JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I didn't get to watch NWO or WMXX live, so I'm actually kind of excited to see this one. Should be an average/good show, though I don't expect many surprises.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'm actually excited about a RAW PPV for once. This will be the first PPV I've ordered from WWE in a long, long time. I just hope it won't be a total waste of $35 like the last 3 RAW PPVs have been.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Can't say I'm excited for any match, plus I didn't have anyone agree to go with me so no road trip. I'm not watching.

Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'm going to watch it at Hooters, just as I have done with every PPV since Vengeance '03 (with the exception of No Mercy '03 because I just had no desire whatsoever to see that show). Post 500, bitch.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 18, 2004 24's on tomorrow night here... Jack met Nina again... Shit, is Chappelle in trouble? Nonetheless, ladies and gentlemen, back to business, I think that the main reason that Backlash is looking so good is because it contains a lot of WrestleMania blow-off (well, some), but you have to at least give the Foley/Orton feud credit. Guest croweater Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I like the way Foley and Orton has gone, but I can't really see it doing anything for Orton. Him beating Mick Foley won't be the thing that makes his career. I find that the person has to be over generally before the big feud as opposed to just chucking him in one and hoping it will come out good. If anything Orton will come out of this with Luke-warm heat, he'll ride the Legend killer wave until it starts to die off a bit and then he'll probably be put over by flair and HHH and yet still I can't see anyone buying him as a Main Eventer. Some Wrestlers just have IT. Stone cold, Rock, and now we're seeing Cena. Wrestlers who are over without the charisma are generally fuck off good wrestlers. Orton is neither, he doesn't have IT in or out of the ring and he never will regardless of how much he is put over. That said, I'm looking forward to his match at Backlash just to see Mick do what he does best and try to get other people over and make them look good. Benoit/HHH/Michaels should be good-great and have great crowd heat. the undercard is Ok. Overall I'm hoping for a good show, or at least a couple of show saving matches. Aero 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'm really looking forward to Foley vs. Orton, but I don't think I'm up for spending $35 tonight. I'll just have someone tape it for me.

The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Meltzer said that they've got some crazy shit planned for the Foley-Orton match, so for that reason alone, I'm interested in seeing this. It's been awhile since I can remember a big-time match that wasn't in the restricted "WWE style."
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 18, 2004 well...Foley didn't drop 80 pounds for a paint by numbers brawl...He has had FOUR FUCKING YEARS to conjure up something sick for this match...Knowing Foley's creative mind, im equally scared/excited. Will he try to outbump Angle this time? I really can't think of any spots that can equal HIAC's or Even Angle's "bump. I'm just expecting Foley to blade severely as will Orton. However, with all the mentions of Japan...I wouldn't be shocked if Foley used some of those gimmicks (Glass, Barbed Wire, Flaming Tables)... but in the end...It's a RKO on thumbtacks for the finish. haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'm expecting more of a Rumble2K brawl between Foley & Orton. No sick bumps, just weapons and blood.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I'm expecting more of a Rumble2K brawl between Foley & Orton. No sick bumps, just weapons and blood. Especially since they just had a "sick bump" on Smackdown just a few days ago. But anyway...everyone's forgetting...it's not FOLEY vs. Orton, it's CACTUS JACK vs. Orton! Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Another thought I just had... HOW THE FUCK DO THEY DO THIS CARD? I looked at it and one single fucking match shouts CURTAIN JERKER! I have a sneaking suspicion this will happen... For Heat they have a Grenier Vs Hurricane Match but Eugene wanders out again and the match ends in a no-contest. Le Resistance decide that they are SICK of Eric's "Special" nephew and want a match but Eric isn't there but Nitro is. So He books a Match for BACKLASH between Conway and Eugene. Bischoff bumps into Regal backstage who is befuddled and eric finds out Nitro booked his special nephew into a Match that night. Nitro is "punished" and is forced to work as the special guest ref for Edge Vs Kane. They start the show and Eugene Vs Conway is the comedy opener...Eugene gets the "HOLY SHIT UPSET" and then they go with the normal card. Here's my final "ORDER" prediction Rob Conway Vs Eugene Woman's Title Match Handicap Match Edge Vs Rhyno Flair Vs Benjamin Falls Count Anywhere Tajiri Vs Coach Triple Threat Match
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Interested in seeing what they do with Shelton... He should beat Flair clean. But it's WWE, so I'm guessing he defeats Flair by DQ, as Flair & Batista attack him after the bell. Leads to Shelton and Maven or someone Vs. Flair & Batista tomorrow. Which sucks, because Shelton should be a singles star. Just let him beat Flair clean and keep rising to take the belt off of Orton!
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 18, 2004 why doe everyone STRONGLY feel WWE will stick a meaningless face with Benjamin? Seems to me they actually want to push him a SINGLES Star. Something tells me they will put Benjamin over Flair, Batistia attacks after the match. And they do a Benjamin/Batisia feud leading up to Bad Blood, Benjamin goes over and starts a IC Title run against Orton winning the title over Orton there. I have a feeling Benjamin/Flair will be more comedy with flair doing the signature spots and Benjamin displaying the charisma he showed during the first HHH Match...should be a fun little match. Not expecting them to give it an actual straight up 15 minute wrestling match. Flair's a Spectatale now not a wrestler.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 For some reason Im not all that interested in getting this PPV. the matches don't really appeal to me, even the Main Event. It just seems like a Kliq Do over crap and a waste of time to repeat the WM main event. Foley and Orton sounds interesting but it will just be Mick Losing, since they won't put the IC belt on him. Styles 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I too smell a Eugene/Rob Conway match but if the card stays at 7 I predicted this order: Jericho vs. Christian/Trish Lita vs. Victoria Ric Flair vs. Shelton Benjamin Kane vs. Edge Cactus vs. Orton Tajiri vs. Coach Benoit vs. HBK vs. HHH I was like the only one to predict Show/Cena opening WM so I'm 1 for 1! Anyway this should be a good show. I'd reccomend anyone who has a high speed connection and doesn't want to spend more than a few bucks to PM Downhome. The more people that pool, the cheaper it is for everyone...
