It's too much gimmick for any random viewer to understand. Not to mention that most of the gimmick was stolen from ATH/PTI. Poor Max, he was good on ATH.

Maybe it was my TV, but I was half-assed paying attention to I,MAX and I kept hearing this little weird noise every couple of minutes. Like some computer bleep-sounding thing.

The warning buzzer has a really odd sound to it, probably that.

So yeah I was channel surfing and just came accross I,Maxx finally. After two minutes of this I flipped to the Tony awards. Tony Awards > I,Maxx. That's just sad.

and he brought the worst ATH regular with him, Michael Holly sucks...now if it were woody or plaschke it would be alright, MAYBE mariotti...

 

side note: did anyone else get that same weird vibe one got when guys like Hogan, Savage, Hall, Nash and Bret Hart jumped over to WCW and showed up on WCW TV when they first saw I, Max?

You want Reverand Bill on the show? Yuck. Now personally I'd love it because it'd get him off ATH. I'll trade Bill to get Holly back anyday, I miss Holly. And is the other guy on the show (I didn't catch his name, wolf or something like that?) the disembodied voice? It sounds like him, but he just sounds slighty different to me, and he's incredibly ugly too. I didn't think it was possible Max's ego to be worse than it was on ATH, but god he succeeded on I, MAX. The whole show is just to show off how cool he is (or thinks he is). I can't see it lasting that long.

yes, it's the same guy that did "disembodied voice"...i think Plaschke is funny, because he always tries to be the holy roller of the bunch, all you ever got from Holly was "THE ohio state buckeyes!!!!"...besides Bob Ryan and Michael Smith blow Holly away on ATH as far as Boston Globe guys go...

I, Max is still better than ATH, by the way.

only because Tony Reali (sp?) is a complete and utter tool of a man...but woody more than makes up for it...

I still don't know what I think of the show.

 

Kellerman is way over his head when he actually has to debate with someone. You can really tell he has limited knowledge of any sport once it gets out of New York.

You've got to be kidding me. Kellerman is completely in over his head when he actually has to give his opinions on something other than boxing. The only reason he doesn't lose everytime is because Wolfe keeps most of the contests within a point no matter what. Hell, Kellerman couldn't even beat the Kilchiko's this week. When you can't out debate a boxer you know you have no business doing this type of show.

Notice I didn't give a quote about Max showing off sports knowledge, but one about entertainment, which he provides a lot more of than any panelist. He must have some sports knowledge, because he's been absolutely right about the Pistons ever since the series started, but I don't know anything about sports either, I just watch to be entertained, not enlightened.

shiiiiiit i'm a Chappelle mark bro...no i interpreted that as him saying Chappelle isn't as funny as Jack Black...i find Jack Black rather annoying and pretty much all of his movie are as well...but I WILL say that Tenacious D is funny shit and Shallow Hal was okay, otherwise the man is overrated...Chappelle owns his ass...

 

I actually think Reali is getting better with this gig...what's the story behind him being away from the show for a week? he was on PTI that week wasn't he? maybe his job was in jeopardy and that week off lit a fire under his ass?

I thought Tony said Stat Boy was on vacation so they were off the hook. Wouldn't know for today because they're pre-empted for GOLF. GOLF, people!

I like Tim Cowlishaw, but he gets muted when he dares to mention the NHL. And Tony Reali is back, which sucks, and the new Disembodied Voice is AWFUL

I SWORE this said "Tony Reali is black, which sucks" when I read it the first time.
