WrestlingDeacon 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 What I'm saying is nobody will know who Wayne Brady is or give a shit about him five years from now and that's why it won't be funny. The skit about Rick James involved events that happened twenty years ago and it's still funny so that means it will still be funny twenty years from now. Rick James is a larger than life pop culture icon. Even people who don't know who he is know the name.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted April 8, 2004 I liked South Park (especially the duck for some reason), but the Wayne Brady skit was just so amazing. That may be the best thing I've ever seen on TV.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 What made the Wanye Brady skit funny is the presentation. Nobody expected it to happen so the shock value is there. Also the way it was done made the skit work as Dave sold it as "Damn this man is crazy" which helped the preception of Wayne being the bad guy. Another factor was the Training Day smoking part with the camera special effect and the Negrodemus flashback. It looks like Dave Chapelle saved Wanye Brady's career......now if only Dave can help Tommy Davidson.
WrestlingDeacon 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 You know, when I was writing about how this won't be funny five years from now because no one will know or care about Wayne Brady I was thinking to myself, "well if anyone disputes that I'll just tell them to take a look at where Tommy Davidson is now." Freaky.

Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 That Wayne Brady episode was damn hilarious indeed. Favorite scene: Dave: Son! (with Nick) Dave: I'm still funny! Remember me? I'm Rick James, bitch! (doo doo doo doo) (from where Dave was a donkey-rapper) hilarious. AND Big Boi. "On Mars, Bitch!"
Mik 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 I thought South Park was hilarious tonight. When the kids first went to Chef's and they were telling him how they got served, I thought it was going to be a misunderstanding where Chef thought one thing and the kids meant another. The fact that the parents and chef were actually talking about being served in the dancing context as well was hilarious. Not to mention any episode that features Butters is pretty damn funny. I can't believe they parodied You Got Served. And I still can't believe Wayne Brady did that skit on Chapelle Show...Hilarious.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 "i'm going to be so non-conformist, i'm not going to conform with you guys..." "dancing without a machine telling you what to do? That's crazy!"

chaosrage 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 DDR asian kid, Conformist, Rasins girl are great in this episode. It's a nice change of pace from the all about Cartman shows and Kenny being killed every week. Well they haven't killed Kenny in about 3 years but yeah, this ep was great. at the dancing duck. And next week, the greatest character ever, motherfucking Lemmiwinks returns!
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 8, 2004 What's going to make this skit great years from now is that they managed to tie together so much stuff in the course of a single show. Next week looks fun.
