Mik 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 War movie between cowboys and aliens.... Sony is developing a new film called Cowboys and Aliens which will be about a war between, you guessed it, cowboys and aliens. The film will be set in the Old West and be about cowboys and Indians putting their problems aside to save the world from an alien invasion. teke184 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 It still may have smaller plot holes than Battlefield: Earth...
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 That doesn't really sound bad, if they want to make it fun. It certainly could be, but I wouldn't say so based on the concept. Aliens and the Old West can be a smooth cocktail if mixed properly. There's just too things it shouldn't be: 1. Subtle. Don't talk to the aliens of have them hiding in the woods or something. Go with ships, and lazers and all that stuff. 2. Feel-Good. None of the Independence Day 'people rule, up with Earth' stuff. Just let em fight.
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 13, 2004 How can you saw it might be the worst movie ever when Soul Plane, Garfield, and White Chicks are coming out soon?

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Soul Plane Well, I haven't seen a trailer or anything, but that has a pretty slick poster. Except for Tom Arnold.

Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 sounds like it might be kindof a Mars Attacks! type movie
Guest Fook Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Exactly. As long as they go the Mars Attacks! route and treat everything as super cheesy, then this movie should be fine.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 The trailer for SOUL PLANE made me question the existance of a God. IF its anything like the commerical version on TV then I agree.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I have a feeling this may be one of those black things that TSM just doesn't get. But I could be wrong.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Don't even try to make such a bold, presumption where battle-scarred MiSTies and b-movie fans could see it. As mentioned, it could be a camp Mars Attacks! style movie, like Killer Tomatoes and so forth. I doubt Sony would let loose a movie anywhere near as bad as a Coleman Francis film or a Manos-ish work. Besides, it may be a hell of a lot better than Independence Day.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Who is in the director and cast? Can't be worst than Pootie Tang!
Guest Smues Report post Posted May 13, 2004 The trailer for SOUL PLANE made me question the existance of a God. When I saw the trailer for Soul Plane, Garfield, and White Chicks all in a row at one movie I realized there was no god, and life is just a big joke.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 13, 2004 let's not talk about Pootie Tang. This cowboy thing doesn't sound bad at all honestly. I mean obviously there's potential for bad, but it'll probably be gloriously stupid like Mars Attacks, an excellent film in my opinion.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 13, 2004 The only bad thing I see is the title. Cowboys and Aliens is a lame title. The only way this will turn out truly bad is if they try to make it completely serious. Taking a wonderfully absurd plot and turning it into a movie without a sense of humor is suicide. I don't see the big problem with Soul Plane. I don't expect too much from it, but it doesn't look as bad as y'all talk. The only real problem I had with the trailer was the totally out of place pasty corn fed white people. All and all it's a movie I'd have no reserves about watching on HBO. Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Stop hating on Pootie Tang. Yeah it is incredibly stupid, but it is still a very funny movie. Funny in the sense that it was a comedy that, much like the sketch that spawned it, is only funny for a few minutes and then is dead from then on. Daddy Tang, Pootie's Silent single...thats all the funny this movie had. Soul Plane... ... Snoop Dogg is a white supremist Robot. White Chicks. ... Hollywood just hates black people and finds joy in mocking us in such films.
