As previously reported, "Hangover Music Vol. VI" is mostly acoustic- and piano-based, much like Zakk's 1996 solo album "Book Of Shadows". Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS, OZZY OSBOURNE), James Lomenzo (PRIDE & GLORY, WHITE LION), and J.D. all share bass duties on the album and Brian Tichy (OZZY OSBOURNE, BILLY IDOL) and John Tempesta (ROB ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) both make guest appearances on drums. The tentative release date for the album is April 20 through Spitfire Records.

While he's got some great musicians playin on his album, and track number 3 called Layne, is probably going to be a Layne Staley tribute song (which will be cool).

Can't wait for more BLS Material, and neither could Corey and a few others (minus AoO)

Sweet. I just discovered the greatness of BLS a few monthes back. The Blessed Hellride was the best CD purchase I have probably ever made. Can't wait for this one to come out.

Indeed its a great CD. I first picked up 1919 Eternal, and thought that was a great album.

I get this album, and I'm like wow...what can't Zakk do.

13. A Whiter Shade of Pale (PROCOL HARUM cover)

That should be interesting. I have the 2 disc Alchohol Fueled Brewtality Live + 5 where BLS covers Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" and Sabbath's "Snowblind." I thought both were well-done, so the Procol cover should be no different.

I dunno. I love BLS and all, but I love them more for the fact that Zakk can write nice and catchy riffs while being deadly with his solo's. BLS doesn't strike me as an acoustic band (even if the acoustic songs were the best tunes off of the first two BLS releases)*. I'll pick it up, naturally, but I'm hoping that at least some of them are electric and heavy.

*= Sonic Brew's "Another Spoke In The Wheel" is quite a good song, and Stronger Than Death's "Just Killing Time" is so beautifully depressing.
