JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2004 Does anyone else think they're going to do some angle tonight so Cena enters the Rumble #2, so he and Benoit start together? Maybe it's already been discussed, but I don't get why in the storyline Heyman would make Benoit start at #1 but then not do anything to Cena. I, personally, think they are teasing Benoit with the #1 spot and ignoring Cena *just* so that Cena's win will be a lot more 'unpredictable' - bait-and-switch, if you will. This would enforce that, plus since Benoit and Cena have been buddy-buddy, them working together makes sense and them working against each other means more (it also ties back to their #1 contenders match). That implies to me that it's not enough to simply assign someone a number on a whim. Cena at #2 could happen...although, I'd have thought they'd put him in the middle of the Rumble, so he can do his rap whilst everyone's brawling like he did last year. I'd suspect A-Train would be #2 personally. A-Train and Benoit have history after all. And he's still looking to repay Heyman's faith in him. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Adam 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Im pretty sure it won't be someone huge, but it will be someone that can go and have a good match with Benoit. Somoen like Shelton Benjamin wouldn't surprise me. Although, they may go the '95 route and have Benoit and Jericho/Cena/Angle be the first two men in the ring and the last two men in the ring, which I would enjoy as well.
