Guest Skironox Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Um? Booker T and the Dudleyz being on Smackdown makes me happy. Smackdown is in a dearth of respectable tag teams, the Dudleys fill that void a bit, despite their staleness. Booker T has had no future on RAW for over a year. No Triple H? Well, when he was "traded" last night, I saw nothing but bad things ahead, nearly making Smackdown the unwatchable show. This has been averted, leaving H to run amok on his chosen show and his World Title. It's a lose situation either way, but the damage has been controlled. Angle as GM is out of left field, but I presume this means he's out of the ring for a while, which I think is a good thing. Still, I'm disappointed and relieved at the same time. I thought for sure Stephy was coming back, so that's a load off my back. But I think Teddy Long would have been great in the GM role. All in all, I have more positive vibes coming from this than bad ones.
NYU 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 My only issue with Booker T being traded is that I HOPE they don't continue to give us this team of Booker T/RVD that absolutely nobody wants to see. Keep them as singles wrestlers. Turn one of them heel. Let them feud for a month. Then, go on. But I could just see them having a four month long feud with the Dudleys. I wasn't sure if it was possible, but I now dislike this lottery even more.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 So Eddy & Cena & Angle are safe from HHH. And the danger is now back upon Benoit & Edge. Well there is absolutely no upswing to this now is there.
DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Three face teams on SD! and no heels. Odd. The Basham Brothers, Akio & Sakoda, Nunzio & Stamboli... I forgot about Yakuza, maybe because they never seem to team anymore. Nunzio competes in the cruiser division. Maybe they'll reunite Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak. The hits just keep on coming Better than Cade/Jindrak. At least O'Haire has a unique look other than the "Heatless Vanilla Wonders" that plague Heat. Let's also remember that Jindrak and O'Haire have more experince toghether at a team.

Well there is absolutely no upswing to this now is there. For about 10 minutes I was dancing around celebrating Benoit was safe. How wrong I was. So terribly, terribly wrong. JN News 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 You know, this just goes to prove to us that HHH & Stephanie are the ones running the company, and not Vince. HHH has his father in law right by the balls.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Trading Chuck to Raw is utterly pointless. I'm guessing they turn the Dudz heel, but breaking up an established heel team (FBI) for no apparent reason doesn't make sense, esp. if they intend on focusing on the tag scene (which, by putting the Dudz there, I'm assuming they are doing). Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Heh...They even sent the OTHER Dudley over there as well...Sending Chuck and Tajiri was really dumb... We get screwed out of our Dudz/FBI and Dudz/Japan Trio six mans now!
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 24, 2004 (edited) Tajiri HAD to go to Raw. Spike was going to Smackdown, and Raw needed a jobber. Or something. Edited March 24, 2004 by Anglesault

JN News 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 I just knew that HHH would find some way to screw both Edge & Benoit. Edge is toally FUCKED at Backlash. He is fucked!
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 24, 2004 HHH is worth Booker T & Dudley Boyz, but A-Train is only worth Rico & Jackie. Thats just sad on so many levels...OK just one, but it sounds more important.
Guest CronoT Report post Posted March 24, 2004 So, the score card is something like this: RVD and Booker T got away from HHH: Plus 2 points Spike Dudley is gone from RAW: Plus 1 point The Dudley Boyz are gone from RAW: Minus 2 points Eddy Guerrero is safe from HHH: Plus 5 points Benoit will most likely become HHH's bitch: Minus 4 points Tajiri is now on RAW: No points added or deducted Shelton Benjamin is now on RAW: Plus 2 points Rene Dupree is gone from RAW: Plus 3 points Mark Jindrak is now on SD!: No points added or deducted Chuck Palumbo is now on RAW: Minus 1 point Edge is now on RAW: Plus 5 points Triple H is still on RAW: Minus 10 points When we add it all up, we get.... 1 point. What is that one point? Eddy is safe from Mrs. McBitch Helmsley and her Lameass, no good husband.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 24, 2004 I guess HHH isn't even going to be ON the Backlash PPV... Smart anyways...go with a 5 Match Card WWE Title: Benoit/HBK Street Fight/Falls Count Anywhere: Orton Vs Foley Steel Cage Match Chris Jericho Vs Christian WORLD TAG TITLE Evolution Vs Rosey and Hurricane Edge Vs Rhyno (this sets up pretty easily since he WAS the one that "replaced" Edge afterall and we can always say Rhyno attacked him last year) Shelton Benjamin Vs Storm (Just to put Benjamin over)
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted March 24, 2004 My first reply was deleted from another thread, along with the thread itself, so I'll try my hand at re-writing it: Wow! Incredibly shocked when I discovered that Kurt Angle was the new General Manager of SmackDown!. I should've seen it coming - Kurt's been under wraps since WrestleMania. I love the idea, because with Kurt's natural charisma, he can keep heat on himself, presuming that he will be a heel General Manager, and it gives him something significant to do while he's down. Chuck Palumbo and The A-Train to Raw? I can't see them doing anything significant, there, but the FBI was dead, and it's great for Rico (and Jackie Gayda, obviously) to get on over to SmackDown!. Or was it... the old SmackDown! ? A 3-for-1 deal involving The Dudley Boyz & Booker T and Triple H belittles the two headed over to SmackDown!. Well, let's just hope that the Tag Team Division on SmackDown! isn't ruined even more, this makes the Booker T/Long alliance more natural, and, well, also makes me think that it wasn't planned, considering that Triple H is straight back over to Raw to feud with Edge, unless it's because of that, or to change Raw for that installment. Overall, very impressed so far - how will things pan out? I think that I pretty much nailed it.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted March 24, 2004 If it is Edge vs HHH at Backlash, Edge would have to win. The Comeback Kid always wins, no matter who he is or who he's facing. Thus, HHH vs Edge will not happen at Backlash.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 You know, this just goes to prove to us that HHH & Stephanie are the ones running the company, and not Vince. HHH has his father in law right by the balls. Exactly how does prove what you are saying, genius? Please come at us with some evidence before uttering out something ignorant. Why can't you accept the fact that perhaps Vince is just incompetent and gutless? Or that guys that are close to Vince like HHH, Taker, and Austin are in Vince's ear and pretty much have creative carte blanche over their angles, as well as input towards others? Sorry, but I like to dabble in a little thing called fact. Not masturbate in rampant speculation. Last I checked, Vince was the one who still calls all the shots in the end. Bring a source or some credibility next time if you want to knock me off my pedestal.
Adam 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 This is a big shock to me, and I kinda like it. But, as somebody said before, we will now probably get the Angle/Eddie feud with Boss vs. Employee, which has now been done to death. BUt according to the SD! spoilers, a NEW FEUD~! has started with Eddie and someone else. Shoot me now.

Guest glennsoe Report post Posted March 24, 2004 At least Rvd & Booker T can reach main event status on Smackdown, but they could do better than Angle as GM, but maybe they feel he "must" be on tv ??
