Mr. S£im Citrus Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 ... in fact I chose it over Boy Scouts when my troop degenerated into a bunch of ot heads sitting around and doing nothing all night... A bunch of what?
Damaramu Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I watched it.....loved it. I'm going to miss this show. I've seen every episode and it's going to be weird not having new ones......just like when Seinfeld went off the air. *sigh* One question I have is............why is everyone freaking over Monica and Chandler moving? It's not like they aren't in driving distance! I guess since they aren't right across the hall.....but still. Anyways good show.....some funny moments. Good ending. I'm going to miss it a lot. I also think it's become "cool" to bash Friends......sad really.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 So, any thoughts on when the next tme we'll see them together ? My guess was, depending on how "Joey" does in the ratings, they'll do a big hour long special during "Sweeps" week for Ross and Rachel's Wedding or something. Well, that's what i'd do.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I ended up not watching it and it doesn't sound like I missed a thing. Joey will be cancelled 4 episodes into season 2. Scrubs should be getting the post Friends god push, but noooo.
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 How the hell did they get the OK to use part of a Pearl Jam song on the show?
Guest El Satanico Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I can't picture Vedder being a fan of the show, but crazier things have happened.
pochorenella Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Can somebody who actually watched the show tell me what happened after Rachel came back from the airport? My stupid VCR stopped right after that so I'm blank as to what went on from then. How the hell did they get the OK to use part of a Pearl Jam song on the show? Vedder must be a fan, no doubt.
C Dubya 04 Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Not too much happened after that. THey were all in the empty apartment talking about how they had all lived there at one point or another and all left their keys on the counter. Then left to get coffee. I can't believe that people wanted it to end on a sad note or something. It's not meant to be that way. Not everything has to be all artsy shit, some things can just be happy.
pochorenella Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 So basically all I missed was the last group hug, and maybe the actors saying goodbye/thanks to the audience? Still, pretty enjoyable show IMO. That "Fillange" (sp?) stuff on the plane was pretty funny, and the twins surprise was a nice one. I think the show ended on a good note. I can't believe some people wanted a sad finish. Must be those non-fans or "Friends"-haters.
Slayer Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 How the hell did they get the OK to use part of a Pearl Jam song on the show? Vedder must be a fan, no doubt. Or they paid him money
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Or they made a donation to 1 of their causes. Supposedly, Aniston is a big PJ fan, so maybe that played a part.
haVoc Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Please, Eddie Vedder tries to push himself off as this mysterious, cool, dark musician, but he's really a goofy bastard. Vedder Phoebe
Guest Redhawk Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 I read that the show was originally gonna end last season, with Rachel dying during childbirth and the friends adopting her baby. Oh wait, I read that in the Star. So it was probably just made up. I also don't see why everyone wanted something "shocking" to happen. It's a sitcom. Shocking things don't happen on sitcoms. If you want shocking endings, watch dramas.
bob_barron Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 The finale was just what I expected. They gave the fans what they wanted and it was nice and schmaltzy. They got me with the last Chandler and Joey scene. That was sad.
Youth N Asia Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Taped it while watching Smackdown. Just finished it. Good final. Although I still can't make myself care for Ross and Rachael together
Steve J. Rogers Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Someone needs to remind Rachel she has a daughter, and I doubt Monica and Chandler would leave the twins alone in their apartment for more than 10 seconds, let along the time it took Monica to dismantle the fuseball table. She was mentioned, she was going to Paris a few days later with Rachel's mom
Guest Choken One Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 leaving Ross without his daughter? Wouldn't it make more sense if Ross kept her...considering he is "home" and already is partially raising Ben neways....that pissed me off actually...they should had ben on the show...and Marcel too.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 I miss the show already...
Renegade Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 What a steaming pile of shit. I love how they no sold Emma with a few lines. Also the vultures got the babies that they wanted, huzzah!
Steviekick Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 leaving Ross without his daughter? Wouldn't it make more sense if Ross kept her...considering he is "home" and already is partially raising Ben neways....that pissed me off actually...they should had ben on the show...and Marcel too. That pissed me off, too. The whole last episodes with Rachel deciding to go to Paris, she showed no concern or mention at all about the daughter. Definitely a mother of the year candidate. And I as pissed off that Gunter wasn't involved at all in the finale.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Once again, you whining about the little things. Gunther was in the finale, he finally told Rachel he loved her.
