JoeDirt Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I pre ordered WMXX on FYE.com today (after seeing a post on PWInsider) for 16.99 plus tax and shipping. It came to about $21 - not too bad, IMO. Other prices I've seen on the net: Best Buy has it for $24.99 with free shipping. Circuit City has it for $19.99 High Spots has it for $24.99 Suncoast, Media Play and Sam Goody all have it for $34.95 Amazon has it for $24.46 The WWE has it for $34.95 And you might want to check your local Walmart. I bought the Royal Rumble and No Way Out DVDs for $15 there - not that bad a price either.
cbacon Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I thought about buying it off ShopZone, only for the package with the program since they sold out at MSG less than an hour into the show
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 deepdiscountdvd.com has it for $20.98 with free shipping too.
iliketurtles Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I thought it didn't come out til like June. Could I go to the mall tonight and get it?
JoeDirt Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 I thought it didn't come out til like June. Could I go to the mall tonight and get it? Nope, it comes out 4/27.
Fökai Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Second the Wal-Mart idea - I picked up the 2004 Rumble for fifteen bucks as well.
cawthon777 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I've never seen WWE DVDs at my local Wal-Mart. The last time I was there, No Way Out was on VHS but they were practically hidden in the electronics section.
Styles Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Wow, thanks for the tip! Its indeed 16.99 at fye.com. This is a 3 disc set, right? I wonder why it's so low from them. Does fye.com usually have really cheap DVDs? Actually, I'm browsing and apparently not. The 1 disc WWE DVDs are all around 20. Is it a special sale to get preorders?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I'll have to pay around $36.95 for my copy. Well, at least it's not going to be $72.95 like first rumoured.
Downhome Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Order it FYE and use the coupon code FYEVISA10 to get it for $19.19!
Styles Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Order it FYE and use the coupon code FYEVISA10 to get it for $19.19! Awww man, I could have saved 80 cents.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 No matter how the Pay-Per-View turned out, WWE were going all out with this DVD.
JoeDirt Posted April 16, 2004 Author Report Posted April 16, 2004 I've never seen WWE DVDs at my local Wal-Mart. The last time I was there, No Way Out was on VHS but they were practically hidden in the electronics section. Yeah, it was the same thing when I bought them too. They were pretty much hidden in the new release DVD section, not even displayed so you could see them or anything. They also had the Stone Cold Truth DVD for cheap, but I didn't get that one.
SamoaRowe Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 It's times like this that make me treasure my Best Buy discount! I expect it will be 18 bucks or so for me.
DMann2003 Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Cool, after the discount and S&H and tax it came to 19.65 That's damn good
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 It's times like this that make me treasure my Best Buy discount! I expect it will be 18 bucks or so for me. Where did you get that?
Kardo Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Remember iB they are talking about the USA... If you want it here either order it from www.dvdsoon.com and wait a bit longer. Or get it when it comes out here.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I was wondering where he got his discount. If I was ordering Region 1, I'd purchase from Playcentric, or maybe Amazon. But I'll wait - I'd much prefer the superior PAL image.
Agent_Bond34 Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Second the Wal-Mart idea - I picked up the 2004 Rumble for fifteen bucks as well. As did I. I also seen No Way Out there for the same price, but I never picked it up, and now it's gone. If they have WrestleMania, I'm definitely getting it. By the way, from any of you who seen the show, how was it?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Are you talking about WrestleMania? If so, a letdown for what it was hyped to be - rather depressing in the show's aftermath, actually.
pochorenella Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I thought about buying it off ShopZone, only for the package with the program since they sold out at MSG less than an hour into the show Hey, were you at the show, too? That really pissed me off, since the lines were so damn long to buy merchandise. I also couldn't get the WMXX baseball cap that I wanted, but I'm not sure if they didn't have it at all or they sold out. Now not even Shopzone has them anymore. As for the DVD, I already pre-ordered at Amazon for $24.46 two weeks ago.
SamoaRowe Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 It's times like this that make me treasure my Best Buy discount! I expect it will be 18 bucks or so for me. Where did you get that? By being an employee of Best Buy. We get everything for the price the store pays for the item, plus 5%.
TheBigSwigg Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 $22.92 at FYE.com. WTF? When did they start adding sales tax to online orders? It cost me an extra 2 bucks
