We'll surely see Orton v. Benjamin (already appearing at a few house shows) HBK v. Benoit Kane v. Edge some more & Eugene and Regal v. Flair and Batista (Maybe not, but is there another tag team for the champions to feud with other than Rosey & Hurricane, and we all know how well they've been pushed...) UYI I wouldn't mind a Orton/Benoit mini-feud leading to a big RAW show in May since they don't have a PPV. gives Orton something to do now that he's gotten over (with me at least) and lets Benoit squash someone. He's not getting the face pops he should and with his "new look and attitude" he could make a good heel, but he may come off as a Triple H wannabe. clean rob 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Makes sense to me. There's got to be a load of possible ways to turn Edge heel, one that doesn't overly align him with Bischoff would be preferable. It's a pretty quick jump up to the main event, but Raw needs another big heel with Kane so utterly shat on and besides, he's much more of a main eventer than Bradshaw, and look what he's doing. UYI 1) Orton isn't ready to be a ME'er yet. Willing to take a beating does not = ME'er. 2) Unless you're having Orton go over (which would be a mistake), you're just going to cut off any momentum Orton gained from the Foley feud. 3) He's still IC champ (as already mentioned). Mistake - if both titles are on the line then whoever wins has both belts, and so theoretically should defend both belts at once. And that means the IC title won't be going back to the midcard anytime soon. You'll get to the point where it has to be given away, like Booker T giving the US belt to Kanyon. If only the world title is on the line and the World champ wins, you've accomplished nothing. If the IC champ wins, you have the same situation outlined above. And if neither belt is on the line and the world champ wins, you've still accomplished nothing. And if the IC champ wins, then he's gonna want a title shot, and so you're back in the same situation. He's reached the crossroads seemingly, but a while with Benjamin would be beneficial rather than facing Benoit and losing. And not in the managerial fashion, but in the "I'm crazy, I think I am this other wrestler, I am going to cut a promo on this other wrestlers opponent" kinda way. In conclusion: Keep Flair very, very, very, very, VERY far away from the ring. He's old. He sucks. The memo has been sent, everyone should realize it by now. Agreed, but I think that if Flair and Orton worked a program(a short one at that), it would help Orton get more heat(keep doing the legend killer thing) while Flair can get to the face manager aspect with it making sense.........
