is that Michael MacDonald and Mo Collins seem to get alot of tv time.
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Kenny Rogers Jackass is so dumb it's funny...everything seems to end with baseball bat beatings. My friend had this on his computer and I never laughed so hard in my life. Especially the part when he tries to catch the bat with his teeth, I couldn't stop laughing. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Rodney Dangerfield's appearance was classic too: "You know what I like best in a woman? Me!!!"
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 The guy who does the John Madden, Andy Rooney, Kilborn fanclub characters has some talent.
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted January 2, 2004 What was the name of the band that played on a bunch of episodes during the first season? They had a weird name.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 The guy who does the John Madden, Andy Rooney, Kilborn fanclub characters has some talent. Frank Caliendo. I was laughing my ass off at the Craig Kilborn Fan Club. I hate that fucker, and haven't watched his show for years now. I love MadTV, moreso than the majority of SNL from the past ten years. Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 I remember them having a really good Limp Bizkit music video parody of "Rollin'" called "Posin'." I found that to be quite funny. However, a lot of the skits are just bad. They have good ones from time to time, though.
treble 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 The show's writing is terrible but there were/are actually some good cast members. A lot of the skits have good concepts but the writers are so bad that they just fall flat.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 I've never laughed at SNL skit. The only one I found funny was the one with Jesus and the lady and he's like "Stop praying for little stuff. Pray for the rice to not be sticky or something". I probably found it funny cause I was somewhere between 6-9.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 The Godfather parody with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was the best thing I've seen on Mad TV.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Corky & The Juice Pigs? Ah yes. That gay Eskimo song was a classic. I thought Phil Lamarr was underused on the show. Mind you, I only came to that conclusion after he was on an ep of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" (UK version in the US). That guy, Michael McDonald, is incredibly unfunny. Makes me want to throttle him...
Lando Griffin 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Frank Caliendo is awesome. His Jim Rome impression is gold. Plus Alex Borstein was on Family Guy, so she gets a free pass.

My friend had this on his computer and I never laughed so hard in my life. Especially the part when he tries to catch the bat with his teeth, I couldn't stop laughing. I laughed my balls off at that. I'd only seen one of those before, and yesterday durring the marathon I caught that one.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 All I can think of is Will Sasso as Kenny Rogers, Austin, Gov. Arnold. Don't forget Steven Seagal. Just gold right there. One of my favorite skits was the claymation parody of Cops. (With the pervent Paddington and the insane Pillsbury Dough Boy).
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Report post Posted January 3, 2004 One of my favorite ones when I was younger was when the Terminator went back in time to protect Jesus, I found that hilarious at the time.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I hate Mo Collins and Michael McDonald. If they ever spawn a child, that child will be the anti-christ of comedy.
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Corky & The Juice Pigs? That's them. Remember the Budweiser frog parodies they did first season? I was laughing my ass off when the frog put his tongue against the back of the truck and when the truck stopped he got killed.
