Guest glennsoe Report post Posted June 8, 2004 THIS INCLUDES SPOILERS ON THE MENOIT-KANE MATCH..SO BEWARE... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I keep hearing from people on the Smackdown brand that Torrie Wilson has “gone Hollywood” since her Playboy pictorial and has been acting very differently backstage than she did before she posed for the magazine. I have heard from a few people that she doesn’t get along very well with the other divas any more and seems much more high-strung now. What is it about that magazine that totally changes people’s views of themselves? I mean, posing naked isn’t exactly finding a cure for cancer! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ At the 6/4 show in Pesaro, Italy, the top rope broke during the Dudleys vs. Charlie Haas and Rico match. They ended the bout early and the ring crew fixed it pretty quickly. The teams adapted in the ring and handled it well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From what I keep hearing, the company is very high on Mordecai and feels he is working very hard to earn his push. He is said to be a good learner and a hard worker and management is very happy with him so far. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WWE has just released the following statement concerning John Bradshaw Layfield's "Nazi Salute" from the 6/5 Smackdown brand show in Munich Germany. "WWE and John Layfield deeply regret Mr. Layfield's actions in the ring at our event in Munich, and apologize if it has offended or upset our fans. Mr. Layfield has been reprimanded for his actions." From what I was told, WWE management in Munich basically just told him not to do it again and there was nothing else done about it at that time. He wasn't even fined at the time from what I was told. But once the story broke in the wrestling media, it became a public matter and WWE had to react. From what I have heard, WWE has already felt some heat over Bradshaw's actions from some of the people that they do business with. I know for a fact that the issue has been raised at CNBC, where Bradshaw works as an on-air analyst, and it would not surprise me to see something arise from that situation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Local advertising for World Wrestling Entertainment's return to Madison Square Garden on Saturday 6/26 announced the main events for the Raw house show. The main events of the show feature: *WWE World champion Chris Benoit vs. Kane *Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels in a New York Street Fight ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He wasn't even fined at the time from what I was told. So they were going to let Bradshaw off for breaking German laws with nothing but fired Brian Christopher for being late to 1 show and want to fine Guerrero for saying "Germany sucks". Color me not surprised.

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 So Rico and Haas/The Dudleys>The Hart Foundation/The Rockers, apparently. And nothing is more racist than firing that poor, white Brian Christopher. Teehee~!
haVoc 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 When was it reported Eddie was getting fined? I thought it was people on here who think they're WWE management who said he should be fined?

SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I consider it hypocritical for the German government to use censorship to supress Nazi views. Censorship of others was one of the main things that the Nazis used to control that country. Yes, the Nazis were the worst period of German history, but by banning their symbols the German government is condoning their tactics.
Guest Benno Report post Posted June 8, 2004 um..what bradshaw did was go too far with his heel charactor...what eddy did was break charactor completely even though hes meant to be the top babyface...i dont know how rvd is related to all this, but rvd being repremanded for being late all the time is kind of different to bradshaw going too far to get heel heat... ....and anyway as far as we've seen, eddy has not yet been fined, theres just rumour of that happening..just as there was rumour of bradshaw getting fined...it doesnt look like either is going to happen now, so where is there double standards in all this? Yeah if anyone needs to be shit on, it's that Tomko guy. Everytime he does his big boot, he either misses by a mile or almost kills the guy. I still can't believe there using this guy when they could have used O'Haire for this role.

How about this: They're trying to sell this guy like a 7'0'' monster when he's an averaged sized wrestler.

No thanks - I don't like the Undertaker we already have, why would I want another? If he busts out some awesome matches, I'll change my tune, but for now I say "meh". Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I think Mordecai can be a good talent for the future as he's supposed to be a good wrestler and good on the mic. His beard looks like yellow snow though. And it was wrong of Bradshaw to do what he did and shows how hard it is for him to get heat as he has to resort to that. This is definatly gonna get his ass grilled in CNBC anyway

Where in the hell did you hear Mordecai was a good worker? Anyway, thank God they aren't putting Kane over Meniot. The match they had at the house show I went to wasn't one of the 'great ones' they supposedly had at other shows, but I have in Chris to pull it off. COME ON MENOIT! Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Was it the 7:00 match in England? Because if so, Kane was working injured, and they had to cut it short.
Dark Age 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Yeah, it was. I don't blame them for the way that match turned out. As you say, Kane was injured, the match was rushed, the crowd was burnt out, and it was booked terribly. Hopefully, with about 20-25 minutes, they can pull of something good. You could tell that there was some story squashed in there, but due to the shortness of the match it just came off really bad. Like the double headbutt spot, and Benoit's reversing the chokeslam. With a longer match I'm sure they could actually build to these and make them mean something, rather than just what I got to see at the HS, that being a poor, un-organised mess. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 More news: WWE Notes: Victoria's Dancing, Candido, Morale Posted By Ashish on 06.08.04 Victoria's dancing gets the ax.... - WWE has dropped Victoria's dance routine since it bombed. The dancing was Victoria's idea. Thank GOD - Chris Candido was originally scheduled to work a dark match at the Smackdown taping tonight but did not end up working. - Morale backstage is very low right now, especially on Smackdown. Much of the talent is upset with WWE's recent attempt to create a dress code for the talent. WTF? What kind of dress code could you have wrestlers adhere to? Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 9, 2004 I could see it if they wanted the workers to look presentable and classy during public functions (signings and so forth)... because i've seen many where the workers do it in sweats or jeans and t shirt. but if they mean in the back...thats fucked up It is really becoming a High School .
