razazteca Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Dossun Ganseki Battle (SNES) is now my favorite column clone puzzle game.
TheFranchise Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Mario Kart for the GC. For example - if anyone has it, try Baby Park on time trial... i hit a lap in under EIGHT seconds.
CanadianChris Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Metroid for NES and Yoshi's Island for SNES. I lost count of the number of times I beat Metroid.
Guest The Ohtani of Time Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Mario Kart for the GC. For example - if anyone has it, try Baby Park on time trial... i hit a lap in under EIGHT seconds. HOLY SHIT!!! 8 seconds!!, I thought I was doing well to get under 10 seconds.
Guest The Ohtani of Time Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Um....8 is under 10 Pardon me, I should have made my self more clear, thanks so much for pointing that out to me, I really appreciate it, I completely forgot that 8 is under 10. What I meant to say was "HOLY SHIT!!! 8 seconds!!, I thought I was doing well to get JUST under 10 seconds.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Any NBA, NHL, MLB video games. If I had to guess, I think I've lost maybe one time out of the hundreds/thousands I've played. LoZ: A link To The Past I have beaten about 20 times, and practically know where everything is and beat the bosses w/o much trouble.
NoCalMike Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 American Gladiators on NES, I was king. Orphen for PS2(yeah I know the game was not that good) I used to be the master at Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but it has been so long.
caboose Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 I am the Unofficial British Tony Hawk's 2 Champion.
Henry Spencer Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 When I'm playing Super Smash Brothers as Luigi, I cannot be beaten. It's a proven scientific fact.
Guest Fook Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 When I'm playing Super Smash Brothers as Luigi, I cannot be beaten. It's a proven scientific fact. Me too. I can beat a team of three level 9 computers with Luigi. I am unstoppable.

Guest wildpegasus Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 I take a little bit of pride in knowing that I've beaten a lot of the most difficult games out there but if I don't know if that counts or not. Super Punchout -- I had some of the records beaten in Nintendo Power Super Smash TV -- I can beat it by myself -- get in the pleasure dome and beat it the 2nd time through on turbo mode after getting all the secret items Resident Evil remake on Gamecube/Resident Evil II -- Did everything there was to do in very good time Ninja Gaiden -- I believe I can beat this with the least possable deaths Ninja Gaiden III -- Can beat it only dying once which is necessary because your time runs out on a certain level. Battletoads NES -- When I'm not rusty, I'm pretty good at this. Awesome, awesome game. Pretty good at the Contra series in general. I love the challenge. Yar's Revenge Super Mario Brothers 3 -- I had this one down pretty pat. Some RPGs I'm pretty good at because I tend to go through with low HP for extra challenge.

Dont worry mate, sometimes i play for hours after work when i'm bored, try using the two mushrooms on any lap besides 1, use them on both straights (obviously) and make sure you hit the corners absolutely dead on using L and R, it takes a while.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I OWN the Tony Hawk games! No, I don't actually own the games, I'm just very good at them. But those games are awesome, especially Underground, where you have a cool new story mode and KISS! Edit: Well, actually, in Smackdown 5, I do pretty well in Royal Rumble with Vince McMahon. I eliminated at least 5 guys by just kicking and punching. The Rock had to eliminate me, which then made him the winner.

Please explain to me the appeal of the Tony Hawk games. Is it because of the skateboarding appeal? Is it possable for someone who's had a disdain for skateboarding his whole life to like these games? I just don't understand the appeal of skateboarding never mind the appeal of wanting to do skateboarding tricks on a video game screen. I don't mean to diss Tony Hawk fans here but what's the point? Am I just missing something? Basically what I'm saying is this: Sell me on this game
Youth N Asia Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Trust me...pick up Tony Hawk 2 and you'll be hooked. It's too easy to build up your stats, but it's fun between 2 or more players to one up each other on scores. I'm not into skating, but I like the games.
The Metal Maniac Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I don't like actual skateboarding either, but I love the Tony Hawk series. I've got 1-4 on the PS, and THUG. I dunno why I like 'em so much. I think it's partly because I enjoy watching the characters pull off sweet tricks and lines, and partly because it's a fairly simplistic game that takes about 30 seconds to learn how to play, but much more time to get really good at. YNA has a point though...just go rent one of the games and try it out. 2 probably is a good start, because it has the best non-Eddie secret character of all, and there's less stuff in it. What I mean is, each game seems to add a new element or trick. Like, in 2 they put in manuals, in 3 they put in reverts, that kinda thing. So if you start with, say, THUG, you not only have to learn how to do all the basic elements of the game, but then you've got to learn about walking, reverting, manual-ing like a mofo, and all that other jazz. I'd say go rent 2, fuck around with it for a while, and if it seems fun, go rent some more.
Slickster Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I'm unbeatable at Streets of Rage 1+2 and WCW/nWo Revenge.
Ripper Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 NBA LIVE 95 on Genisis. I have beaten the game on the hardest level ONLY taking half court shots. I never lost to ANYONE. Every Live game after that, it was a fair battle, but in that game...flawless. And I am starting to think I am incredible in Madden 2003. I score 100+ points on All madden level everytime and you literally CAN'T throw to the left side because I can pick it off every time(My Corner back on that side had a 14 interception, 31 tackle game...my best...but still pretty damn incredible). When I learn to do that on the right side, I will be unbeatable.

chaosrage Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Well no one can ever come close to beating me in Dr. Mario. I don't know why. I've never even played it that much. I just finished all of f-zero GX on master and did all the story modes on very hard. Does that count? Fucking insanely hard. Play that if you want a game that would do NES proud.

The best I can do is about 80-ish pts. in 5 minute Q's. NBA Live games though I just slaughter. In one game I outscored the Grizzlies (as the Knicks) 141-32 in 8 minute Q's. The first Q score was 38-3 LOL Thats with all rules and violations intact. Shooting 1/20 is REALLY bad.
Lightning Flik Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Give me an RPG and I get most of the way through it in, oh, 20 hours no breaks. Give me 30 and I'm most likely at the final boss. That's about the best thing I've got. I'm an RPGuru.

Damn it...final boss is impossible to beat.
The Amazing Rando Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Streets of Rage 2 - I rule as the little skater punk Twisted Metal 2 - always know where to hide Cool Boarders 3 - I can hit 75K in the longer half-pipes...which is INSANE because when I first started I couldn't get 20K with two runs. QB Club 96 (SNES) - Me and my friend's ultimate game - as the Dolphins we can run through a season with 2 minute quarters and score over 100 points a game.

TheFranchise Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 After my revelatoin about Mario Kart earlier, on Baby Park (the only one i practise one) When you get to about 1 minute 15 seconds, you get the Mario and Luigi babies on the track as well as you (and maybe a ghost if you're using one) Well, i'd just like to say i BEAT the two Babies on this track, with a record of 1.09.35 I would dare ANYBODY to better that.
