Anybody seen any of these bands live? Any ideas what ill be seein? The show Im most looking forward to is NEIL FUCKING YOUNG with CrazyHorse on march2. Im pretty geeked for this one! Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 I've seen Soil live when they opened for the Merry Mayhem '01 tour. They're decent at best. Expect nothing but generic nu-metal. Staind is AWFUL live. AWFUL. Not only do they fucking suck on the album, but they're FIVE TIMES WORSE live. Aaron Lewis does nothing but hold his gut like he's about to spew and then he does...well, spews forth incessant whining about his dad never giving him a pony, or something. Perhaps it was a one off bad show, but he was not very well received by the reports that I heard. At any rate, I'm going to Bowie February 21st. Bowie > all others mentioned combined. As live performers they too don't seem to be as into it as those older groups. Part of that would be due to the fact that the older groups have better experience than those who are new, but I'd say it also has to do with the music is more important to their generation than to the generation of current artists. I'm also hoping that The Mars Volta opens for A Perfect Circle in Chicago on April 16th. That would rock ass. And I'll surely be seeing the Pixies if they tour. Dude, I was in the same boat, except I got there early enough to see their entire dreadful set. It was quite funny though, they performed some dreadful grunge-metal shit, then their amps stopped working for about 5 minutes. I was feeling happy about this development, until they bring out the dreaded ACOUSTIC guitars and give us half an hour of Staind unplugged. Needless to say they were the 2nd worst band I saw that weekend (after Linkin Park), but thankfully the Darkness rocked! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm a crack shot with a stray boot or clod of dirt or boot full of dirt. I came within literally a couple of feet from hitting ol' boy from the Deftones with one, but it bonked some defenseless teenager instead. Good times. Stupid PS2, not having a fast forward... Well, I know for certain that Dillinger Escape Plan is coming to the Sandy Eggo. Feb 23rd. I'm going to try like all hell to go. He went from folk to glam rock to new wave to electronica all the while staying at the top of the music industry. I'm not going to sell Neil Young short, Harvest is an incredibly good album. Of course, it's because the music itself is boring as shit (you can only play the same three notes so many times, fellas), and the guitarist has NO stage presence whatsoever. But yeah.
