I did enjoy Wild Things - it wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but enjoyable nevertheless.

On a similar film note, I enjoyed Cruel Intentions - and a flop sequel was made from it. Did anyone see it?

The Internet Movie Database - 'Cruel Intentions 2: Manchester Prep'.

It pretty much sucked, obviously possessing the superiority of it's predecessor.

It didn't have a bad lesbian scene in it, however.

Back on topic, I don't think that we'll be seeing Neve Campbell any time soon.

I actually liked Cruel Intentions 2. I think that it was the unintentional commedy that only a bad movie that is trying to be serious can provide. Plus the lesbian stuff.

What has Neve Campbell been doing lately?...

Here's her last 5 movies.

Private War, A (2004) (pre-production)

When Will I Be Loved? (2004) (post-production)

Churchill: The Hollywood Years (2004) (post-production)

Blind Horizon (2004) .... Chloe Richards

Company, The (2003) .... Loretta 'Ry' Ryan

Similar to "Cruel Intentions 2" and "Bring it on again", this is one of those sequels they make to make DVD sales and nothing more.

Actually CI 2 was supposed to be a pilot for a CI ongoing series but got canned and re-editted at the last minute into a direct to video release when some parents groups learned of the horse masterbation scene in CI2 and threatened to raise hell with Fox...

Why is it that you visit the IMDb and look up an actor/actress, and see all of what look like these box-office smash flicks, and hear nothing from it again?

That's a half-rhetorical question, by the way. But feel free to answer it.

Supposedly The Company is a really good film (Campbell is trained in ballet and was a producer for the film). It's supposed to be sort of a behind-the-scenes documentary about a ballet company. Lots of backstage drama and such.

Hmmm, now where have I heard about "backstage drama and such" recently? ;)

As the resident direct-to-video guru (I write Your Video Store Shelf over at 411), I have to correct you. After the success of Cruel Intentions, Fox decided to make a prequel in the form of a television show calling it Manchester Prep. Unfortunately, they decided to schedule it for 8:00 and in its preview, show a (clothed) girl orgasming while on top of a horse. Someone at Fox got a peek at it, and before you knew it, it was quickly eliminated from the fall schedule before it even aired, with three episodes in the can.

They essentially formed a movie out of those three episodes, likely filming some new material, but mostly sticking to what was already done.

I've yet to see Wild Things 2, as Columbia Tristar won't get me product for a couple more weeks, but I'm sort of looking forward to it.

Better than Universal, who has spawned both The Skulls 3 and Bring it on Again in recent months.
