Results from the fourth round, so that you can discuss/bitch about it here (in addition to voting for the next round):

Rocky - 10 votes

Pulp Fiction - 25 votes

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back - 14 votes

Kill Bill Vol. 1 - 21 votes

Fight Club - 15 votes

Back to the Future - 20 votes

Reservoir Dogs - 18 votes

Terminator 2: Judgment Day - 17 votes

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As with the previous rounds, the match-ups were determined by a random drawing. Once again, just so there's no confusion, this is a "favorite movie" tourney, not a "best movie ever" tourney. Voting will end Friday. In the event of a tie, I'll flip a coin to see which movie advances.

Back to the Future

Pulp Fiction

Reservoir Dogs

Kill Bill Vol. 1

You're telling me three of the final four are Tarantino movies? Cripes. Way to be varied.

Kill Bill Vol. 1

I seriously can't believe that after all those movies were eliminated that these are the four left......fucking Tarantino love....

I must have painfully different taste in movies than all of you all ... out of the 4 left, one of them I've seen a few times and didn't like (BTtF), one I've seen only once and didn't like (Pulp Fiction), one I've seen once and thought it was good but wicked overrated (Res. Dogs) and one that I haven't bothered to see yet (KBv1).

So, I'll have to go with:

Back to the Future

and

Reservoir Dogs

Why am I not suprised that all the Tarantino movies advanced? Tarantino is so damn overrated.

I'm not even gonna bother here...I didn't think people had this bad of taste in movies than to pick 3 Tarantino movies.

It seems as he got more and more popular, Tarantino got more and more underrated. Sure the Tarantino fan-boys put him on a pedestle way too high, but since when did rational fans of a selected medium start listening to fan-boys.

Will Tarantino go down in history as one of the all time greatest directors? It remains to be seen, but I doubt it. Is he a good director and worthy of the nonfan-boy love he gets? Yes.

I think Tarantino will end up like Sam Peckinpah historically. A director who isn't too often discussed in "greatest all time directors" discussions, but is well known in a certian genre. And like Peckinpah Tarantino will likely be remembered in the action genre.
