TheBigSwigg 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 I was just wanting to know what everyone thought of the Sunday night Encore of the Draft Lottery. Is this just Spike TV filling air time?
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Well, I missed RAW last week anyway so at least I get to cap HHH / Guerrero.
Guest Fook Report post Posted March 28, 2004 It's just because they got a high rating for it and they want to strike while the iron is hot. Lottery = Ratings
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 You'll all propably think I'm nuts, but I really think that Spike TV should air a repeat of Raw at sometime during the week. It would propably do just as well as anything else in their lineup.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Yeah...I remember the great days when I would watch The first hour of Nitro...watch Raw and watch the Nitro repeat at 1 am. Repeats won't hurt you...Air them at a time where nothing else really happens...likely on the WWE 24/7 thingy...they will re-air raw and smackdowns.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Nothing bad can really come from it.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted March 28, 2004 For most viewers, the Draft Lottery wasn't as groundbreaking as it were hyped to be, but a repeat is fine.

Kizzo 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 I think its a test....to see how well a replay on Sunday for RAW...leading up to a new episode of RAW the following Monday can do...if it equals the ratings of HEAT or better....I would get rid of HEAT...and just do a replay for RAW on Sundays... Styles 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 I would love to have RAW replayed sometime during the week. It wouldn't get any worse ratings than the weekend B-shows anyway. During the Monday Night Wars, having Nitro replaying every night at 12 or 1 was like a god send because it allowed me to re-watch the parts of Nitro I didn't see when RAW was on. Obviously that situation doesn't exist anymore but in case I miss RAW or maybe there's a great match or something I want to tape...as Anglesault said, nothing BAD would come of it. I would love to see it repeated weekly.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 When Nitro would have the big overruns, where would TNT get back on track? Let's say Nitro is supposed to go 7 to 9. Tony Schiavone says they got permission to go another 23 minutes, so Nitro ends at 9.23. Thunder (Thu-thu-thunder... thunder) in Paradise (anything can happen) runs frm 9.23 to 10.23 then. Nitro replay from 10.23 to 12.46. How do they get back on schedule by Tuesday morning? Cut a program short? Some of those "Rough Cut" things? I forgot. Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 28, 2004 off the air. you go off the air for those extra 20 minutes(usually around 530 am) and the schedule is rightly balanced from there
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 5.30? But that was when TNT would show The Little Rascals. A weird programming thing by them, immortalized in an episode of the Simpsons: Marge: Homer, why are you up so early? The Little Rascals isn't on until 5. Homer: I know. I'm taping it. I have to go. It would propably do just as well as anything else in their lineup. I'd skip the live Raw if they showed repeats every week. The only reason I watch Raw is it *might* be good, but I could read recaps and find out if it was crap or not if it was repeated. So, it would be good for me, bad for WWE *maybe*. I usually tape Smackdown and use the spoilers or JHawk's review to let me know what to fast-forward through.
jester 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Replaying Raw is a good idea, but I'm amused at the commercials which hype like it was the biggest event ever in wrestling. It essentially boiled down to a few roster switches. And Booker and the Dudleys told that together they only equal one HHH. They must have been thrilled. y

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Cancel HEAT??? So what, you have ONE show to showcase the whole RAW roster? Personally I think it's stupid to replay RAW in the HEAT slot, it just eliminates a chance for the guys on HEAT to get the little tv time they could get. razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 I think they should cancel both Heat and Velocity for reruns of Smackdown and Raw. The regulars of the weekend shows would be moved to a third show where they would not get overshadowed by recaps of the major brands from Monday or Thursday. Repeat Smackdown on Saturday night around 9:00 PM and repeat Raw on Sunday around 6:00 PM. I'm not a big fan of the 45 minute recap + 10 minute lowcard jobber match that is Heat & Velocity to begin with. Either go all recap or all new matches but don't do a half ass mix of both. I refuse to watch Heat because Coach & Al are probably the worst announce team I have witness in the business today..........they are even worse then Watanbe & Gellar of FMW videos. Fökai 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Here's a better idea: Eliminate Confidential, have Viacom insert the Smackdown replay in its place. Have Spike TV show the RAW replay after HEAT. It is obvious that ratings mean squat to Vince McMahon in the grand scheme of things - he worries about buyrates since they're the source of how the company is currently doing (they're simply used as a bargaining chip in getting a television deal, but that doesn't matter now with a new extension with Viacom being signed last month.) If he can negotiate terms with Viacom's stations to get the A-shows replayed later during the week, there's a good chance more viewers will tune in and follow the product. Let the RAW encore's rating tonight be an indicator of whether the idea of "show replays = watered-down ratings" works or not. If it hits a 3.0 or better, McMahon will take a second look at replay programming.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 Fuck that, I like Confidential. I'd rather have Velocity cancelled if it came down to it.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 Fuck that, I like Confidential. I'd rather have Velocity cancelled if it came down to it. Velocity recaps Smackdown in markets where UPN isn't available. Velocity recaps matches, events and angles, whereas Confidential doesn't. Velocity has original matches each week, whereas Confidential doesn't. Velocity gets a better rating. razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 How about showing the complete Raw "uncut" with the Heat matches without the recap BS. Maybe show the Heat matches right after the overun segment.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 How about showing the complete Raw "uncut" with the Heat matches without the recap BS. Maybe show the Heat matches right after the overun segment. That's a pretty good idea. That way Heat can be 45 minutes but have no recap BS and would open up a spot for another match/angle or two.
