CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Oh, I wrote a bunch of letters when they made him work Velocity. I really don't see the big deal. Afterall, it was a CLASSIC match with super-main eventer Bob Holly, wasn't it?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I don't even think it was the main event of the show.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 HA! At least Edge's match with Albert was the main event. Bwhahaha.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 4, 2004 After looking it up, I stand corrected. Angle got the "honor" of cheating to beat Bob Holly in the ME of the June 15th Velocity.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 After looking it up, I stand corrected. Angle got the "honor" of cheating to beat Bob Holly in the ME of the June 15th Velocity. OBVIOUSLY it's because Angle knew Holly was going to be a main eventer in a year and a half, so Angle had to keep him looking strong. Duh.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Just for Kicks Top 20 Active WWE Workers 1. Chris Benoit 2. Chris Jericho 3. Eddy Guerrero 4. Triple H 5. Rey Mysterio Jr 6. Kurt Angle 7. Shelton Benjamin 8. John Cena 9. RVD 10. The Big Show 11. Ric Flair 12. Matt Hardy 13. Chavo Guerrero 14. Christian 15. Charlie Haas 16. Lance Storm 17. Hurricane 18. Chuck Palumbo 19. Ultimo Dragon 20. Jamie Knoble Is that in any kind of order? If so, Knoble is *way* too low. I'd jump him in front of Cena (at least) on that list. I'd also consider Angle inactive. well Knoble's not a mainstay character...I was listing it via on a TOTAL PACKAGE...If we were talking about just pure wrestling Knoble would be top 10 hands down...but Cena's character makes up for his "lesser" skills... Knoble can talk when they give him the chance. And if you go by "total package", I'd still slot him up at least 1/2 on that list (and I like everyone on that list, except for HHH and maybe RVD). Some people have the advantage of being booked better, or being involved in on-going storylines (which is where X or Show or Chavo or Cena would edge out Knoble). Having him below Dragon, Palumbo, Storm, Helms, Haas, RVD, Mattitude is wrong (IMO) since Knoble is better in the ring than all of them, has the same or better mic skills than most, and none are involved in any storylines. Guest Adrian 3:16 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Benoit is my favorite. No matter how bad a Raw or Smackdown is, I'll always tune in for Benoit's matches and watch him take people apart. And I have no problems admitting it, I've been happier than a pig in shit watching Raw since Mania. Benoit as champ = greatness. Honorable mentions: Austin- he's not active but I've always been a Stone Cold mark and always will be, my second favorite after Benoit. Angle- still my Olympic hero. Flair- the strut, the whoos, the Flair flop, and the beg for mercy/low blow still crack me up after all these years. HBK- he's pulled a lot of backstage shit and his face character can be boring at times, but even after a 4 year absence I'd rather watch his matches over anyone else on Raw save for you know who. His heel character was also one of the coolest ever. Benjamin- I've liked this guy since his Team Angle days. More potential than Orton and Cena combined (and I like Orton and Cena). Guest Danny Dubya v 2.0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Absolute Fave : a tie between Shelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit Whole list - Shelton Benjamin - Chris Benoit - Eddie Guerrero - Big Show - Booker T - John Cena - Chavo Guerrero - RVD Honorable mentions : HHH for lacking consistancy, Charlie Haas, and I got bored with Angle. Brock Lesnar, if he was still in the WWE, would be right behind Shelton and Benoit on the list. I'm also starting to mark for Rene Dupree and Spike Dudley.... I don't know why. Drury37 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Mine are Kurt Angle because he has been my favorite since he entered back in 2000 and Chris Benoit because he is reminding me of this generations Bret Hart right now. I also like Cena and I still root for RVD. Thanks.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 5, 2004 No, Chris Benoit has a more serious aura about him than Bret ever did. And yes, I also like Kurt Angle, John Cena, and sometimes/usually, Rob Van Dam.

Drury37 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 No, Chris Benoit has a more serious aura about him than Bret ever did. I kind of meant in the ring and I marked out like a bitch when he had Michaels in the sharp shooter at WWE Wrestlemania XX because of it kind of seemed like a salute to Bret. I mainly mean in the ring though. Thanks.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Chris Benoit. The best wrestler in the company from an in-ring standpoint (although Eddy is close). You just can't help but love the guy.

Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Mick Foley. He's a family man, seems to be a genuinely great guy, unselfish, great promo and of course has entertained for years. I also like the fact that he suceeded despite not having a great physique.
Highland 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 From a pure ringwork standpoint, I go with Benoit, Eddy and Benjamin, but if I don't care for technical wrestling, etc. then I mark for the Rock and Dupree. I also secretly mark for HHH, like it or not he can cut killer promos, it's only because it's not Ric Flair doing them that TSM shits on them Everyone complains that HHH is ripping off the Nature Boy. Why not? Wouldn't you want to emulate the best? Besides, Flair stole his gimmick from Buddy Roger (although Flair freely admits he did).
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Even though I rarely get to see him- Paul London is my favourite on the roster. Eddy is second on SD! On RAW- it's Chris Benoit with Chris Jericho second. If The Rock and Mick Foley were around more often then they would be very high on my list

AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Kurt Angle - I love his comedy work, I love his serious work, I love his ring work. The only time I can remember not loving him was at times during his '01 face run. Mick Foley - I can identify with Mick moreso than I can with anyone else, being a big, goofy, sentimental wrestling fan. His autobiographies are my favourite books, though that's probably not saying much, since they're the only ones I've read in 6 years. I don't like an average Foley match as much as those of other workers, mostly due to his style, but Mind Games and Rumble 2000 are among my favourite matches. His sense of humour is great, as are his promos. Paul London - I don't know if I've even seen 25 of his matches, or heard him cut a promo other than his SD! debut, yet he's never failed to impress me. It's one of my greatest hopes that he continues to improve, and gets to show what he's capable of some day in WWE.
