God, I wish I had saved by the bell stuff on tape. It's too early in the morning for me to record, and I always forget to set my VCR timer. Damn me to hell!

Modes, why don't you watch the later showing instead? Around here, TBS shows Saved by the Bell twice a day on weekdays (7:00 AM to 8:00 A.M and 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM).

I actually set my timer right (yay me) so I got to see some College Years. BTW, the line Zack said was "I always thought he was Italian" not "mexican".

You could always just buy the DVD's, Modes. Cost you no more than $70 if you find good deals (I know this week the seasons 3/4 boxed set was only $29.99).

Season Four was the last season right? So does the DVD set include the summer episodes and the ones with Tori?

Are there any extras?

Odd question, but how come sex never came up in the show? You'd think that they'd at least have one eps dedicated to the topic, I mean they alluded to it like a couple of times at least I'm sure.

And here's a question to build on that. What characters did you think did have sex? I think Zack and Kelly had sex a few times. And I'm sure Zack had sex with at least a few of his other girlfriends. I think Kelly had sex with Jeff once or twice. Slater I think has had sex to but, not with Jesse, she seemed like the type that would wait for marriage. Lisa I think has had sex once or twice. And, of course, Screech was/is a virgin and I doubt him and Violet did the deed. I bet they wanted to wait.

I really enjoy Mark Paul-Gosslear on NYPD Blue. He can play dramatic, but he can also brings a nice lighter-side to his role and the show in general.

Agreed. My 'rents have watched that show from the beginning, which is how I found out he was on it in the first place. I checked out one ep of it (never watched it in the Caruso/Smits/Schroeder years) and liked it enough that it's been weekly viewing for me.

As for the time capsule thing, holee shit, I didn't realize that. I think that the fact that the show is still on every day kinda shows you that you don't realize how long ago it was actually on in first run eps.

The DVD releases are fucked up in the fact that they aren't following the traditionally accepted season structure with what episodes they collect with regards to their "seasons".

From what I've seen of the DVD episode list, the Season 3/4 box set collects half of the traditionally recognized third season and random filler-episodes from season four...

As for extras, the second set has selected commentaries by executive producer Peter Engels and several cast members (which ones I don't know)...

My friends and I had a debate over what causes everyone to stop when Zack says "ok, freeze".

I argued that when Zack Morris says those words, a series of pulses emit from his body that affect everyone around him. *However*, the pulses cannot penetrate walls, explaining why people continue to move outside of doors, and why people can come into the room and interrupt Zack's asides.

Mr. Malibu - your thoughts?

Question about the College Years series. Did it only last for one year, or did it a run a couple of seasons? Just wondering because I'm recording SBTB off TBS everyday (yes, I figured out how to use this VCR) and wanted to know how many episodes there was for the SBTB:CY show. I find it funny, although I've only seen a few episodes.

Thanks. I wonder how many episodes they made, since if they show 4 episodes every friday, they'll be looping through every month or so.

When The College Years runs out of eps, they show the two movies (Hawiian Styles and Wedding In Las Vegas) in episode format, then once they air those they loop the College Years again.

As for the "time out" thing, beats me how to explain. I always just found it to be one of those cheesy ways for the character to talk to the camera. It was like Zack's trademark/catchphrase before they dropped the really overexaggerated silliness of the early eps.

What has Mario Lopez been doing lately ?

I remember he starred in that show on USA about Cops on Bikes (Name?) and then he was in that male version of "The View" type talk show with Danny Bonaduce, but then that got cancelled. I haven't seen him since.

Post SBTB, who's had the best career ?

Post SBTB, who's had the best career ?

Pacific Blue was the name of the show. Lopez just got married to Ali Landry (the Dorito's girl), and I've seen him hosting all sorts of shows, from "The Other Half" to some pet show to one of the recent Star Search/talent hunt type of shows.

Gotta agree on Mark-Paul having the best post-SBTB career. He's awesome on NYPD Blue. I'm also a Dead Man On Campus fan. Tiffani was great as Val on 90210, and she had the role on Fastlane, although that got canned fast. Last I heard from her she had guest starred on Good Morning, Miami.

Can't argue with Tiffani's run on 90210. Those were golden years on the Darren Star shows, as I think they started the psycho Kimberley storyline on Melrose Place around then as well...

Tiffany and Mark-Paul (I can never spell their last names correctly...) are the top two winners in the post-SBTB careers category.

Slater's definitely the winner in quantity of TV deals of the SBTB cast. I saw a TV spot with Mario Lopez pimping a local car dealership not too long ago.

Of course who can forget Dustin Diamond whipping ass in Celebrity Boxing!

Then there's Elizabeth Hurley who went from destroying her career with Showgirls to hawking pilates workouts on late night paid programs.

Finally there's Lark Voorhies who disappeared off the face of the Earth it seems.

Elizabeth BERKLEY. Elizabeth Hurley is the British actress who used to be involved with Hugh Grant, and starred in Bedazzled, amongst other films.

Lark Voorhees was on Days of Our Lives for a bit after SBTB, and had some movie roles (How To Be A Player and How High). Dennis Haskins said when I met him that she's just now getting back into acting after taking some time off.

And I thought I was the only one who liked Dead Man On Campus.
