I only have one official concert planned out this summer. But it's well worth it. Motherfuckin Prince, Musicology Tour, August 18th at the Fleet Center in Boston. Three hours of Prince with no worrying of shitty opening acts (Although I'm a little upset Prince didn't pick the Time to be an opening act).

I might also go to a Blue Oyster Cult/UFO double bill in late September at a 2000 seat ball room. The venue itself is terrible(It's like a huge Holiday Inn lounge) but tickets are only $20 and Jason Bonham's glorified Led Zeppelin tribute is opening.

I was going to go to Cannibal Corpse and Black Dahlia Murder in July, but I realized that I probably wouldn't have much fun since I like neither of those bands and I'm definitely not a big fan of the local death scene people for the most part. Other than that, I don't know...probably just local death metal bands and the Lethbridge Death Fest at the end of the summer.

I'm far too poor right now to travel for shows anywhere else.

Not a damn one. It was amazing; this spring, there was all sorts of good bands. dredg, Mars Volta, Dillinger (which I'm still kicking myself for missing)... And now it's all gone to hell. The only remotely good concerts, Clutch and Metal Church, are 21+. The best musician coming that I can go to is John Fogerty.

I hate being a teenager.

Went to Bonnaroo, next definite is the Slayer-headlined Jager tour.

The only shows that I have tickets for already are Ozzfest and Phish, both at the Great Woods. But I'm sure that I'll end up seeing some other shows, depending on the where/when/how much of them all.

I definitely want to go to Ozzfest, and maybe Evanescence later in July if I have the money and feel like it.

I'm interested in the Jager tour as well but don't know when it'll be coming around...

other than that, it's just hitting up the culture room at random times to see if anyone good is playing.

I heavily considered Ozzfest because this year features the strongest lineup ever, however I still decided that admission + the drive is too much.

I will be attending Slayer/Judas Priest since they are coming to Sacramento in between Ozzfest dates....

Umm, that is all I have confirmed.

Soulfly is coming here next month, I am considering that one too.

Ozzfest's tickets are like a mortgage payment.

They certainly are. I also don't like the sneaky way they put together the 2nd stage, and usually stuff all the good bands in the monring with the 15-20 minute set lists, and then once noon time hits, all the limp bizkit clones start hitting the stage. Not to mention the lineup is usually explained the OPPOSITE on the little flier they hand out when you are in line. Frustrating.

$50 would have been ok, but $80 is too much. I would rather go to a metalfest in SF and pay $15-$20 for 8 kickass bands.

Cyndi Lauper, MC5, The Eagles and The Who are all coming my way worth seeing. As to which I'll get, it depends on what I can afford, and the only affordable act of those four is MC5, so I guess I'll try and see them then.

I'm going to Philly July 23-25 for 3 Bloodhound Gang concerts where they will be debuting their new material. I got 2 tickets to each show for free just for saying I liked the sample MP3 they had on their site on their message board. I haven't even really listened to them in a few years, should be a good time though, they do some crazy stuff during their shows. It turns out this band I've been real into recently called Isabelle's Gift are going to be opening all 3 nights too. I was planning on making a trip out to Philly some time this summer to visit some people anyway, this is the perfect reason.

Haha.

Actually, I'm seeing Morris Day & The Time at Rockin' Ribfest this July, and it's free too. They played last year and saw them there, Jerome rules.

I'm missing KISS tommorow (gasp!), but im on my way to f'n DOKKEN, JACKYL and L.A Guns the 30th of June!

Super/Pseudo jazz jam band The Bad Plus is coming next weke as part of our Jazz Festival. Tomorrow Mike Watt's jazz duo, Dos, (with his ex-wife of Black Flag fame) is coming. That one depends on my mood, or how much grass I'll be smoking.

Planning to attend a Jerry Garcia birthday festival in Wisconsin, CSN in Baltimore, Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson somewhere...

Possibly Arlo Guthrie and Rebecca Moore in NYC and a Leftover Salmon festival in Ohio.

I thought about going to the Ozzfest for the hell of it...but tickets are a little much.

With the Warped Tour it's 30 bucks and you get music from noon till 8 (or so)

I'm interested in seeing the crowds this year at Ozzfest.

I'm most interested in how the drunk, fifty year olds are going to react to Hatebreed, Dimmu, etc.

In general, I want to see how much the audience changes. The number of women is going to go down huge thanks to the band line-up, and I can imagine that there are going to less of the preppy, asshole, college students there too.
