MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Im rooting for The Ronald Regan Falls where theres only a trickle of water going over the falls and if you stand under it to get wet, it evaporates before it gets to you. Or something like that..
Jobber of the Week Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 And there won't be trees anywhere, because they cause pollution?
Guest thebigjig Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 They can replace Hamilton, he wasn't even a fucking President. He was too important in our early history... besides, neither was Franklin... do you suggest dropping him too?
Spaceman Spiff Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Wasn't Hamilton 1st Sec. of the Treasury, too? That's probably another reason not to take him off the bill.
Vyce Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 What's wrong with Jackson? Anyone that beats the shit out of someone that tries to shoot them fucking owns. He was a bleeding heart liberal. Actually, he was the President who's attitudes and policies towards Native Americans facilitated and allowed for the Trail of Tears, which was tantamount to genocide. Speaking as someone of Cherokee descent, trust me when I say that he's not the sort of guy that Democrats want to hold up as great party icon. He's something of an anti-Lincoln, if you want a point of reference. I think he did more than facilitate it. He outright friggin' ignored the Supreme Court when they ruled against him. Though I'd have a friend that would argue for Jackson b/c of the giant cheesewheel he had. Worcester v. GA, right? There are tons of guys who deserve the spot more than Jackson. Hell, put Thomas fucking Paine on there.....if anyone remembers what he looked like.
Guest thebigjig Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 put Truman on the 20! my vote goes for Nixon
Slickster Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Why not just put Reagan on 1/2 of the dimes produced in 2005?
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Why not just put Reagan on 1/2 of the dimes produced in 2005? I think FDR and Reagan deserve more than to share a piece of currency.
Toshiaki Koala Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Now that we're on the subject of money, can anybody remember who's on every bill above $100? This has been bothering me for a while. (Isn't William McKinley on one of them?)
Guest thebigjig Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I say we put Ray Charles on the dime
Highland Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Now that we're on the subject of money, can anybody remember who's on every bill above $100? This has been bothering me for a while. (Isn't William McKinley on one of them?) Yes.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 What's wrong with Jackson? Anyone that beats the shit out of someone that tries to shoot them fucking owns. He was a bleeding heart liberal. The bleeding heart part came from the Indians he killed. Mind you I'm not complaining; who did those hippie Indians think they were. It's not like they owned the land or anything -- that's what deeds are for...
Toshiaki Koala Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Thanks, Naibus. That's just what I was looking for. Funny that a Klan member (Wilson) was put on the $100,000 bill while George Washington got the $1 (of course, the $1 bill is the most commonly used, so I can understand). James K. Polk should be on something.
Guest netslob Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 this is like that scene from the "Simpsons": paraphrased: (*inside Rebublican headquarters*) Burns: "So how goes our program to name everything after Ronald Reagan?" Dracula: "Well, three libraries are now Ronald Reagans...we've had the Mississippi River renamed the "Mississippi Reagan"...and my friend Frankenstein here has changed his name to Franken-Reagan."
Styles Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Again, Reagan should get the 20 or the 50, neither Jackson or Grant deserve to be on such important currency...
Guest El Satanico Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 They should create the .99 bill in Reagan's honour.
Jobber of the Week Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Burns: "So how goes our program to name everything after Ronald Reagan?" Dracula: "Well, three libraries are now Ronald Reagans...we've had the Mississippi River renamed the "Mississippi Reagan"...and my friend Frankenstein here has changed his name to Franken-Reagan." This makes me even happier to be a citizen of this country that we call Reagan.
The Czech Republic Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Why not just make special editions of the $1 bill with all the Presidents on them? Collect 'em all!
Vern Gagne Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 James K. Polk should be on something. Yes he should. The territory that is know Texas, and California came into US hands during his term. He also promised to serve only 1 term in office and he did.
The Czech Republic Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 And at James Polk High School, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game. The man is simply connected to greatness.
