1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 I disagree completely. The Blues and Madagascar and Chinese Democracy were all good. In fact, The Blues is one of my favorite tracks. I would just like to remind you that I pointed you in the direction of "The Blues" on my own message board a couple of years ago. Your welcome
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted January 26, 2004 I'm still a bit confused about how people are getting excited for the new GnR tracks via live tracks. Axl can't sing at all live anymore, unless I've managed to stumble upon the absolute worst possible version of Madagascar ever. He just sounds horrible and can't hold a note worth a damn. You probably heard a rip from the Rock In Rio III bootleg. There are soundboards available from the 2002 tour that are EXCELLENT quality.
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Dre's album has me interested. The Chronic and 2001 were both pretty good, so I couldn't see how Dre would mess this up. Just about everything he puts his hands on does well.

Guest mesepher Report post Posted January 26, 2004 anyone else get a kick out of the first line: "we ask the pros... " ??? anyways, its nice to see a new Robert Smith album coming out... should be interesting, especially if its in the same vein as Bloodflowers. Of course, the last we heard from Smith was his collaboration with Blink 182. Guns N Roses has potential and I believe that. Buckethead is no slouch, it'll be a good cd. Of course, the last we heard from Smith was his collaboration with Blink 182. His Blink 182 collaboration actually isn't too bad. Really, I'm excited as all hell for the new Cure CD and for the new Nine Inch Nails. Those should both be incredibly good CDs...Reznor has proven repeatedly that he's an excellent producer, and his style of writing will fit in with the current music trends. I still maintain that if you put "Something I Could Never Have" to an acoustic guitar, you've got an emo song.

moral suasion 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 The most tragic omission is the new Bad Religion due in March. This album will be the followup to to agruably thier best album, 2002s The Process of Belief. They had some hits on MTV during the 90s and punk is currently trendy so it surprises me that they did not make the list.

Just about everything he puts his hands on does well. What about "The Aftermath"? Crap, crap, crap. Eminem really resurrected that guy's career. That was when Dre was trying to get out of the "gansta" rap. Plus the fact he only rapped on 2 of the tracks.
Dr. Zoidberg 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 Ah man, I can't wait for the new Cure album. Hopefully, it'll be like Bloodflowers or Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. and a new Interpol album would be swank. That and a new Le Tigre or Dirtbombs would make me drive to my local Wherehouse. When did they say the new CKY would be out?
Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted February 2, 2004 Stuff already discussed: The Roots - Should be great as usual. Rahzel also has a solo record early in the year. NIN - The core albums have been great. Apparently he's be working with Rick Rubin and the stuff is more stripped down. Should be interesitng. G'N'R' - Not. Bloody. Likely. Stuff Not: Skillz - May finally get a real cd released this year. Slipknot - Fuck it, I'm excited. Dredg - Rumors circulating about a late 2004 release. My fav band tryign to follow up my fav cd. Deftones/Team Sleep - Theoretically both should be out this year. Wu-Tang Clan - With ODB out of jail, the boys may finally be able to put out a new, real Wu Tang record. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 A few efforts remain forever in the "Will it ever happen?" category: Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy, for example. Word is the nearly-decade-in-the-making album will definitely come out in 2004. Definitely. Hold me.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 New Nine Inch Nails? I'm there. Never been disappointed with any NIN work. Now a new Tool CD will come in handy, and I'll be fine New Tool? I'd love it, but shit, what I really want is for Trent to get off his lazy ass and get together with Maynard and FINALLY give us the Tapeworm album that's been on-again / off-again for the last several YEARS. I'm down with a new NIN album, though. Same with Cure. And I like Evanescence, but I don't really know how well they'll do without Ben. Anyone know why he left? Anyone really care?
