Wrestlers with the perfect theme music

Recommended Posts

Guest Deebo

Which wrestlers had/have the theme music that just absolutely fit them perfectly, and you couldn't ever imagine them coming down to the ring to anything else. For me it would be..

Ric Flair

Bret Hart

Shawn Michaels

New Age Outlaws

Goldberg (it didn't seem right when they changed his music in WCW, and it doesn't now)

I would say The Rock with the one that began "IF YA SMELL...WHAT THE ROCK...IS COOKIN!" I don't much like his current one. Cactus Jack's WWF theme just fits him like a glove for me, as did Dude Love's even if its the total wrong era. Another is Hurricane, as long as he keeps the gimmick

- Mr. Perfect. With such a lavish song, you just knew you were about to see one of the best wrestlers around.

- Stone Cold. Glass Breaks, Hell Breaks Loose. Need I say more?

- nWo. Yes, the porn music. Back then it was edgy and different, much like the group itself.

- Ric Flair. One of the greatest song ever, THE greatest wrestler ever. Nuff said.

Eddie Guerrero's WCW theme (Chavos current WWE theme)- Bad ass stuff, I have Eddie's current theme. He needs to bring back this one and his old really EVIL WCW persona. Cheat cuz you're an asshole not to be cute.

Ted DiBiase- The unmistakable luagh followed by the word money over and over. Simple yet effective.

Demolition- It's just cool.

Triple H- You don't have to like the man, but the music kicks.

Rick Rude WCW Theme- Best lyrics in a theme song ever. "His body's chissled, abs all in a row, you'd think he was scupltured by Michealangleo."

Hulk Hogan's "Eye of the Tiger" or "Real American" were both perfect fits.

Superstar Billy Grahams music also fit him to a T.

Rick Rude's WWF Music as well his WCW music (the one without the words).

And I can't believe that nobody mentioned the Road Warriors "Iron Man" theme.

Hulkamania might not have become as large as it did if Hogan didn't literally have THE perfect theme song. When it came to bringing the crowd out of their seats , the first four chords of "Real American" did it even greater than Austin's glass breaking.

The Road Warriors had the perfect theme music too when they would come out to "Iron Man". Before they went with the red shoulder pads, there was nothing more ominous in wrestling than Hawk and Animal walking through the smoke with metal spiked-shoulder pads to the warping notes of Ironman. It was almost apocolyptic.

The Midnight Express had some awesome music too. Both versions. It made absolutely no sense as it was a soundtrack single to a mediocre movie, but that music blairing as Jim Cornette swung his racket over his head was just awesome.

I really dug The Great Muta's theme circa 1989 too.

austin, if only for the glass breaking. it's always great strategy to start babyface music with something striking & easily recognizable, it's totally pavlovian, but they found THE perfect sound for it in austin's music. about as striking as you can get without being over-the-top, & nicely sums up the characters.

and undertaker's early music.

Bret Hart's Second WWF Theme. The one with "The Whine" at the beginning.

"Enter Sandman" for The Sandman back in ECW. Even if his entrance took 20 minutes.

Lesnar's current theme...especially since it plays off Bret Hart's theme with his own opening chord.

Kurt Angle's theme. (though...I WOULD like him to use the Rocky Movie theme sometime for fun)

"Whatever" for Benoit.

The Four Horsemen theme with the galloping at the beginning.

Sting's Crow theme. Sends a chill down the spine.

...I kinda like "Your Gonna Pay" for Biker Undertaker.

And I'll think of more later.

I loved Chris Benoit's music when he re-joined WCW in 1995, just awesome for his character.
