Guest Coffey Report post Posted March 30, 2004 I've been watching for 16 years. Right around the time Wrestlemania IV ended. I watched all the build-up to the "Mega Powers" explode. Hulk Hogan & Macho Man Randy Savage got me hooked. People like The Ultimate Warrior & Jake "The Snake" Roberts kept me hooked. I'm 22 years old now, so I've been watching since I was about five or six.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 I've been watching for seven years, this summer. The Hart Foundation and The Undertaker hooked me. I wasn't too big on Austin until a few months later, once I was watching religiously.
cbacon 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 My earliest memory was watching Hogan/Warrior at WrestleMania VI when i was 7 years old in England. I must have been watching before that though since i marked out for the Warriors entrance then Hogan's , not realizing they were facing each other. I was quite surprised. We moved to Canada a year later and i caught SuperStars every Saturday afternoon
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 A little over 18 years for me. I went to a new school when I was 11, and everyone watched wrestling, so I did, too. I kept watching because they wrote some pretty good storylines back then (from a mark's perspective, anyway). Savage turning on Hogan was pretty intense, even though I knew it was coming. The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Since sometime between Survivor Seriers '93 and WMX. I don't know exactly when, but I do recall watching shows that were building to SS, and I remember wondering what this Wrestlemania thing was, and why it was so important. No one thing hooked me, as near as I can tell. I had a friend who watched wrestling a lot, so I just started doing it too. I liked it, so I kept doing it. I've been watching it pretty consistently since then, except recently I've given up on RAW.
Guest Report post Posted March 31, 2004 I first started watching during the end of 1990 and the first PPV event that I saw live was WM VII, with one of the greatest matches ever and definitely my favorite in Savage vs Warrior.
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 When I was eight, back in 1991, wrestling suddenly became popular in the UK when Sky started showing it. All my friends had Sky, but I didn't, and I REALLY wanted to watch this "wrestling" thing they were all talking about. Then ITV started showing WCW on Saturday afternoons, which I began to watch. The first match I saw (jobber squashes excluded) was Johnny B Badd vs Scotty Flamingo, which I thought was good, but the next week had Steve Austin beating Barry Windham for the WCW TV title, which got me hooked. From then on I watched WCW every week, then, when I finally got Sky in 1994, started watching the WWF as well.
Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 Sometime in early 1984 I think April. Was flipping channels on a Saturday and stumbled across a WWF show on the station out of Windsor,Ontario,Canada. It was a week or two after Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas won the WWF Tag titles because I remember them showing the footage from the change. I'm not sure any one thing hooked me but I know I kept watching. Then, metro Detroit started getting cable and I had access to the NWA and then it really took over. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 1996. I was 11 years old at the time and one of my friends came to school that day, ranting about how awesome thing thing called professional wrestling was. Around the same time, I hired 'Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game' for my Sega Megadrive and absolutely loved it, however I thought they were just made up fighting game characters, not actual people. The next weekend, I went down to the video store and hired out 'The History of Wrestlemania' (the WM compilation with Yoko & Bret on the cover) and the rest is history. Bret Hart is what initially kept me interested, so I guess you could attribute my love for wrestling to him. UYI

Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 The first ever wrestling show I saw when I was a kid was Wrestlemania 4, and the main event hooked me (DiBiase/Savage). I got into both guys so much, and what made me dislike Hogan was the fact that he cheated to help Randy win (I was a HUGE DiBiase mark).
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 I would flip through and watch the old NWA shows on TBS back in the early to mid 80's. What got me hooked permanently was when Flair and the Horsement locked Dusty Rhodes in the cage and broke his ankle. As for WWF, it was the Rock n Wrestling Connection. Seeing Hogan vs Piper on MTV was huge at the time.
Kapoutman 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 Wrestlemania 3. Hogan vs Andre The Giant. I live in Montreal, Quebec, so my father kept telling me stories of Andre in Grand Prix Wrestling, dominating his opponents... He thought it was a good occasion to show me what Andre was like. I was hooked.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 My first ever wrestling memory is watching WM5 and being SHOCKED~! at how Rude beat Warrior. Plus I was a major Hulkamaniac AND a Macho mark so I loved the main event. I watched on/off till late 92 when Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Money Inc. and Randy Savage got me hooked on the WWF. A few months later Sting, Hollywood Blondes and Flair got me hooked on WCW. Damn I still remember how hyped I was for Battle Bowl 93, yet I haven't seen it to this day. Never looked back since. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Back in the early 80's (pre-WMI). Initially discovered the WWF, but pretty much watched any wrestling that was on TV (NWA, whatever promotions ESPN showed [primarily Von Erich's TX promotion, they may have also shown AWA stuff, but I could be wrong]). Nobody really hooked me in, I was just a kid & it looked neat. Some stuff I can claim to have seen: -seeing Magnum TA wrestle -seeing pre-WWF X-Pac wrestle as "Lightning Kid" -seeing Fritz Von Erich vs. King Kong Bundy, who had *HAIR* -Midnight Rockers pre-WWF Got out of wrestling around the late 80's. Got back into wrestling during the mid-90's. Caught ECW on late night TV, the nWo angle started up in WCW shortly thereafter, and I was hooked.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 16, 2004 I first started watching (religiously) in early 2002 - what got me hooked? The Triple H/Stephanie McMahon "Renewal of Vows" angle.
