notJames 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Well they are borther and sister That one went right over my head. That's an inside joke from Lance's website. Someone asked him if he and Victoria were related, so he ran with it and told him they were siblings. As for the dancing, if I'm not mistaken, that was part of her repertoire when she was a fitness model. But boy, does she look stupid busting moves on the stage. It's so random and awkward and out of place, like watching the Star Wars Kid. All she needs are Hammer pants and a fade and we can start calling her MC Victoria. Or not. Silence 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 I remember reading reports some time ago that alot of the changes that Victoria has done, making up her hair, wearing makeup, in general making herself look pretty and the whole babyface thing is because Victoria wants to pose nude in Playboy which I think is a bad idea. Here's why we know what would happen after Victoria poses in Playboy the WWE would put her in a dumb feud with formers playmates Torrie and Sable over who was the better WWE Playmate and lord help us if the WWE wants to bring back Chyna and put her in the feud. It's official: Victoria HAS pissed her wrestling career away.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 And her dancing isn't all that bad. When she first broke into the business she was a cheerleader, then she was one of the Godfathers ho's. She has the shake and jiggle down. She knows how to dance.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 What the hell is with WWE's obsession with dancing gimmicks? In the past two years there's been Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi, "Hip Hop Hippo" Albert, Lance Storm, the return of Grand Master Sexay, and now lame face Victoria. Shit, if they want to get someone who can actually DO the gimmick, they should ask Ultimo Dragon really politelike if Magnum TOKYO can spend some time working for them. Guest gearhead Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Hey! Its generic WWE Mark #452. How are you doing buddy? I couldn't quite make out what you were trying to say but I'll try. Who told you that Victoria just decided to start dancing for no reason what so ever? Was it one of your 'sources'? Why did you say 'people are reading too much into this'? You say that as if everyone is passing around conspiracy theories or something. Everyone just said they were bored of her. God. Anyway, to stay on topic, yeah Victoria is boring as hell as a babyface. What I would like to see is her remain this way till a feud with Trish starts. Trish does something like a massive beatdown with Christian or something, and it makes Victoria go nuts again. The crazy Victoria and Stevie get back together (as faces), she gets the theme back and everyone is happy. Originally Posted by backstagewrestling.com The license for WWE to use the T.A.T.U. song "All The Things She Said" (Victoria's old entrance music) recently expired. This explains the crazy dance music and whatever spasms Victoria was experiencing while coming to the ring listening to it. Not a good idea. To have her in another feud with Trish would break both there characters. Trish is in a great feud now, and has a great partner in Christian, not to mention the recent evolution of their partnership, Tyson Tomkoe. With that said, Trish isnt gonna be going against Vic any time soon, so scrap that idea. She would be a good Face, if she wasnt so smiley. Shes always happy, and who wouldnt to be the Womens champ (If you were a women ). The fact of the matter is she went from Crazy to Sane in a matter of a week, she didnt let her charater evolve from Heel to Face as fluently as it should have for her character to take shape and be the figurehead of Womens Wrestling. If she does turn Heel, she should drop the belt, and start an inter-gender feud with Stevie Richards. It would get Steve back on TV, plus it gets to show Victorias character back to when she was her best. If she was to start a feud with Stevie, it would be as good as Chyna vs. Jericho or Jarrett, with lots of good matches, and it would show that Women can wrestle and they arent a piece of eye-candy for the good of horny little teenagers. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 They got rid of Stevie because he is not over, failed to become a face, and would harm Victoria's change into the top babyface woman on Raw around WM 20. That's about it. Good move, I say. Stevie, tho a funny guy and all, just isn't interesting to a mass audience in the ring.
Guest croweater Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Stevie was over for the amount of time they gave him to get over. But he was another dimension to Victoria's character that she no longer has.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 The psychoness and the tatu theme song was what was great about Victoria. They just went together. Now, she's just Lance Storm with tits. HA!! Truth be told, I always thought the psychoness was really forced, and she wasn't very good acting in that role. However, it's 5x better than this crap. I remember reading reports some time ago that alot of the changes that Victoria has done, making up her hair, wearing makeup, in general making herself look pretty and the whole babyface thing is because Victoria wants to pose nude in Playboy which I think is a bad idea. I don't think I'd even be so pissed at how it's insulting and degrading to women. I'd be pissed at HOW WE'VE ALREADY HAD THIS CRAP HOW MANY TIMES?!?! Here's why we know what would happen after Victoria poses in Playboy the WWE would put her in a dumb feud with formers playmates Torrie and Sable over who was the better WWE Playmate and lord help us if the WWE wants to bring back Chyna and put her in the feud. If that means Victoria turns heel, I'm all for Torrie taking about 5 Widow's Peaks. Thing is, that won't happen. She'll ally herself with Torrie and Sable and take on Trish, Stacy, and Jackie in a 6-woman bra and panties match at WM. Or, God help us, replace Trish's name there with Chyna's. *shudder* I was wondering why the hell they just fired GM, when they might as well pair him with Victoria and Rosie for Too Cool - Raw Edition. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Stevie will never get over till he gets a gimmick. I'm still pushing for 'Your pal, Stevie R' with him just going around helping people. But this is what happens to you when your finisher is the same finisher as a Kliq member. As for Victoria, that dance was long and painful. It was just well too long. If it had been 10 seconds, that's fine and dandy. And is it just me, or from a distance do 90% of the females on the RAW roster look a little too manly in the face? EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Something else I don't like is when Victoria does the "shake my ass before doing a moonsault thing". Not that I don't mind her ass it's just SO not her and sometimes it looks like she's having an attack of some kind.

That's exactly the kind of moves those women do at competitions. When I saw her entrance I thought I'd accidentally switched turned the channel to ESPN2. dubq 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 I really don't see why WWE saw fit to change her this fast, this much. I know it's a loose comparison, but fuck, at least they invested time in Mankind's psycho-heel to nutty-babyface to full-fledged-babyface turn. He kept a lot of his qualities from the original character. There's no reason why psycho Vicky as a face wouldn't work. They just didn't want to give it a CHANCE to work. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 You know what the worse thing is? Ever since she turned from being a psycho to a generic babyface, the crowd seemingly doesn't care about her save for the booty shake thingy before her moonsault. I don't think WWE quite gets that the fans like unique personalities, even on hot girls. Look at Lita: she gets a great reaction. Because she's a good wrestler? Hell no. Because she is prettier than the rest of the women? Nope. Because she's different? Ding, ding, ding!
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Victoria without the belt - crazy Victoria with belt - happy-go-lucky Her mood and mental state is directly related to whether or not she has the gold. Dark Age 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 It would be neat though. Here's hoping they have her go nuts when she drops the belt. I don't think WWE quite gets that the fans like unique personalities, even on hot girls. Look at Lita: she gets a great reaction. Because she's a good wrestler? Hell no. Because she is prettier than the rest of the women? Nope. Because she's different? Ding, ding, ding! Absolutely. It's one reason why it worked when Rocky and Austin turned. They played pretty much the same character only on the other side of the fence. Cena turns face and sudenyl he's a really good guy, loves the crowd, etc. Same with Victoria. It's a problem. WWE realises people like these characters, so they turn them face and let the crowd get behind them. Once they've turned face, WWE feels the need to change the character to become more fan friendly, forcing the character to lose the edge that the fans began cheering them for to begin with. I don't know why this is so hard for them to understand.

I don't know why this is so hard for them to understand. It's kind of sad that WWE has kept that same formula since 1999. Considering that the roster split and the name change (from WWF to WWE) in 2002 should have signaled a new era, you would think that WWE would quit making heel-turned-faces become boring and fan friendly like they've been doing for several years, but Vince obviously won't change that for a while because he's the human version of MTV. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Hold up. I don't watch Heat nowadays. Who's this 'Stevie' we're all talking about? That guy who got beat up by Evolution? And, yes, face Victoria is getting tedious...but to her credit, she's putting a lot of effort into making it work. Obviously not effort as in 'dancing lessons', but effort nonetheless.
