Guest glennsoe Report post Posted May 13, 2004 We can an unconfirmed report from someone who said they saw a satellite feed and this is the Judgment Day show: *Eddy Guerrero vs. JBL for the WWE title *Undertaker vs. Booker T *John Cena vs. Rene Dupree for U.S. title *Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero (with one hand tied behind his back) for cruiserweight title *Sable vs. Dawn Marie *Mordecai vs. mystery opponent From tonight's TV, it appears also Rico & Charlie Haas vs. Bob Holly & Billy Gunn for the tag titles and Rey Mysterio & RVD vs. Dudleys. Anyway, I hope to get a confirmation on how much of this line-up is and isn't legit and we'll update it in this spot later today if we can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyone want to bet that Mordecai slaughters a cruiserweight ?? Paul London or Shannon Moore or Jamie Knoble are my picks....
BHK 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 At least the show has matches now. I still wouldm't be surprised by an abnormally low buyrate though
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Wow I cant decide if this PPV will be Craptactular or just plain Craptastic. Im betting Mordecai's mystery opponent will be the super generic Orlando Jordan.
Styles 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Why, yes this does look like the worst lineup for a WWE PPV ever, why do you ask? Oh, you didn't ask. That's still just 6 matches none of which I can see going very long, so they'll need to scrape up a couple more. If this was coming live to my town I don't think I'd even want to GO. JN News 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I think that Vince actually wants this Smackdown PPV to fail. I think it's all part of Vince's master plan to ultimately bury Smackdown, and put it on the shelf, forever. The only reason why Vince created Smackdown in the first place is because he needed a Thursday show to combat WCW Thunder. Now that WCW is long gone, he probably feels that he no longer has any use for Smackdown, whatsoever and is trying to slowly kill it by making it suck. Plus, RAW is Vince's baby. He created it, and it's been around for 11 years.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Sable vs. Dawn Marie? Um...has Sable even been on TV period since Wrestlemania?~! Mordecai vs. Spike Dudley. What a PPV match. Rico/Haas vs. The S.U.C.K (no, that doesn't stand for anything) A Velocity match on the PPV? Jacquelin vs. Chavo: Holy uninteresting crap Batman! Someone needs to hire a hitman to take out Stephanie. RVD/Rey vs. Dudleys: We just saw this on SD, and it wasn't that good. So we pay $35 to see it AGAIN?! UT vs. Booker T: Nothing good can come out of this. Either Taker squashes him, or Booker wins with an over-the-top-TNA-style amount of run ins. Cena/Dupree: Last time Cena fought another OVW-ite on PPV, it lead to a craptastic fifteen minute match. (versus Brock Lesnar that is) Eddie/Bradshaw: Bradshaw can't even be carried to good matches. That is all that can be said. Judgment Day on paper looks god-awful, and from what we can conclude, it's going to live up to the hype as one of the worst PPV's ever. Speaking of terrible PPV's, is it me, or has Judgment Day been a pretty bad PPV for the last few years? 2002 had RVD/Eddie and some crap, 2003 had...Brock/Show? But 2004 will definitely surpass them both.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Maybe it'll be Mordecai squashing Paul London...since that's who he was squashing on the house shows recently. London on PPV in a 3 minute squash! Whoooooooooooooooooooooo! Yeah, this card looks horrible. But I'm still going to pool in to get the webcast. I'll just need to be drunk as I watch it. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Bold Unrelated Prediction: Scott Keith busts out the fire pokers up the ass to rate matches. Bold Prediction Number Two: Bradshaw will win the title. (Everyone probably has this thought floating around in their minds, and knowing how Vince thinks, he wouldn't hesitate for a second to put the strap on him. (Everyone probably has this thought floating around in their minds, and knowing how Vince thinks, he wouldn't hesitate for a second to put the strap on him. Sadly, I can see this happening, too... At the very least I see the match being a DQ finish or something like that to build to a blowoff at the GAB.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Please, don't mention the word "blowoff feud" when it has anything to do with both Bradshaw and the World Title on PPV.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 This thing is so going to get the worst buyrate in WWE history by a huge margain. I mean, this couldn't POSSIBLY do better than Armageddon 2003 or No Way Out 2004, right? It couldn't do better than "It's Time", right? There's no way 300,000 would buy this PPV...right? The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 *Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero (with one hand tied behind his back) for cruiserweight title So if she wins, he looks like absolute shit, and she doesn't look much better, because all she did was beat a guy with one hand tied behind his back. But if he wins, he looks like shit because all he did was beat a woman, and she looks like shit because she lost to a guy with one arm behind his back. Best of all, it's for the FUCKING CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE. How does this make ANYONE look good?

I don't know....some people will buy the PPV's because... A.) They are rich scumbags who can afford to throw away $35 a shot just for the hell of it. B.) Completionists that must have each show who just watch for enjoyment. C.) Bradshaw fans. (All two of them. Himself and Vince McMahon)
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 *Eddy Guerrero vs. JBL for the WWE title Eddie will carry him to a decent match. The crowd will be hot for this one. *Undertaker vs. Booker T Will be a decent match if its not a squash which I don't think it will be. Much better than their No Mercy 2001 bout. Fans will be behind Taker of course. *John Cena vs. Rene Dupree for U.S. title They have good chemistry in the ring, IMO. Crowd will also be hot for this. *Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero (with one hand tied behind his back) for cruiserweight title Fuck Jacqueline. Fuck Stephanie McMahon. Fuck WWE management. DUD *Sable vs. Dawn Marie Bikini Contest just like last year. Yawn. *Mordecai vs. mystery opponent It'll be Paul London. Mordecai has a fancy intro. It'll be a squash. From tonight's TV, it appears also Rico & Charlie Haas vs. Bob Holly & Billy Gunn for the tag titles Yay, Rico makes it onto his first American PPV in a serious role this time. I'm hoping his gay antics will come through to get him and Charlie over for the match. Rey Mysterio & RVD vs. Dudleys. Should be the opener. Crowd will be hot for this one. I expect this PPV to be an average show. It won't be the trainwreck everyone is expecting I can guarantee that.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Why do you have Mordechai scheduled to wrestle a "mystery opponent" when he is going to win anyway? Just throw a name out there.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Why do you have Mordechai scheduled to wrestle a "mystery opponent" when he is going to win anyway? Just throw a name out there. It's called an Open Challenge. Which is what I'll call it from now on, soince technically I only said "???" before.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Oh boy... There was that little bit of faith that I had for them maybe pulling it out of the hole it was in, but, FUCK, I sound like a dickhead speaking rationally. And what the fuck happened on SmackDown! this week to warrant a "match" (those quotation marks are an oft-used cliche there - how about "steaming pile of shit"? Yeah, a bit les) between Sable and Dawn Marie!?
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Fuck Stephanie McMahon. No shortage of volunteers on that one. I wouldn't watch this card on a Smackdown TV show. At then there'd be a chance they might show an entertaining commercial.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 a ***** match...Two matches hitting ***. That was a good card. People insist it sucks because of the main event. Agreed. Just because the main event sucked (and lasted all of 8 minutes), the other 2.5 hours must've sucked too.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2004 I didn't say it SUCKED... I said it wasn't that memorable. Plus, no tag titles on the line. That's a few points down in my opinion.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 14, 2004 Oh, good point. Still was a VERY solid show overall. But why weren't the tag titles on the line? I'm pretty sure niether Owen or Yoko were injured at the time. Or maybe its because the Tag Division consisted of maybe 4 teams at the time.
