Guest glennsoe Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, once considered a wrestling prodigy due to his in-ring presence and mind for the business, has been on a downward spiral over the past few years due to nagging injuries and a drug problem. His troubled relationship with Joanie "Chyna" Laurer didn't help the situation. However, Waltman, finally spoke to some of his old wresting friends at Judgment Day. Despite being in a state of problems with friend Triple H, due to the fact that he was dating HHH's ex-girlfriend, HHH greeted Waltman with a hug and they caught up on a lot backstage at the PPV. It seems that the heat they once had due to Laurer has faded. There are already rumors going around that WWE is interested in giving Waltman another shot with WWE, although it likely would not be in a full-time wrestling role. WWE has qualms about signing Waltman right now, including his drug problem, baggage, and relationship with Joanie Laurer (which may or may not be over). Right now, there is huge demand amongst former wrestlers for backstage roles in WWE, but Waltman has "stroke" with decision-makers and backstage influences, including the McMahon family, which may help his case. Either way, nothing has been signed yet, but it's possible Waltman may one day be working with WWE again. [source: PWTorch.com Newsletter] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes or No ?? I'm undecided at the moment....
TheFranchise Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Yes. I never really was one of the haters of X-Pac.
Guest Loss Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 When he's focused, he's as good at anyone at the WWE style, but he's rarely focused and he wins too much, choosing to rely on his friends to elevate him instead of his talent. That said, this comes from the Torch, a newsletter notorious for pimping X-Pac, so unless we hear other sheets mention this as a possibility, I'm willing to bet that it's just Wade helping a friend out more than it is something being considered.

That is NOT what the backstage area needs, another Kliq member that has been known for his weirdness, drug problems, attitude, etc......hopefully, they tell him to fuck off.
Guest OraleHolmes Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! His negative heat melts my television screen. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Hell fucking no. Multiplied by infinity. +1. Why does the WWE feel the need to act as a charity for has-been wrestlers, yet cut young (and inexpensive) guys because "creative had nothing for them"? I can sorta see Sting. While I'm against them bringing him in, there's a chance he could be somewhat of a draw. What does Waltman bring to the table that couldn't be done by someone younger & cheaper?
Guest OraleHolmes Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 We need to get an online petition signed or something.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 If he stays as motivated as he was during his TNA appearances I have no problem with X-Pac in the cruiserweight division.
justsoyouknow Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 We need to get an online petition signed or something. Heh. X-Pac should remain gone. The man was worthless during his previous run, and now, according to reports, he's even worse. Why bring in a dead horse?
1234-5678 Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 They'd go for the usual Kliq hijinks, we'd have HBK-Pac as the 2nd or 3rd top match on like 6 PPVs.
King Cucaracha Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Wait. So he went to bury the hatchet with Trips...and now he's possibly set for a comeback? Is the Torch really that desperate for stories nowadays?

Isn't it that Shawn only got along with Kevy and Hunts? I never completely got the whole KLIQ history but isn't like Kevin is aligned with Scott and Shawn... With Pac as Scott's buddy... Hunts as shawn's buddy... Let's us not forget the "Mini-Kliqsters" like Justin Credible, Bulldog(known to hang out with them), and Randy Orton (whom rides HHH's jock now)... So doubt we'll see Shawn/Pac matches although in 1994 they would have been ***** matches.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I find it HILARIOUS that people are saying things to the tune of "giving him a chance" and "never really disliked him" and "he's not bad"... IT'S FUCKING X-PAC. Remember, "X-Pac suck? X-Pac sucks?" "Boring..." "OH MAH GAWD King! That's...that's X-Pac! He's joined the nWo!" "oh no X-Pac stole Kane's girlfriend, Tori!" "Yo you dealin' with the X-Factor!" Let's not forget his little run-in to win the X-Divison Title in TNA. I advise this thread to be washed, burned, and closed before any WWE officials see it, and see any remote interest in bringing Sean Waltman back to television.

dubq Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 You can't count Randy Orton.. the kilq was long dead before he came along.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Let's not forget his little run-in to win the X-Divison Title in TNA. Yeah complete with two ***+ matches with AJ Styles to follow that up.
tbondrage99 Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I would have no real toubles if X-Pac was to make a come back, but only if he was in the Crusierweight division on Smackdown, and clean of all of his problems. That being said I dont think the WWE will bring him back and if they were to bring him back I think he would first need to spend some serious time in OVW and prove his worth all over again.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Let's not forget his little run-in to win the X-Divison Title in TNA. Yeah complete with two ***+ matches with AJ Styles to follow that up. Maybe because A.J. Styles is a very good, possibly great worker, and most matches he's had in TNA have been at least decent no matter who the opponent is. X-Pac CAN be a good worker, but he's a headache to everyone and if I recall, he pissed and moaned about doing Heat duty once, and forced writers to put him on RAW.
buffybeast Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 The problem I have with Xpac is that he doesn't realize he's a cruiser. When he was in WWF, he didn't want to wrestle other cruisers. He only wanted to wrestle big men because in his mind he was one of them. He also didn't seen to know his place on the wrestling totem pole. He's not a main eventer but thinks he is. I don't see what he could add to the WWE roster that they do not already have.
iggymcfly Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 I wouldn't mind at all if X-Pac came back. The only way it would go wrong is if they tried to immediately thrust him into a main event role. I think he'd do good as either a cruiser or an upper midcarder on Smackdown, where they're desperate for talent with name value and charisma, especially on the heel side. Also, I could see him doing a good job joining Evolution, as long as they make it clear that he's kind of the bitch of the group that nobody respects. It's gonna be tough to hold Evolution together after HHH leaves, and if they brought X-Pac in as the bitch, it might help people see Orton and Batista as legitimate leaders. Besides, that might get Flair out of the job boy role.

The thing is, D-X got him over to the levels of upper midcarder to the point where he was facing those guys night in and night out. Once that happened, his ego took over. Personally, I think Smackdown's in such a state that bringing in X-Pac couldn't do that much harm. He's capable of **ish matches with the right opponents, he's got somehwat of a name value, he can slot in to the upper-midcard heel range. RVD/X-Pac, Eddie/X-Pac and Rey/X-Pac would all be pretty decent matches. Nothing fantastic, but decent. Again...Smackdown is in such a state, people such as X-Pac, Sting and Konnan would give it some sort of a boost, despite not being ***** wrestlers and pretty old.
Enigma Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Three words: Grand Master Sexay. In other words, NO.
jester Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Sure, bring back X-punk. And why don't they give Nash and Hall chance number 7,862 too? "If you guys screw up this time, you're gone for good. And we really, really, really, really mean it this time. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 7,863 times, shame on me."

Guest INXS Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 The upside to this is that Waltman has charisma, is an established name and is a solid worker. The downside is that he thinks he's a heavyweight when infact he should be working cruiser and has a history of being a prick in the back. In short, i'd welcome Waltman back if the stuck him in the Cruiser division and he had zero backstage pull.
Guest EugeneMark Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 Noooooooooo!!!!!!! If X-Pac ever appears on my TV again I'll throw it out a window into the street. X-Pac still sucks.
