Fökai 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 But they both just did the same move and HBK already had gone blade crazy (I don't remember if HHH was bleeding yet, but HBK had the bigger job), so you'd assume they are close enough to the same. 1. HHH was hurting. 2. HHH couldn't do what he had PLANNED to do because of his ribs and back. 3. HBK joined in, on the grounds that he sees an opportunity to put one of his foes out of commission for the time being with little to no consequence, unlike a moonsault or spot onto a table. Where's the "logic gap" in HBK being in better shape at that point?

I'd have to say the match to rate it. It wouldn't have happend period if logic is right. Steamboat retired in 1994 wrestling in WCW. Daniels has been a pro I think 8 years, so he didn't show up until 1996. Maybe 1995 the earliest I don't know. Wow....not too familiar with the word 'hypothetical' eh? If it was POSSIBLE TO EVEN HAPPEN I wouldn't complain. Say You threw...um...American Dragon, Christopher Daniels and Kenta Kobashi in the match. THEN I will say "OK thats a good example". Guest Jimbo Report post Posted March 16, 2004 *rolls eyes* The 3 way was good, but not that good. I mean really, *****? I don't know how one call Tawren a "jaded fan" when if Benoit hadn't won, none of you would have given it a 5*, must less 4* rating. THis has nothing to do with HHH finally tapping and in fact, I applaud HHH for doing so, and I still don't think it was any overly spectacular. This is silly Benoit super-fan boy arguing. The match was good, but by no means anything that would set the world on fire as some are making it out to be. Uh...a match is better when the right guy goes over... Better = More stars. yes, but just because Benoit won, a decent match now becomes a ***** match of pure Godliness? That's crap. It was more than decent... I question the mindset of anyone giving it anything less than 3 1/2 stars... Definitly a solid ***1/2* - **** match. The drama, crowd, heat, spots, blood, general perfection, and right guy going over made it a 5* match, imo. Giving it too much less is just trying to hard t bitch/whine about something/anything. If you couldnt appreciate that match...dont watch, nothing will entertain you. Grab a Best of Jumbo Tsuruta tape or whatever gets your rocks off and please bitch elsewhere. ...and that's what I would give it. ...but 84 gazillion stars is a wee bit much. Believe me, the match entertained me greatly...but saying this match was the one of greatest things ever just doesn't sit well.

Guest Brian Report post Posted March 16, 2004 Like I said, HBK had always seen Benoit as the obstacle, not as his opponent. That's why he jumped at the opportunity, even if it means working with his nemesis.

Your still holding onto **1/2. Did you watch the ppv? If so and with your continued attempts to explain your rating, its clear that you just need to bitch about something. I have explained several times why I considered it **1/2. I didn't like the match, I explained why, I have been personally attacked several times, I stick with my ratings. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 16, 2004 On a somewhat Keith related note, does anyone have the link to his blog and/or his Flair DVD review? I think Dames only was able to do the first two discs, and I'd like to see a review on the third.

Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 Snuffbox, you're really embarrassing yourself. Honestly, I just have a headache reading your posts. I thought the match was a very good 3-way, probably in the ***1/2 range. Maybe *you* should go watch a Best of Jumbo Tsuruta tape, and come back with a clue. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 To those who didn't think the Triple Threat was ***** what fault was there? All the moves were executed perfectly, there was serious drama and the fans were into it, Michael's bladejob was tremendous, HHH tapped clean. There was nothing faulting it from being a perfect match. Cept for, you know, better matches. I could name a dozen.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted March 16, 2004 and the fans were into it I disagree. There was a frightening lack of heat for some of the Michaels-HHH exchanges.

Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted March 16, 2004 If Benoit had lost, nobody would be pimping it. Fact. Yup, I'll admit it. Benoit winning the match amde me like it *THat* much more. I think this petty arguing over star ratings i sad, i mean, it is subjective and all. Coherant comparasions vetween views is good, but when you start throwing in the whole "well, thats cause it ain't puro bitch" shit in, it kinda devalues you're opinon. But yeah, I like the 3_way alot, the smackdown title was fun, the evolution/rocknsock was okay, I didn't like it as much as Skeith but the Rock/Flair parts were GOLD and makes me want a Flair/ Rock fued. The crusierweight open was pitiful, sad, and pathetic. Serously, they had a chance to showcase all that talent, on a show thats 5 fucking hours, and they give htem 10 minutes. On the plus side, Jamie Noble did come off pretty badass, too bad it won't go anywheres. Oh line of the night from my dad: *Kidman does the SSP to the outside, and bangs heads with Nunzio* "Wow, thay guy can't do that too good can he." My dad never watches wrestling, but he noticed that. Oh and he now uses cena's "You Can't See Me". Picture a 40 year old, ex-Lt. Colonel walking around going "You Can't See Me" in the most dry and emotionless voice ever. High-larious
