Guest glennsoe Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Credit for the following news items goes to the Pro Wrestling Torch: What may be a surprise to many, Bradshaw's current program with Eddie Guerrero is scheduled to go on longer than many thing it will. As of right now the program is scheduled to go beyond the Great American Bash PPV, and sources are saying that the two may even face each other in a match at this year's Summerslam PPV. There is still time for that to change of course, but there is a lot of thought that Vince McMahon feels strongly enough about Bradshaw's character that he would continue to push him as the brand's top heel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Oh brother !!! God helps us all........
Guest thebigjig Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I just realized that I don't care... I haven't watched SD in over two months now, so it's like it just doesn't exist to me anymore
King Cucaracha Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Well, I don't trust sources. Didn't 'sources' say Mark Jindrak was getting the title shot?
Lord of The Curry Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Normally I'd say "Good thing I don't watch Smackdown" but I realized that this may crap up the possibility of Angle/Eddy II or Eddy/RVD, which is not good. Two PPV's is enough. Shit, one was enough.
Mystery Eskimo Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I don't see JBL getting a longer main event programme on the back of his little German incident. But if Vince wants Bradshaw to be a maineventer so he shall be.
geniusMoment Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Its been 4 months and 1 week for me without SD. Now I have started a raw streak thanks to Eugene. God do I miss the competition of the Monday Night Wars. I remember reading in the torch a couple of years back about how in a few years we will not look back at the flaws of the shows but about how that was one of the greatest times to be a wrestling fan. I guess the torch got one right, as I miss those days oh so very much.
AlaskanHero Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 If it does go to Summerslam then everyone's in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Don't buy Summerslam and you miss the Raw gold that'll be on the show. Buy it and you'll have to sit through the Smackdown segments. It's marketing genius as they're pretty much forcing you to watch Smackdown. It makes you ask what is greater, your hatred for Bradshaw or your curiousity concerning Raw's segments.
Zack Malibu Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 It'll be UT/Bradshaw at Summerslam. Too soon for Mordecai, although that's never stopped WWE before.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 If it's true, expect me to not care. I don't watch SD anymore, ever since the end of April. The WWE will, of course, look like idiotic rednecks for not firing or suspending JBL after the Germany incident, but Vince Macmahon has never let reason get in the way of... um, what's he trying to do again? Get money? Make SD look bad? As long as SS is 3/4 Raw and 1/4 SD I'll be happy.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 It's marketing genius as they're pretty much forcing you to watch Smackdown. Then again, they could just make Smackdown watchable all by itself
King Cucaracha Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 It'll be UT/Bradshaw at Summerslam. Why do that, when their 'after Smackdown has finished' feud is going so well?
Dark Age Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Oh God. I doubt this is true, but if it is, then doesn't that mean Bradshaw needs to win the belt at GAB for it to continue? God help us all.
Youth N Asia Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Smackdown has been nothing but background noise for me the last few months. I honestly just can't make myself care all that much for what they do anymore. It's just ugly tv, and this isn't going to help.
claydude14 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I feel bad about how far Smackdown! has fallen from watchable, as it used to be the better show, so obviously you know it's more capabale then it's showing. I feel bad for the roster members at Smackdown, seeing thier brand become the definite #2 brand. I feel bad for Eddy, who's first title reign most of us are tuning out of.... if they ever made Smackdown 'good again,' they could blame it on Eddy.
Art Sandusky Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Bradshaw must have pictures on Vince or something. This is a seriously troubling rumor.
CanadianChris Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 And they expect us to believe that the fans determine who gets pushed? I'd say I was boycotting SmackDown, but I really don't care enough about it to call it that.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I don't watch Smackdown. But I'm going to GAB. I was hoping I'd atleast see the blowoff of this shitty feud and be able to say "I was there when they finally ended that crap." But apparently there will be another bullshit finish...... or JBL could..... win? To extend the feud?
CanadianChris Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I don't watch Smackdown. But I'm going to GAB. Guest INXS Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Not a bad idea considering the current talent depth of Smackdown. The Eddie/JBL feud is over with me and the last PPV match was pretty good.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Well it's better than Jindrak... No its not. Jindrak's younger and has more possible upside as a legit Main Eventer for years to come. Bradshaw, especially after his latest incident, is as useless as a limp dick for the company.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 ......OK, someone please tell me this is the joke and Mark Jindrak is the serious challenger. At least he's not a racist, has an impressive physique, and can do a propper dropkick.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Well, I don't trust sources. Didn't 'sources' say Mark Jindrak was getting the title shot? Well they were considering it but they decided they'd reward Bradshaw for the public relations nightmare he caused over the weekend. The scarey thing is, the longer this goes on the greater the chance Bradshaw is getting the title.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I can deal with another bullshit finish to a PPV, just as long as they don't give Bradshaw the title.
Guest Cheech Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Meh, I doubt they would let a crappy feud like this go on for 5 months straight. I want Eddie vs. Angle rematch at Summerslam, when I'm there live.
Guest CubbyBear Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 What they should do is turn RVD heel and join him up with the Dudleyz/Heyman. Make RVD "Mr. Thursday Night" the cocky SOB he can be, give the Dudleyz their edge back and along with Heyman we have a good heel stable. Then they could have Eddie, John Cena, and Taker as the top faces feuding with them.
The Mandarin Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 If Bradshaw is there when I'm at SummerSlam, I'm starting up a "He's a Nazi!" chant.
Guest OraleHolmes Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 SummerSlam is the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. Why are these FUCKERS tarnishing the SummerSlam name with Bradshaw vs. Eddie, AGAIN ? Fuck Vince.
