Finding Nemo...

Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20

I always hear somebody talk about how good this movie is. I feel like i'm the only one who hasn't seen it. I know Pixar usually means that's it's good, but is it THAT GOOD ? It's $12.99 at Circuit City, seems like a good deal. Is it worth a blind purchase ?

You know what to expect from the movie. If that sort of thing interests you, then you know what to do. The film is great, if you love this sort of thing, and the DVD is top notch.

If I didn't already have it I'd be jumping all over that $12.99 deal.

If you like those kind of movies, yes - without question.

In my opinion, it was the most boring hour and 35 minutes I've ever experienced.

I'm sorry, but I just don't like these kiddy movies anymore. I've seen pretty much every Disney cartoon, and after a while, it's the same copy & paste story.

Graphics don't make a movie. Once you look past the graphics, it's a boring movie.

It's somewhat sappy and feminine, so I wouldn't expect a mind blowing experience, unless of course you're the kind of person who cried during those talking pig movies, or loves Jack Nicholson impressions. Still fun enough, and worth that price at the very least.

I like Pixar movies, but I didn't like this one.

After the 600th "OH NO he's dead! Oh wait he's just fine" I got too tired with it. On the other hand, my parents used to own an aquarium that took up two rooms, so they enjoyed it simply because they've owned so many of these types of sealife and would laugh about how they do act like that.

I just saw it on TV...like yesterday or day before. I kinda liked it...and one of the main characters is funny as hell. You could just tape it, if you can catch it on TV, or watch, whatever.

But 12.99 doesn't sound bad at all. It's a good movie. Especially for what it is.

For $12.99 Finding Nemo is a huge steal! I say get it at that price while you still can, hell its a steal at regular price in my opinion.

You're not.

I wish I could say the same thing. Anywho, the bring up my spirits, I'll continue to watch Scarface on Encore.

Scarface is boring and way way over the top, I gave that film 2 chances and I never saw what the big deal was with it.

Carlito's Way is a million times better.

So you didn't find Dory funny at all?

I often make blind purchases.

I mean, sometimes I haven't heard a thing about it, but with this one, you would've heard feedback, and you haven't heard anything bad, have you?

It's great. Cute as hell, there were quite a few points where I laughed, and I really don't like cartoons at all.

Nut up and buy it, hippie.

The better half bought it and I had to sit through it. I liked Monsters, Inc. more, but I thought it was better than Toy Story (although this may have more to do with watching it a thousand freaking times while babysitting my future niece and nephew in-law).

In addition, although I don't think Ellen DeGen. is funny at all, she was a great voice for her character, imo.

my parents used to own an aquarium that took up two rooms, so they enjoyed it simply because they've owned so many of these types of sealife and would laugh about how they do act like that.

Had a 20-gallon tank when I was a kid. Bastards kept dying, except for my Polka-dot catfish that lived for about 5 years.

And Zebra Danios, Dwarf Groumis and those blue striped "sharks" rule...

It's that good. I love these movies, and this one is right up their with my favorites (Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback, Monsters Inc.)

It's a very good movie but my favorite Disney/Pixar one is Toy Story 2. Anyway, you wouldn't waste your money if you got it.

BTW, one of THE greatest Disney films, Aladdin, is coming out on DVD on November/December. Now that's a sure fire buy.

Finding Nemo was the first movie to captivate my daughter for longer than 2 minutes (she sat still for 20 freakin minutes!)...I enjoyed it, ranks up there with Lion King and Willy Wonka as "my shit" for family movies...for 13 bones? definently scoop it up, whether you have kids or not, you may someday!

That's the great thing about Pixar - their films aren't just aimed at children.

And say, while it looks great on the cover artwork, how was Sydney captured in the movie?

The character was funny for the first 15-20 minutes she was around, but the shit got old fast with the forgetful memory.

It's called an opinion. He asked for what people thought, and I gave him an honest answer. I don't go into sheep mode because the vast majority liked it.

For exaple, I don't get uptight when people say Scarface is a boring movie unless someone's getting killed, because maybe some people aren't into movies like this.

I take issues with your claim that the story is a carbon copy of other Disney cartoons- it isn't. It's inspired more by movies like THE CHAMP, then THE LION KING.

You're just wrong.

Father Fish must find son fish in a big world... definitely not the freshest idea when it comes to animated movies. The only difference is it starred fish characters.
