Some skaterboarder hits a guy in the head multiple times. Anybody know the story behind this if it was on the news somewhere? I heard the guy died afterward.

That was quite sick. Skaters are such fucking dicks these days. When I used to skate everyone was so friendly and mellow. Nowadays it seems as if they just go out of their way to piss people off. They all think they're on Jackass or they're Bam Margera or some shit.

That's from the Steve-O volume 2 DVD. I don't know why this has been all over the internet for the past month or so. The guy was some gangster they found and he just did all this stuff. He was being a dick, but if you listen while the warning on the screen is up the guy says something like "Fuck me up, Fuck me up", not that that gives the other guy the right to hit him with the skateboard. He hits him in the head with the trucks, that's probably the worst you can do.

 

Just to add, 2 of Steve-O's camera men were there and they turned over one copy of the tape to police. The guy got 3 years in jail for aggravated assault. The first poster saying that the guy died isnt right, there would have been a much more serious charge for that.

To say skaters are 'fucking dicks' as Random Hero says is a bit over the top. I have friends who think doing sick stunts like on Jackass is 'cool', but I've got just as many normal skater friends who just skate for fun. Not everyone who watches a Jackass, CKY or Steve-O show is going to start doing crazy shit like that.

 

Some do. Believe me...one of them gets a video camera, and there's trouble.

 

 

And yeah, that clip is pretty messed up. Why they put it on the DVD I don't know.

It's a pretty cool clip. Don't interpret that as saying that the guy is cool, or that it was cool that it happened, I mean in a Faces of Death way. But Satanico's right... could have been better. They really should make Faces of Death 2K4. Or Faces of Pain. And put that on it, but near the beginning.

All I meant was that compared to about 8 years ago, when skaters were just happy to skate. Nowadays, I always see them picking fights and deliberatley winding people up. Maybe it's just where I live.

Can you not comprehend what he's saying? He's not talking about fights in hockey, or football. He's saying that the amount of skaters picking fights has INCREASED than say, eight years ago.

The skateboarder needs to hit the gym and gain some muscle mass, for two reasons.

 

First, how do you hit someone in the head with your board three times - and kick them - and have them get up from it?

 

Second, a feeble prick like him is in for a lifetime of asskickings if he keeps on acting like that. I'd have loved to knocked him the fuck out for being a dick even before he hit that kid with the board.

 

And for Deon Dark's original question, there was a case where a kid died from getting hit in the head with a board, but it was a couple of friends fucking around, and the kid hit himself with one and said how tough he was, he wouldn't get hurt. So, he challenged his friend to smack him one, his friend did, and the kid ended up dying.
