RavishingRickRudo Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Dan, you're scrambling and contradicting your original post. You said Eddie and JBL gave "stellar performances", then you say you use the word stellar to describe your satisfaction. You say you rated it on your enjoyment, but the only real time you mentioned your enjoyment in your original post was when you said you were "very happy" with it, which was at the end. Then, in your last post, you used words like "good start" "okayish in the middle" to describe the majority of the match... what happened to "excellent" "work his magic" and "wonderful"? As for me nitpicking, DH said something stupid, I wanted that explained to me. It's a hobby, really.
Downhome Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 What is so stupid about saying that I thought the show was average and that I didn't flat out hate anything on it? I thought some stuff was way below average, most was average, and the main event was great. That to me ends up being an average PPV.
SuperJerk Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Damn. Reminds me of Charlton Heston at the end of The Omega Man.
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Dude, you said PERFECTLY average and said that you not hating anything was always good. As if "hey, this didn't SUCK therefore it was AMAZING~!" and how anything average can be seen as "perfect" is beyond me. Newsflash, average isn't a good thing.
Guest sanyo Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Hey does anyone know where I can download the Dawn Marie/Torrie match? Any sites?
Downhome Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 I didn't say average was a good or great things. Just that it was just like any other PPV that I'd see, it was a-v-e-r-a-g-e as a whole with a great main event. My saying "perfectly average" is just a figure of speech saying that it was just as average as one could expect. Why in the world do you make things so hard for you to understand?
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Hey does anyone know where I can download the Dawn Marie/Torrie match? Any sites? I suggest you take an interest in playboys or other forms of pornography.

Gandering at quasi-celebrity booty > gandering at porn star booty (or in the case of Playboy, wannabe models/actresses booty). Just saying.
Guest sanyo Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 The only reason I want to see it because of Dawn Marie. She is the hottest diva and anything with her in it (in this case her pants ripping off is not a bad thing ). I also want to see JBL and Eddie cause I heard Eddie stole the show. I know there are sites where you can download the PPV's so anybody that can provide a link, that would be great.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Jesus Christ. Yeah, the PTC would probably have a legitimate gripe here. But those whining cunts can go to hell anyway. Seriously, who were was expecting such a bloodbath heading into this match?

You're referring to Torrie Wilson at the end there? If you were at the SmackDown! taping that night and/or found a way to see an unedited video, you would've seen Dawn's breasts. And Dawn was wearing a g-string at Judgment Day, which isn't classed as "naked", because even though you see just as much as a bare ass (which is essentially what it is), it's legal for a woman walk down the street in a g-string (and top of some sorts), but illegal to walk down the street covering everything but her ass.
Guest sanyo Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 I don't know here in Ontario Canada its legal for women to walk around topless. Dawn is the hottest diva. Torrie is just another blonde bimbo who, on top of that, can't act worth a damn. Dawn is a beautiful lady who could be girlfriend material. Torrie is just fuck material and I've seen hottest women at my gym then Torrie.
King Cucaracha Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Jesus Christ. Yeah, the PTC would probably have a legitimate gripe here. But those whining cunts can go to hell anyway. Seriously, who were was expecting such a bloodbath heading into this match? Well...not to the extent that it was, but I was expecting they'd go that route. The main event was great, and I've got to agree with Meltzer about the comparison with a strong Mexican match. The heat was there. The blood was there. The pacing was handled well, and the story from Smackdowns past was kept running. The main thing though was the fact it was believable. It was everything Angle/Eddie at Mania should have been in terms of intensity. They supposedly hated each other...until the bell rung, and they suddenly didn't want to tear each other apart, instead having a technical match. Luckily, they didn't make the same mistake this time.
deancoles Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Mordecai needs to lose the Jeff Jarrett look from 1995.
haVoc Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Yeah, they could have given him an updated look. Give him white leather pants w/ designs on them instead of the long plain white tights that go up to his chin.
humongous2002 Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 There was a ppv yesterday and I have no regrets missing it, and this is from a guy that has a black box to watch free ppvs.
Guest Loss Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Um, sanyo is banned. Sorry it didn't happen before now.
haVoc Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Loss, it would be appreciated if you could stay within the topic of the thread. Thank you.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Fear Havoc, you and your avatar got the biggest laugh out of me all night. KC, I agree with you about Eddy/Angle. But remember, Bradshaw gave Eddy's mother a "heart attack" to add to the intensity, and it's not as if they'd have a brawl as a WrestleMania main event, especially not involving Eddy Guerrero and Kurt Angle. And sanyo, whether or not you're reading this, I think it's illegal for women to walk around topless pretty much anywhere...
Slickster Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 And sanyo, whether or not you're reading this, I think it's illegal for women to walk around topless pretty much anywhere... No, it's legal for public toplessness in ON and in several US states (including NY).
KTID Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Sorry, but why was the man banned? For thinking Dawn Marie's hot? By gawd we are getting strict.
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 Report of Eddie's condition from the Observer web page Eddy Guerrero was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after Judgment Day last night after going into shock from blood loss. He won't be wrestling tonight, but the feeling is he's okay now.
Guest Quik Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 "Eddie, listen. We really need to get JBL over, so we've realized there's only one way to do it: we need you to bleed heavily. Almost to the point of death. You're a team player, right? Allright! Go Eddie!"
King Cucaracha Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 After re-watching the match, I have to say that chair shot Eddie took is SICK. He deserves a lot of credit for having the cajones to take that and to blade so heavily. However, it's not surprising but slightly saddening that Bradshaw's not getting a lick of credit. It was the best performance of his career...obviously, seeing as there's not a lot of competition. But still. He bumped and sold for Eddie, he didn't use the chinlock excessively, he didn't have the suckfest match everyone was predicting. Not to mention the fact he wasn't blown up at the end of the match as everyone was predicting. The match was great. And that's not SOLELY down to Eddie. He deserves the majority of the credit don't get me wrong. It's just typical that Bradshaw gets totally ignored, despite showing a damn sight more than everyone here (including me) expected.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 First Orton, now Bradshaw. Putting people over by putting them against talented people willing to die.
Guest glennsoe Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 FROM 1WRESTLING.COM; "The Cruiserweight's we've talked to were happy to see Chavo Guerrero Jr regain the title last night, but were still disgusted that the belt was put on Jacquelyn to begin with. Sources tell us the decision to put the Cruiserweight belt on Jacquelyn left veterans in the lockerroom, including Undertaker, shaking their head in amazement." * See the locker room do care........shame that the writers, bookers and the McMahon family doesn't
Tawren Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 I downloaded Eddy/Bradshaw, out of curiousity to see if it was as good as you guys said. Definitely an...interesting match. Eddy bleeding is quite the sight. Not quite as good as previously stated in the thread, but still some neat stuff. The mindless brawling at points really bored me. **1/4
