Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I hope Angry Beavers wins. "Spoot" is one of the best pseudo-curse words ever. Does anybody remember a kid's show from the 80's that starred three people and a person in an elephant suit? I want to say it was called "The Elephant Show", but I'm not sure. This thread got me thinking about it as well as other shows I saw as a kid like "Under the Umbrella Tree" and "Don't Just Sit There". Not like it's a big deal or anything, and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the kids talk show that was the TV debut of Wil Fredle(sp?) or the older brother from Boy Meets World? Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 And Doug wins. Who are these tools that Nickelodeon has introducing shows? What the hell happens to them when they're let go?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Just give me an old Nicktoons network. Show everything up to about 1998, or whenever Hey Arnold got new voice actors and started sucking. Rocko's Modern Life is actually more enjoyable than Ren and Stimpy to me now. Back in the day, Ren and Stimpy was mah show, but Rocko has more staying power I think. EDIT: See, the episode that was on at 6 is an example, where Arnold and Gerald go to a dance with the 6th grade girls. Funny premise, and the two of them channeling the 70s was the best. Guest slacklet Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Hippy-ti-yi-ya (Hippy-ti-yi-what?) I'm pretty sure it was "yippy kai-yai-aye" or something to that effect. But I like your interpretation better.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Did All That win? I would guess it would cause its got more star power than Hey Dude and My Brother and me...Hell I don't even remember My Brother and Me, and I'm sure the kids have no idea what "Hey Dude" is. So I wouldn't at all be surprised if All That won.

Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Good. I'd rather watch a marathon of fucking Catdog than My Brother and Me. I'm embarassed that spooty show took place in my hometown.

Come on, give Goo some lovin'. He was the only bright spot in the show. Maybe DiDi and ...uh, Alphie?'s dad. Him starting a story about flair vs. Valentine is gold! And uh...Goos cousin's...Moo...and....Blue. And Kendall Gill made a guest appearence!

Guest netslob Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Fifteen. It was referenced earlier in this very thread. Ryan Reynolds, who played Van Wilder in the movie of the same name, was on it. this show was just sooo delightfully bad: "I think Matt has a drinking problem..." "What are you talking aboot?" and what the hell was up with that pinball machine? the damn thing wasn't even fuckin' PLUGGED IN!! they'd just stare straight ahead, hitting the paddles randomly, and spout their lines. god that show was bad...but in a GOOD way. Ryan Reynolds, who played Van Wilder in the movie of the same name, was on it. this show was just sooo delightfully bad: "I think Matt has a drinking problem..." "What are you talking aboot?" I loved it when the one guy confronted Ashley about Dylan's drinking problem. It went something like this: Matt: Ashley, we need to talk. Ashley: About what? Matt: Your boyfriend has a drinking problem. Ashley: Why would you say that? :: Matt holds up carton of buttermilk :: Matt: I found this in his locker. Ashley: OH MY GOD ::cries:: NOT BUTTERMILK! It was implied that buttermilk covers up alcohol on one's breath if they had been drinking, so of course they jump to the conclusion that buttermilk = alcoholic. Corny shit. EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Question. Was I the only one that wanted to have a 3 way with Melody and Brad back in the day? But, looking at them now I think Melody looks cute while I don't think Brad is really that good looking.
Drury37 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Here's another one: There was some dumb soap opara-type show about these crazy kids in high school. I can't think of the title though. There was the jock with the booze problem, some blonde chick that was his girlfriend. Another chick that wanted the jock, and, damn, I can't remember anyone else. I think there was a chinese kid. Oh well... Welcome Freshman and as I read through the rest of the posts maybe not but Welcome Freshman was still a very good show. Thanks.
