razazteca Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 A game of Curling was the cause for Santa's face turn! now that was the best part of the movie outside of the deli scene.
Rob E Dangerously Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 This entire movie ruled. Especially killing off Kattan and Drescher in the first 10 minutes. And the Deli scene. And Santa's Zamboni! And Pastor Dave Thomas
razazteca Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I found one editting error Anybody else notice that reindeer was tied to the hood of the SUV even though they blew it up with a bazooka!
2GOLD Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 That film was so hilariously bad. I want to own it on DVD and put it beside TOP SECRET!
The Czech Republic Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I found one editting error Anybody else notice that reindeer was tied to the hood of the SUV even though they blew it up with a bazooka! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I bet that really brought the film down.
razazteca Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 That film was so hilariously bad. I want to own it on DVD and put it beside TOP SECRET! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It has a place right next to this classic
Darthtiki Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 What's great about this movie is it fits in with both Halloween and Christmas. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah it's called "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
Gary Floyd Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I just remember that while I watched that last night, my draw was practically on the floor. That was the most surreal movie I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen some pretty weird movies.
RedJed Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I must be a sucker for these kind of weird premise horror/comedy/parody movies, as I fucking loved this and am surely getting this on DVD when its released in a few months. Probably some gore and other general stuff they had to cut for TV. Goldberg was way better in this than I ever expected, funny/charismatic on the Casino Cinema show too. Never thought he had it in him! This had a weird vibe kind of similar to Gremlins in some ways......
JMFabiano524 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Question: What did every '90s sitcom fan want to see? If you don't know the answer, watch the opening scene of this movie.
Placebo Effect Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 That was one hell of a b-movie. Pretty much exactly what it should have been. What I loved was that you could tell the people involved with the movie were having the time of their lives. There are so many movies, especially when it comes to those made-for-video, that are just languid. Santa's Slay is just fun to watch if you're not a film snob. Hanukkah light usage was fantastic. I wanted to see them kill of Tiny 'Zeus' Lister. I'm shocked they didn't. Santa returned to the North Pole for two weeks of his rest before his trip to Moscow... to celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas. On her way to visit Nicholas... Mac got Lost] Mr. Green... is still dead. AWESOME The red Xs next to the people who died and the green presents next to those who lived was a nice touch. That outtake with Goldberg hopping on the table was great too. This comes out via Lions Gate right around Christmas.
Black Lushus Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Question: What did every '90s sitcom fan want to see? If you don't know the answer, watch the opening scene of this movie. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think someone spoiled that answer already...
Boon Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 This is on again right now, and it's freaking hilarious.
iliketurtles Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 I was watching a little of it and by is Emile de Ravin fucking hot. I need to watch this movie on SpikeTV at some point when I get time.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 They killed all the big stars in the first 2 minutes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SPOILERS PLZ. Was this McMahon's way of punishing Goldberg for leaving?...
Boon Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 No way, man- this was no punishment, this was pure gold. I marked out hard when they used Goldberg's theme in the score. WHO'S NEXT?!
