cbacon Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Any Fuelies on the board? The new album isn't getting much exposure up here in Canada. Although I guess it's not in the States either. It's not their best album but there's some decent single worthy tracks that i thought would be getting some airtime. Thoughts?
Nighthawk Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I would like to know if they're actually called that, or if you made that up. As far as what I think, they've done some fair stuff, but I don't know enough to discuss the latest album.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I loathe Fuel and every other generic rock band. There is one Pearl Jam. One.
Mik Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I have it. I like Falls on Me, Million Miles, Most of All, and Die Like This. You'll get no arguement from me that this is their worst album, but still a few good songs. Yet, no Shimmer.
Youth N Asia Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I like Fuel well enough just to not change the station if they come on. But they just don't have anything that makes them stand out. Just too generic.
haVoc Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I like some generic bands and Fuel is one of them. Not everyone needs to reinvent the wheel and come out with some new sound, image or gimmick. Just some straight cut rock is nice at times.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I like Fuel, but don't ever use the term "Fuelies" again. Please.
1234-5678 Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I have a real weakness for "Shimmer", but "Bad Day" is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. I haven't bought an album of their since the one that was on.
Guest Coffey Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I loathe Fuel and every other generic rock band. There is one Pearl Jam. One. There isn't enough in the world for this comment.
DCMaximo Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Just want to check, is this the same band who were known as Fuel 238 in the UK? They had a great song called "Jesus Or A Gun" if that helps. If so, I saw them supporting Silverchair in Manchester once and they were fantastic and a shitload better than Silverchair were. If not, then sorry to have bumbled falsely into this conversation
Guest stardust Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 The Fuel that's being talked about in this thread does indeed have a song called "Jesus Or A Gun" on their first CD, so I'm guessing they're the same band since the odds of two different bands with similar names having a song with the exact same name are pretty slim.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Not when top 40 rock is involved. Fuel and Three Doors Down need to run into each other and cancel each other out.
