Papacita 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 During their heel run in 98, Headbangers also had the catchphrase "There's no right way, there's no wrong way, there's only the Headbanger way." I always thought it was cool (as some of the OAOAST folks could probably attest to), but it never caught on with the fans.
Guest netslob Report post Posted June 5, 2004 Saturn's "What're you lookin' at?" i actually liked this one...he started it in the whole "Saturn's-forced-to-wear-a-dress" angle, and the phrase fit it pretty well, i think. "Out with evolution-in with The Revolution" Man, that was a heat-killing stable yes, i concur. it was cool when they banned together to 'fight the establishment'...but then they started dressing like Castro and declaring themselves a "separate country"...ugh, it sucked the high, hard one. Oh, and Farooq's "Damn!" all he needed to do add was "Dat is Whack!" and "Blang-Blang!"

Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 Dont know how much of a catchphrase it was but Booker T Said " You damn skippy hippy" That never caught on but I liked it.
cue_meanie 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 Even tho everyone's using older WWE phrases, I'll go with a newer one, from TNA. Erik Watts tried for MONTHS plural to get everyone to say Jeff "The Jack... ASS" Jarrett. However EVERY SINGLE TIME it ended being Jeff " The Jack *points mic at crowd...silence" Jarrett. Erik Watts...*hangs head in disgust*

Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 I'm guessing when he fueded with steph. I have no idea, it just seems like he would say that to her.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 When did he say that again? Sometime during his feud with Austin last year. He also used it on the RAW following SS in Tucson after it went off the air. Chris Jericho's "King of the world" and "Living legend" didn't catch on. King of The World infinity > King of Bling Bling (+1)
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 "Give me a Doo-wah-ditty-ditty-dum-ditty-doo!" - Chris Jericho When did he say that again? September 8th Raw. I was there. Remember when Booker T. first won the WCW World Title? And then they tried to make him into a Rock clone (which seemed to kill his heat)? He had "Save the drama...for yo' momma!" and some other catchphrases that no one bought into. He even had one like that open up this theme music (it wasn't even "Can you dig it...sucka!?"). Watching Booker go from one of WCW's breakout stars to a desperate attempt to copy the WWF's biggest star at the time was downright depressing for me. The Dames 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 The most blatant aspect of turning Booker T to The Rock in my eyes was his new wardrobe. All of a sudden, he started wearing sunglasses all the time, with elaborate silk shirts, unbuttoned. JUST like The Rock. Dames
Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted June 6, 2004 Anyone remember what TAKA/Funaki said to Molly Holly? Don't know exactly, but it went 'Ha ha, you are wrong, apple pie eating American girl'. It was hilarious. Here's the whole promo, including that line from Taka.... "Seeing as it's the Holiday season, on behalf of the entire Holly family, I'd like to wish each and every one of you one of the merriest, merriest, merriest Christmases of all time, ever, and ever, and ever!"--Molly *Singing* "We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you..."--Crash "Shut the hell up! Now you remember what happened at Thanksgiving don't you?"--Hardcore "Cousin, it'a holiday!"--Crash "Don't you remeber how long it took to get that turkey leg out of your..."--Hardcore "Cousin, what are you doing? You're not supposed to say that!"--Crash "Now look, you Santa-loving, elf-lookalikes! You can dream all you want about chestnuts roasting over an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a buncha folks that look like Eskimos. I don't give a damn about any of it!"--Hardcore "Oh cousin, you big old scrooge! We're just trying to wish everyone a merry Christmas, and you should do the same! Now, don't be a mean one, Mr. Grinch! It's Christmas time in the city!"--Molly "You know what, cousin, I'm not scared of you! If you don't wish everyone here a merry Christmas, I'm gonna...I'm gonna..."--Crash "What are you gonna go, Rudolph?"--Hardcore *Singing* "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride..."--Crash *In BADLY dubbed voices* "You Hollys! You sing, you dance, but can you fight?"--Taka "Indeed!"--Funaki "We will make you pay for your crazy American antics, and your insolent behavior!"--Taka "Indeed!"--Funaki "Ho, ho, ho, hold on a minute here! Are you guys challenging us?"--Molly "You are correct, silly, apple-pie eating, American girl! We want to fight, and we want to fight now!"--Taka "Indeed!"--Funaki *After the Hollys defeat Kaientai* "You have won the battle, but the war is far from over! Hahahaha!"--Taka "Indeed!"--Funaki *Molly & Crash convince Hardcore to wear a Santa hat* *Singing* "...and a happy New Year!"--Crash "Everybody have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year."--Hardcore --Molly, Crash, Hardcore, and Kaientai (12/17/00 Sunday Night HeAt!) About the only time in his career that Bob Holly was entertaining if I recall.

The thing with "Don't hate the player..." was, no matter what, Booker worked it into every interview he ever did, even though it was never over. Half of the time, you could tell they had struggled tot ry to find a way to work it in. Most of the time, they didn't try hard enough.
