Guest curry_man2002 Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 not jus because the dvd is of a classic event like wrestlemania 17 but jus the way its a cool dvd to have . my pick is either wrestlemania 2000/history of mania (2 disc set) or best of RAW vol 1 and 2 (2 disc set)
Cran Da Maniac Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 3. We don't care what you know or what you don't...as long as you can convey your point like a person who speaks English at a somewhat coherent and intelligent level. I'm not asking for perfection when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation, but it comes a long way in allowing the rest of us to understand what you're saying. If this becomes an issue, you can be banned due to mod’s discretion. This is a place where people come to unwind, have fun, and/or debate about certain topics. We don't come here to spend precious time translating posts from Stupid-to-English. With that being said, I really have a soft spot in my heart for the Foley DVD's. I kind of like the format of Foley talking about the matches, then showing them, so you get an idea of why they're special.
pochorenella Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 From The Vault: Shawn Michaels Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops, in second place.
Downhome Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 It's times like this that I'm glad I'm not a mod.
Steviekick Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Ric Flair then Shawn Michaels. Same hear. Can't beat the combination of good build up, the wrestler's thoughts, and unclipped matches.
Guest Stunt Granny Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 curry man2002= lame attempt at recreating teh Sh0ckMaster I'm sure only 8% of you will know what I'm talking about.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Guys I think Curryman was actually *TRYING* to spell those words wrong. Those don't seem like typos and you can still see what he's trying to say. I don't have too many WWE DVDs that are not of the PPV events which I am assuming don't count in this poll, so I will have to say Bloodbath. It was well worth it, even though it would've been nice if they released full matches and cut a lot of the others out and saved for another volume in the near future!
Tawren Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Ric Flair or Bloodbath. Nothing else comes close.
CanadianChick Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Flair. Hopefully, the new Benoit one coming out will be my new favorite.
therealworldschampion Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 The Flair and Foley DVDs, hopefully the Bret and Horsemen ones will be up there too curry man2002= lame attempt at recreating teh Sh0ckMaster I'm sure only 8% of you will know what I'm talking about. I used to post at the old forum, I miss teh Shockmaster and his Corey Nadine pics.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Ric Flair or Bloodbath. Nothing else comes close. Ditto. The Stone Cold Truth has some nice extras as well to make it on the honorary mentions list.
therealworldschampion Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I also loved Bloodbath, not only for the matches, but for the little things, including David Crockett's horrible announcing, the GARVIN STOMP OF DOOM, and Vince's fake laugh at the beginning of the Bret/Owen match
therealworldschampion Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 I just remembered something that might make the Foley DVD the best DVD EVER. You guessed it......Vince dancing after the Foley/Funk match
Guest Dave Canadian Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 It'll take a while to watch the Flair DVD. I only schemed through a few chapters. Rey Mysterio DVD is good but not great. I have this Wrestlemania 2000 DVD from the Wrestlemania 2000 book. That's the best so far.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 It'll take a while to watch the Flair DVD. I only schemed through a few chapters. Rey Mysterio DVD is good but not great. I have this Wrestlemania 2000 DVD from the Wrestlemania 2000 book. That's the best so far. I disqualified it from my list since it's a SUPER-CLIPPED DOWN VERSION of Wrestlemania All Day Long that ran Eight Hours before WM 2000.
Jebus Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Hulk Still Rules It unfortunately doesn't have the buildup like Flair's DVD but still the collection of matches is great (mixed bag of rare and famous matches) and it was pretty fun to watch considering I hadn't seen about 50% of the bouts.
JJMc Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Hulk Still Rules It unfortunately doesn't have the buildup like Flair's DVD but still the collection of matches is great (mixed bag of rare and famous matches) and it was pretty fun to watch considering I hadn't seen about 50% of the bouts. I like the Hulk one. You know, people always talk shit about Hogan, but I really think he is cool to listen to when he's just doing the studio interviews like this and not the "c'mon, stop cheering" bullshit in the ring. -Jim
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 In the spirit of this thread I am going with Teh Utlimite Rick FLeair collection is my favorite.
Si82 Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection. How can you beat over nine hours of Flair. Honourary Mentions: Mick Foley - Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops nWo: Back in Black Hulk Still Rules Rey Mysterio: 619 Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches Mick Foley's Greatest Hits & Misses The Monday Night War
Guest SpiderFan Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Ultimate Flair is my favourite, but I really liked Monday Night Wars too. Shawn/Austin vs. Owen/Bulldog is a great tag match, Cornette's quasi shoot interview was gold, and parts of the main feature were interesting.
tbondrage99 Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Ive yet to see Flairs DVD, but plan on buying it when I get the chance, but right now I have to go with Hulk Still Rules.
Drury37 Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 In my mind WWE The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection is definitely the best WWE DVD ever. Thanks.
