Bad Blood Main Event announced on radio ad

Recommended Posts

The title match should always be the main event I dont care if its Essa Rios defending the world title against Mighty Mouse, it should always be the last match on the card.

So Bob Holly vs. Brock Lesnar should have gone on last at Rumble?

You raise a good point.

Ok it should be the last match at every PPV but the Royal Rumble.

Count me in as one who doesn't want to see the 1001st iteration of The MegaCliquers Collide. I don't care if it's in Hell in a Cell, the Elimination Chamber, a barbed wire snakepit or an abandoned three-story tenement set on fire. I didn't care for either of their previous matches, and putting them in a cage won't matter for me either.

Feh.

as long as it keeps both of them busy and not trying to to cling onto Benoit and his world title.

The thing is that Christian also has a real chance of moving up the card to a World Title Match according to what people around here have been saying. I'm not so sure its a bad idea to work towards a 'double main event' if you have an unproven commodity taking on the World Champion. Its not a bad idea to give the PPV other things to sell so we don't get swamped in another Bradshaw situation where the main event is a possible tanker.

To be honest, I'd be interested to see Benoit vs. Christian myself. Thing is, I'm worried that if Christian gets the shot against Benoit, then that leaves Jericho against either Trish or Tomko. Both of which will likely tank.

I'd dig Benoit/Jericho/XTain for the title too, if it didn't mean another triple threat for Benoit.

Im even more shocked Triple Hisn't in the World Title Match of a PPV. If my memory is correct, he's been in the World Title Match @ a PPV every month since...Summerslam 2002

He wrestled HBK on a Street Fight at SS2002. He didn't have the World Title yet, I think (please correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, no title was on the line on that match.

..Wait, I'm not watching the PPV.

Have fun, losers!

I just can't resist...

Ha! I was exactly right last night in the RAW thread! Whoooooooooooooo!

Trips/HBK in the cell, and probably Benoit/X.

It's better that it's the main event. If you have Benoit/Y2J, with 2 faces, the crowd will end up dead, and it would totally bomb. HBK/HHH is also pretty big because it finally proves who the real #1 contender is for Benoit's belt. Either way, i'd prefer a Triple Threat Benoit/Y2J/Christian and place HBK/HHH in the Main Event. Christian isn't ready for the Main Event, and unless your placed with The Rock or Austin, face vs. face matches are not good to end a card after a hell in a cell match.

....That's what I just said. Summerslam 2002 was the LAST PPV he didn't have a World title Match. (not counting SD only PPVs)

This makes me think they'll go with Christian/Benoit. It makes perfect sense, if you ask me.

Michaels does a run-in during Shelton/HHH, giving Shelton a third win and costing Trips a match that hurts his pride. HHH could win the match and then have Michaels attack, either works for me, but Shelton getting the win puts more heat on a HHH/Shelton match, down the line. Then next week they set up the HIAC.

Bischoff could announce that the Cage match will be a #1 Contenders match, but more than likely X will just ask for a title match on the next show and get it after beating Jericho. Jericho/Christian have a Cage match, Tomko and possibly Trish interfer. Christian wins and goes on to face Benoit. Jericho then works his way back to Christian, by dealing with the 'problem solver'.

Double ME it up and that way you protect Benoit and Christian. It gives Benoit a clean single win, Christian some ME level credibility and continues the X/Jericho feud without them actually having matches, so that Jericho can finally win whatever stip they want for the blowoff and THEN he has to finally get his revenge on Trish by putting her in the Walls. You can interchange the timing of revenge on Christian or Trish depending on which you think will get the biggest pop. I'm going with Trish in the Walls.

Oh yeah, Jericho needs to get a man sized beatdown in the cage. With him bleeding like a stuck pig and Christian making out with Trish, then doing his chest slap taunt, rubbing Jericho's blood onto his stomach, while Tomko does his best original Kevin Nash impression.

My big concern is Jericho. It looks as if he'll get his one title shot a year and then go back to the midcard/comedy acts, so I'd MUCH rather him and Benoit kill eachother in a 40 minute classic that makes both look like gold rather than Jericho finally getting his next title shot program with the newly crowned heel champ HHH and getting his ass handed to him. The best thing would be Jericho/Benoit at Bad Blood and Xian be a side feud that Benoit wins (ala Goldberg/Xian) during the Vengeance month.

I believe that title matches should go on last, regardless of who is fighting for them.

I also believe that they should build up credible champions and challengers so they don't have complete chumps in the main event (like Holly).

That's Eddie's problem: his big challenger is Boredshaw. If he had a credible challenger, Smackdown would be a lot better than it is.

Why worry about him. Jericho's got bullet proof heat and Christian doesn't. I know Jericho is Trips bitch, but bitter blood feuds lead to title shots for faces. It's a fact of life and normally they win. Eh, well see what happens, but Jericho/HHH has been on the back burners for a year or two now and might be interesting to see again.

Vince is so going to insert himself in at Vengeance as the big heel challenger.

i believe that more than any other speculation. see i love wwe wrestling but its getting harder and harder for me to spend money on it. I HATE HBK and always have same with triple h. if i want to watch these guys i want to see them get their ass kicked not bleed all over each other

This whole Tomko thing makes me wonder if in fact it's Jericho who will be getting the shot at Bad Blood. Traditional booking style says that "Heel brings in bodyguard to take out face, face must take out bodyguard before he gets to heel" and Jericho hasn't taken out Tomko yet. Bischoff says that the cage match will decide things once and for all, I say not likely.

Also, where do the tag titles fit into all of this? Because from what I can see there are no current angles for them to do involving Canadian Violence 2.0

I really have no interest in seeing the 100th meeting of HHH and Michaels stroking each others cock and thinking they're Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat. Then Ric Flair himself will go out and say HHH is the best in the world and Shawn was the best of the 90s and they will all be involved in a circle jerk. Evertime Shawn Michaels is in a main event I die a little inside. Now, personal feelings aside, I'm sure it will be a good match with both blading, thus adding an extra 2 stars in everyones match rating.

Give me a good Benoit/Jericho 2 out of 3 falls match as the focus of the show.

Because the last one was so good </sarcasm> Embarrassingly rushed.

Judgment Day 2002. Triple H vs. Jericho HIAC. It didn't close the PPV (though in retrospect, it should have considering the crappy Taker / Hogan match that did go on last).

Maybe it's because I'm an optimist but I don't see any need to start bitching about who gets top billing when no matches have even been announced on TV as of yet.

It's just pure speculation, but maybe:

HHH vs. HBK (HIAC)

Benoit vs. Christian

Orton vs. Benjamin

Edge vs. Batista

Jericho vs. Tomko

Kane vs. Hardy & Lita ?

Then some more of the usual filler

Once again, it's a show that could be good if the top three matches deliver. I guess if the HIAC match bombs the show will suck... but like Cawthon said, it's probably bit too early to bitch quite yet.

I personally don't understand why Jericho shouldn't face Benoit for the title at RAW's Bad Blood. Jericho has paid his dues for well over a decade, just like Benoit & Guererro. Why shouldn't Jericho get his chance to shine in a main event World Title match with Benoit at Bad Blood? Christian still isn't quite ready for the main event just yet. He still needs a little more build up, if you ask me. Jericho & Benoit have put on classic matches in the past. So, what makes you guys think that they would be able to put on another one for the World Heavyweight Title at the next RAW PPV?

The way I see it is this. Jericho & Benoit can play up their past together leading up to Bad Blood. They can talk about how both men wrestled all over the world for well over a decade, and how they have paid their dues to get where they are today. Jericho beats Christian inside the cage after Benoit comes down and thwarts off the interference of Trish & Tomko. Jericho wins, and becomes the No. #1 Contender for the World Title at Bad Blood, and then it all continues from there.

Either way, I don't see why Jericho can't headline a RAW PPV with Benoit in a World Title match.

I don't get where Jericho vs Beniot is coming from? Yeah it would be a good match but I don't see it happening unless the Jericho vs Christian is a #1 contenders match on Monday. If anything if monday is the last of Jericho vs Christian we're probably gonna see Jericho vs Tomko.

So far, every PPV this year has produced a MOTYC.

I have a feeling that particular run will be broken fairly soon, barring some Cruiserweight-based miracle at Judgement Day.

Christian needs to be in the main event like Stacy Keibler needs a boob job.

He's just fine where he is.
