Gary Floyd Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Dawn of The Dead-Unreleased Soundtrack Music. Sure, ya know about the score by Goblin, but this is music that was used in the film.
Corey_Lazarus Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 MC Lars - The Laptop EP Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News I sold out and bought the new Modest Mouse album because of how addicted I got to the two singles out there right now.

tekcop Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 This is my first black metal cd. I think I'm in love.
DCMaximo Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 "1965" by the Afghan Whigs-not sure how it if I prefer it or not to "Black Love" just yet, but does confirm my suspicions that Greg Dulli is some kind of musical god. "Frosting On The Beater" by the Posies-well worth the £4 it cost, "Flavor Of The Month" being worth the cost by itself "The Trees Are Dead And Dried Out Wait For Something Wild" by Sikth-growing on me at the moment, although the single "How May I Help You?" is still the highlight "Smoking Guns And White Doves" by the AKA's-a fantastic hybrid of Devo, Refused and the Clash which is still danceable as fuck
5_moves_of_doom Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Second My Bloody Valentine, most recent Mogwai, and first Tim Buckley. Yummmmmmmm.
5_moves_of_doom Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 No idea what this is. Help the naive.
5_moves_of_doom Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Slow, droney, kinda gothic. But good?
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Yeah. And when I said "gothic," I meant in the "let's dress up in black and wear eyeliner" kind of gothic.
Si82 Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 "Superunknown" - Soundgarden "This Album's Big Enough: Best Of" - Sparks "Out of Time" - R.E.M. "Bona Drag" - Morrissey
Anorak Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 "Frosting On The Beater" by the Posies-well worth the £4 it cost, "Flavor Of The Month" being worth the cost by itself That whole album is great from start to finish. I remember picking up Dear 23 for about £5 years and years ago for a Posies bargain of my own.
CanadianChick Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 "Sex, Love and Rock 'n Roll"-Social Distortion "Big Shiny Tunes 9"- Muchmusic compliation "Greatest Hits"-Guns 'N Roses

DCMaximo Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 "Frosting On The Beater" by the Posies-well worth the £4 it cost, "Flavor Of The Month" being worth the cost by itself That whole album is great from start to finish. I remember picking up Dear 23 for about £5 years and years ago for a Posies bargain of my own. The Posies are one of those bands I keep finding at bargain prices- my copy of "Amazing Disgrace" only cost me £3. Recent purchases while on holiday in Hungary: "The Big 3" by the 60ft Dolls- cost the equivalent of £2 and is far better than I was expecting, with "Pig Valentine" being a particular highlight "Aeromusical" by Superbus- cost less than £4, and was purely purchased due to the front cover. Musically, they seem perfectly acceptable, kind of a French No Doubt.

PLAGIARISM! Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 People are starting to buy Sparks compilations. It begins. I got a promo copy of the new Residents, Animal Lover, and holy shit it's fantastic. Starts out like most of their newer stuff, but turns into a genuinely moving collection of haunting ballads. And I also got the reissued Not Available, and I think it's one of their best. Also, Swell - ...WELL? Coil - Gold is the Metal Slint - Spiderland (yeah so I'm slow) Bauhaus - Press The Eject and Give Me the Tape All in the very good-to-good bracket. The Best of The Vapors is merely ok, as if it would ever ascend higher, and as for Teenage Fanclub's Grand Prix, well I'm sure it's OK but I'm going to have to find a time to listen to it when there's no one around to laugh at me for listening to stuff that sounds like it sucks.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Every couple of days I get the impression that, out of all of us, ArkhamGlobe has the CD collection with the lowest amount of questionable chaff.
