In my earlier prom I went dressed like John Lennon circa 1963, so I was thinking of maybe wearing some Sgt. Pepper's outfit. I dunno. A date?: No, we don't really do that here. Went to COC in 2002, moved to Miami, just started again in 2004 at Miami Dade College. What's your major?: Music and Film Are you commuting or staying on campus?: Commuting, no dorms on campus If not college, what are you going to do?: I went to the Marines in 2001 and got kicked out for "fradulent enlistment".. Basically, I can go back in if I want to, especially since I finished one of the top recruits in my class, just didn't finish all of basic (8 out of the 12 weeks) Did you get any awards/scholarships?: No. Made Honor Roll a few times in high school though, I think. I almost wanted to go somewhere in Vancouver for a moment before I realized the weather would be too rainy. Likewise, University of Portland, a ways down in Oregon. I obviously have a West Coast bias, but Simon Fraser Univeristy (SFU), University of British Columbia (UBC), University of Calgary, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo are all pretty highly regarded universities up here. Waterloo as well for certain things, and UBC out west is the only that stands out from what I can tell. McGill is in Montreal, but it's purely English speaking anyways. Pretty nice jacket if I say so myself. A date?: Nope. What university are you going to next year?: University of Toronto, was thinking of going to U of W but the co op program offers NO summer break. I don't care how many years of work experience you fit in there, FUCK THAT SHIT. What's your major?: It's broken down into majors, minors and specializations or something right? Doesn't matter, I'm going into Chemical Engineering, which I guess qualifies as a "professional" program. Are you commuting or staying on campus?: Commuting. Not that far, and res is too much cash at this point. If not college, what are you going to do?: Doesn't apply. Prom is the most overrated, overhyped, and overpriced popularity contest EVER. The prom king & queen is decided freshmen year, with substitutes when necessary, hell it's got more political backstabbing than wrestling. Just get a bunch of friends and get drunk, cheap and easy. Graduation is 2-3 boring hours of talk followed by the diplomia handing out, then hats off. Not to mention depressing. You're not missing out on anything. Got a limo?: Saved up the money for it, didn't end up getting one. A tux/dress?: Rented a black tux with a Periwinkle vest. Had never heard of periwinkle before. A date?: After getting turned down several times I found a junior to go with me. If she'd said no I wasn't going. What college are you going to next year?: Went to University of Washington for four quarters, transfered to Eastern Washington. What's your major?: Accounting Are you commuting or staying on campus?: Stayed on campus at UW, commute to Eastern. If not college, what are you going to do?: Did you get any awards/scholarships?: Not really. I was in the top 15% of my class so I qualified for an automatic scholarship. But my parents made too much money so I was disqualified. Also I had applied to Eastern and got an automatic $1,000 a year scholarship, but since I went to UW first I didn't get it. I think that belongs to "Homecoming" but I can understand why you feel that way. What I hated about "prom season" was that many chicks went WAY overboard in their preparations. Usually those were the chicks that either had their dates stand them up or within a few hours into the event they were in a corner crying over some stupid little mishap...
